Re: [LU] Redfearn interview
yes good article. My view of Redfearn - poor manager , selected Luke Murphy time and time again. Picked a few youngsters , had a few lucky results however I thought we played some really poor football under Redfearn. Got sacked by Rotherham this year. Nuff said. Thanks Neil. Maybe his mate Ken Bates will give him a job somewhere ? Re: [LU] Redfearn
To be fair I have been saying for a few weeks that my mates have no faith or confidence in Redfearn and want to see the back of him. I am still , just about, in the pro camp but their worries are starting to get to me. I think with the turnover of managers already this season and the fact that Redfearn does have a genuine affinity with the club and is (supposedly) a favourite with the young players, that fans do not want to openly criticise or boo him. However as my mates are constantly pointing out even when we were on the good run we were not hammering teams and most of our wins could easily have gone the other way - think Boro and Fulham- just look at the stats and say we deserved to win. Of the 5 of us - 3 are against Redfearn, I am for him but have to admit I cannot see him being the man to take us up, and one is on the fence. Like you say he makes a lot of mistakes but lucky results and the fact that we have other 'hate' figures at the club has made it easier for him with the fans I will be there tomorrow but really cannot see anything other than them beating us and doing so easily - maybe 2-0 and they never get out of second gear or 4/5 0 if they decided to really go for it. That is not a good feeling going into our penultimate home game Having said that my son, having missed the last two seasons has already bought his ST for next season - how crazy that he has had to buy it via Zebra Finance (albeit interest free) because it is not possible to pay on a credit / debit card Dave From: To: Leeds List leedslist@gn.apc.org Sent: Monday, 13 April 2015, 17:11 Subject: [LU] Redfearn OK I will probably get slated for this, but I think Refearn is getting an easy ride and he is starting to do things that previous managers were slated for. Re: [LU] Redfearn
I genuinely feel for Redders but I have to say that the players at the club must realise that their performances/results in the run in to the end of the season are vitally important for his future at the club. The last few games have been very poor - its as if they don't care about the bloke. Then again, I agree he must share part of the blame. Steve Thompson has gone now, we need to move on. Cardiff are one of the poorest teams we have played at our place this season and they won at a canter on Saturday. Cannot believe we played 1 up front against them, they were there for the taking. I personally do not want to see Morison in a Leeds shirt again, if we need someone to stand wide on the right to use as an outlet use young Dawson or possible Montenegro. There are plenty of players in the squad who should be given a chance in the run in, Del Fabrio, Sloth, Montenegro to name but a few. Final point, it looks like Cellino is gearing up to off load us. A few week ago I was optimistic about next season, I am really not hopeful now though. Obviously no idea if it is true if he is leaving or not, but I was concerned about Redfearn's recent media blitz: talking about clauses in his contract, talking about the shit the club was in, basically saying that all the improvement was down to him and his kids. I thought this was a little up front for the position he is in (he is after all just the coach) and maybe something Cellino would not want to hear. It seems fairly obvious now Cellino is going to let Redfearn coach as caretaker for a few games to see if he thinks he's up for the job. Re: [LU] Redfearn
Just back from game and didn't hear said interview but I was angry with Redfearn today. I can only assume he's not got the authority with the players to be able to try things. I know he can't conjure new talent from thin air, but I saw nothing today that couldn't have come from a Warnock team - no pace, the only player with a degree of pace (Whyte) subbed, Poleon and Habibou rooted to the bench, no Hall, Brown on for Tonge late on (an absolutely nothing decision which failed to shore us up and preserve the point we had at that stage), and always vulnerable to opposition pace at the back. Oh, and the trademark late header conceded from close range. Very depressing today. Ross tried hard but he never looked convinced he was going to create anything. Yep Hughes got the most songs. McCormack buzzed around and looked interested, Byram and Green tried to make something happen - the rest of them were a waste of space. Brown got booked 5 seconds after coming on and Morison may have just have completed a trio of the worst ever Leeds appearances - i thought he was avoiding the penalty area by the end to make sure he didnt miss any more chances. I hope we dont need any more points - as we dont look like getting any. [LU] LU: Redfearn it is then....
*Leeds United chairman Ken Bates says the club are in no rush to appoint a new manager and caretaker boss Neil Redfearn will be in charge for the next three games. * Bates says Redfearn since taking over from Simon Grayson last week has impressed him and he will be given his opportunity to show his credentials whilst giving Leeds time to consider their options. Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Bates said, *We have decided that Neil will be in charge of the team for at least the next three games against Brighton, Coventry and Doncaster. Those three games are all very winnable. We are only two points of the play-offs. Win those three games and we are back in the play-offs, then who knows. We have decided after the impressive start Neil has made, not just with the win but his presence and his attitude around Thorp Arch that he will be given his chance to demonstrate, a longer opportunity to demonstrate his abilities whilst we consider the matter carefully.* Read more: http://www.leeds.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=272122#ixzz1lnZMevsV ___ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email leedslist-unsubscr...@gn.apc.org PETE CASS (1962 - 2011) Rest In Peace Mate

Re: [LU] LU: Redfearn it is then....
I honestly think he'll come undone against Brighton. From what I've heard and read he didn't really do anything interesting tactically last Saturday. Same bunch of cloggers with Pugh in at left back and White on the wing, dunno about Pugh at left back but I do prefer White in midfield. No room for Townsend. What I thought odd was he made no substitutions when we were 2-0 up against 9 men, surely Townsend and Rogers could have come on and run at them while they were knackered, maybe built some confidence up.If he's been coaching the young 'uns then maybe he knows of a good youngster who could move up the ranks.
