Go into your iTunes folder and copy the iTunes Library.itl file to your
clipboard and put it somewhere. Then when you do manage to get the older
iTunes installed, paste it over the existing iTunesLibrary.itl file it
will

create...unless your library is already there in iTunes first.

I am not sure if you can copy and paste. If you were using the version
that
was released before 9.0 then it would take you like maybe five mins to
sign

up.
How do I go back to the previous version of itunes. If I uninstall itunes
and reinstall old version, won't that delete my library?

I installed iTunes 9 yesterday. I am not familiar with the iTunes layout
and operation yet. It seems fairly complicated. I was having trouble
using iTunes 9 and saw others were having difficulty too. So I decided to
revert to a version known to work. At least until I learned how to get
around in iTunes. With a little searching, I found the following official
Apple download link for iTunes 8.2.1:
http://support.apple.com/kb/DL928

It took me 3 hours to sign up for an iTunes account, even with version 9!
What is the deal with edit boxes and combo boxes in iTunes? Is copy and
paste illegal?

Hi,
I installed the update! I do not like it. You can buy stuff from the
store, but it is kinda complicated, and I can't figure out how to
listen
to the songs. Like, to preview them.
You go to the itunes store and then in the search box, type something
like Boys like girls. If you know the name of the song like She's
got
a boyfriend now. Type in boys like girls she's got a boyfriend now.
If

you know the name of the album type the album name Love Drunk for

Then press enter. Next tab till you hear the album you want. Press
enter.

hen it will say something like View full album. Press enter then
ctrl+end

to go to the end of the screen. Press tab and you should hear it say
buy

love drunk. For example and then tab again it it will say Buy Two is
better than one featuring Taylor Swift. and I am assuming then you
press

enter on the song you wanna buy. It sould take you through the whole
album.
If I can figure out more, I will let you know. And, I was just using

The songs depend on what's popular. Most are .99 and some are 1.29 both
prices do not include your sales tax. Music videos are like 1.99 or

Yes. In fact, Apple won't charge you until you make your purchase. Even
better, why not buy some gift vouchers and use them like topping up your
phone. You scratch the back, get sighted assistance to read you the code,
store it somewhere, redeem your code in your account, type that in, and
voila! you now don't have to use your card to make purchases!

Homeor just 1 JAWS for all?

Hi,

When you purchase JAWS from Freedom Scientific, is there a need for
you to tell them if your Operating System is XP Professional or XP
Home? My laptop is running XP Professional but my new Netbook is
running XP Home. Can my JAWS be installed for the XP Home one?

Another question I would like to ask is can I install JAWS without
sighted help? As in just pop in the CD and follow the prompts?

 Thank you.

Regards,
Siew Ling

2009-09-13 Thread Waqas Chauhdry
Hi Siew,

As far as I know, the pro version of Jaws would work with the home edition
but not the other way around or at least, this was the case when I
purchased Jaws. So, if your Jaws work with XP pro you'll be just fine with
the home edition. And yes, you can install Jaws without sighted assistance,
when you will insert the CD into the machine it would ask you if you wish to
install with the help of voice prompts or something like that. Just choose
yes or press enter to use voice prompts.

Hi,
The Stream will automatically recreate the folder when you put in the card
but you'd would need some kind of file recovery software such as Recuba
which is on the Jaws site (see the links at the end of any list message) in
order to get the files back without just re-downloading from the Bard site.

Recuba, That would be something you can use if you can put the card into a
reader on the pc to recover the folder.
But if you just want to recreate the folder and put more books in it, the
Stream should do it but is obviously not behaving.

If you have a card reader, put the card into it, find the card on your pc
and open it as if were a drive.
Then from the file menu, pick new, then folder and type in:
$VRDTB

This is adjusted in the View options in Word. Press the alt key and press
the right arrow until you get to the View menu. Press the down arrow until
you find the type of display you want--Normal, Web layout, Print layout,
etc. Press enter once you find the option you want and you should be done.

Re: [JAWS-Users] web layout view

2009-09-13 Thread Tim
If you check either Normal or Print layout, the Web layout view shouldn't
display. As far as I can tell, it is not a default setting for anything. Web
layout view is meant to allow you to view how a document would look like in
a web browser. By default, when you start Word, the Normal option will be
checked. However, when reading large documents, the Print layout option is
often checked. Visually, people are saying, that is the best option. So I am
not sure if you want Print layout or Normal to be your default setting, but
if Print layout is fine that is easy--just check it. I am not sure how to
make Normal the default view option in Word.
