Rick, Jaws says it as I m I c u s b sound device, but because I can't virtualised the window, or use the jaws cursor, I can't be sure I'm spelling it right. However, if you unload, and reload Jaws without specific parameters it comes back and runs as an application, on the soundcard of your choice. What is the name of the soundcard you want Jaws to use? Re: [JAWS-Users] outlook
I'm doing OK with 2003, but think that 2002 was a little less quirky. I keep discovering little things about 2003- -like this weekend when InBox messages suddenly were not there after closing/re-opening the program. I think that something under view called 'show in groups' is probably checked by default; and things would disappear/reappear when I would press Enter on the group heading i.e. Today, Yesterday, etc. .. Just today I went through all my folders and unchecked that sweet little setting to hopefully make sure things stop doing that. Also when I delete messages in a folder where 'group by conversation' is checked, other messages can suddenly appear where the one was deleted. I remember that I liked some thing's about 2003 a little better when first installed- but can't remember any of them, for the life of me, at the moment. Also, 2003 keeps running in the system tray even when you close it. Oddly, my hot key won't re-launch it while it is there, so it has to be re-launched by using the Icon or going to the start menu. It will not re-launch from the system tray! Hmmm, it's not running in my systems tray 2003 that is... Re: [JAWS-Users] outlook
David I continue to use Outlook 2000 as well. In addition to your issue of closing out, when I open a message and then select read all with JAWS often it starts reading the message and then starts over again. How about with you? [JAWS-Users] the lame mp3 encoder
Hi all, I am trying to convert a file from ogg to mp3 using gold wave. I was told I had to download an encoder. so I downloaded the lame mp3 encoder from the jaws users website. when I went to the zip folder, I pressed enter on the file called lame.exe I got a message asking about extracting files. I did so and pressed enter on the lame.exe file again. The program seemed to be installed, but when I went to convert the file again, I got the same message that the I needed the mp3 encoder. can someone help me out please? from Andrew Visit the JAWS Users List home page at: http://www.jaws-users.com Visit the Blind Computing home page at: http://www.blind-computing.com Address for the list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com To post to this group, send email to jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help from Mailman with your account Put the word help in the subject or body of a blank message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Use the following address in order to contact the management team [EMAIL PROTECTED] If you wish to join the Blind Computing list send a blank email to the following address: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Re: [JAWS-Users] the lame mp3 encoder
I believe you need to place the lame DLL file in the same location as the gold wave program itself. Re: [JAWS-Users] outlook
It does seem to read messages just fine for the most part. Honestly I don't use it as much because of the close out issue. If that ever gets resolved then I'll probably use it much more. [JAWS-Users] Fire Fox and home pages
Hi folks, I recently installed Fire Fox 3.0.04 and the current version of Webvisum. The issue is when selecting the Google accessible home page it does not stay in my browser, the browser defaults back to the standard version of Google. This certainly isn't the end of the world however it is annoying. My machine is configured with XP-Pro and the current versions of Jaws 8 and 9. Is anybody aware of a fix, work around, or more stable home page?
