Re: [JAWS-Users] make internet explorer default browser in windows10
Hi all, Using windows 10 Jaws 16 latest version. Anyone know how to make IE default rather than Edge? Edge I believe is inaccessible. When I press alt key I get no menu options. Am I correct? I went into IE Tools options program page enter on make IE default then okay. I pinned IE to start and task bars. I have a call into MS accessibility help. I just installed the latest version of CCleaner, version 5.9 using the link on the JAWS Users programs page, and inspected each page of the installation dialog very carefully with the JAWS cursor to locate any surreptitious check boxes for also installing Google Chrome. I could not find any, so I went ahead and completed the installation of CCleaner. But to my great chagrin, Google Chrome was also installed, anyway, and set as my default browser. Just out of curiosity, I took a quick look at Chrome and found it to be just as inaccessible with JAWS 15 as it has always been. So I had to use Revo Uninstaller to remove it and then reset IE 11 as my default browser. Has anyone found a foolproof way to prevent Google Chrome from being installed along with CCleaner? Thanks. Re: [JAWS-Users] new recording on one drive
Hi Jim, Using JAWS16, I just clicked on the link in your msg, was taken to the website, clicked on the thunder storm link, and downloaded it into my downloads folder. But I'm only getting sound on 1 side of my speakers. I played it on 2 different PCs with the same results. I like the cute cat meows. The adult cat near the end of the recording is strange sounding LOL. It almost sounds like a human mimicking a cat but I can tell it's a real cat. I have a small collection of cat sounds that had weird voices or meows. I've collected them from my cats over the years. Anyway, just wanted to let you know that I had no prob accessing your shared files. Stop on this and tab down and press enter on "Set this program as default. To do that, select the text, cut or copy, go to where you want the results, press the applications key (or shift f10) go down to paste special, and select text only. You stated there were things you did; yet you did not clearly provide any useful information, (Step by Step) to get to the actual download location. If you would share those steps to me and probably a few others, would be quite greatful. By the way, when you were asking about resizing a cell in an Excel worksheet, did you try the wrap text feature? This will let you type a long line of text into a cell, and retain the cell width by continuously adding lines to the texgt in the cell. This does, however, increase the height of the cell. This feature is found on the Home tab below all of the alignment stuff.
