Re: [JAWS-Users] Blocking an individual from a list or group
You should be able to find the from header of the person you want to block. List emails may appear to come from the list, but the from header is still the person who sent it originally. I can easily see that this message came from Fred Adams You should then be able to construct a rule blocking that user. I am also approaching this from a slightly different point as I am not using a windows email client, and filtering is pretty easy for me. So, I can't tell you exactly how to construct a rule, using a windows email client. Sorry about that. -- Blue skies. Dan Rossi Senior Oracle Database Administrator Carnegie Mellon University. Not possible, it has been a problem forever. I have no clue how long, I just now tell IE not to use it. I uninstalled it a few times and whenever we get updates it comes back and it has been a problem probably since they introduced it. I can live with it, but it annoys me when toolbars thing they have a right to reside on my computer, especially those I never asked to have. [JAWS-Users] getting rid of bing
One way to fix it and it should: 1. If you haven't done so then go to Add/remove programs and uninstall anything that remotely resembles 'bing' in the listing. 2. Hit the windows key to go to the windows7 edit search field and type msconfig. then go to the services tab, make sure 'hide all Microsoft services' is unchecked and then go down the long list there to see if you can find any listing with the word 'bing' in it. uncheck them, hit apply, then Ok and then you need to restart your computer. 3. Again go to the windows search edit field by hitting the windows key and type regedit. In the results, hit enter on regedit.exe. Now no need to be scared of screwing up your registry as if all you do is what I say below you will be just fine. You don't need to be any PC expert to do this in your registry. Once in the registry after hitting enter on regedit.exe, hit control F and type in bing. then hit alt F. You are searching for any entry in the super vast registry files and folders for any entry with the words bing in it. Each time you land on a result, hit the delete button, ignore any doom/gloom msg and accept the yes button. After deleting the first entry with the word bing in it, hit F3 to jump to continue the same search and repeat the delete process if it finds another entry with 'bing' in it. Hit F3 again and so on and so forth until you have deleted every registry entry with the word 'bing' in it. good luck. I try to go to Microsoft to look for any updates and I needed to Install the ActiveX control required to view the website. I don't know why I am having difficulty in installing program and I do not know what to do about ActiveX Control. Any advice and suggestions will greatly be appreciated. Thanks. Take care. Re: [JAWS-Users] jaws 11, braille displays work upgrades and help needed
This is because they have braille set to structured mode when it sounds like what they want is line mode. If this person wants to contact me privately, I'm more than happy to help them sort it out. Can anyone help? From: Zimpher Kendall J [mailto:kendall.j.zimp...@irs.gov] Sent: Friday, July 06, 2012 6:27 AM To: brad Subject: Hey, can you post this to the jaws list for me? Thanks and have an awesome day! Recently, I have had an upgrade to my systems at my place of employment. For the longest time, we used JAWS 7 because it worked the best with our proprietary systems. Now after the upgrade, it has become necessary to use JAWS 11. JAWS 11 is the highest that our license allows us to utilize at this time. I am also using a focus 80 Braille display. My question is this. Since upgrading to 11, I am noticing that every time I go in to an application such as email or the application needed to update a customer's address and phone number there is unnecessary information all the way to the left hand side of my display. For instance while in E-mail the left side of the display will show the word "inbox." I'd like to get rid of this information. It takes up room on the display, and for the work I do it is not needed. I have tried turning off Flash messages completely, and have changed many of the verbosity settings with no success. Any suggestions to fix this problem would be appreciated. Also JAWS 11 tends to speak a lot of unnecessary information as well. Each time I move from screen to screen JAWS will say "secure connection." Is there a way to turn some of this chatter off?
