https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=68237 --- Comment #9 from The Ravin' mep...@gmail.com --- IMPORTANT NOTICE! As someone new to LibreOffice, I'm discovering some of the potential dangers of open-source. I had a request from a James to upload the file I've been having problems with, so I did, thinking I was sending it to a development team looking into this bug. However, I see now that open source bug tracking appears to be from the global community, and the address for the James I sent my file to is called spa...@gmx.net. Then I got info from a Tommy27 (ba...@quip.it) that I should download a portable version of LibO and try it. But the download attempted to install a Profiler Trojan on my system (fortunately trapped by McAfee). I'm pissed, and since I know that other people are having file save issues similar to mine, if you hear from either of these people or if you receive similar requests advice, DO NOT RESPOND! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 63551] FORMATTING: Format cell dialogue in Calc wait very long (8 second) to pop up

I've solved problem by removing texlive-fonts-{recommended,extra} and rebuilding fonts cache (sudo fc-cache -f -v). Hope it helps, since I' new with bugs, should this be marked as resolved? You are receiving this mail because: * You reported the bug. I have followed the mentioned method and no luck for me. 1. I haven't install texlive-fonts-extra but I do have texlive-fonts-recommended and I have uninstalled it. 2. No improvement. If there should be any minute improvement, say, shorten the waiting time from 8 to 6 seconds before the menu popped up. I believe this should come from updating the Libre Office to version 4.1. 3.From your suggestion, fonts might be the ultimate cause of the problem. Since I am using Chinese system while Chinese font files size are very big comparing to English one, I try uninstalled Chinese fonts (total more than 200 fonts in my system), but still no luck. Another trial that haven't made is reinstall the whole system and avoid installing any texlive-fonts and software laTex. It is only a guess and this would take time to do while I am too busy to do it now. 4. The font cache had been rebuilt every time I remove the fonts. I insert a comment in this cell. It is lost after following the steps in comment 58. I use Windows 7 with 32-bit architecture (x86). [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 68358] New: UI: Missing date for calculations
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=68358 Priority: medium Bug ID: 68358 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: UI: Missing date for calculations Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: Mac OS X (All) Reporter: p...@paulwoodsworth.ca Hardware: Other Whiteboard: BSA Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 4.0.0.3 release Component: Spreadsheet Product: LibreOffice Created attachment 84361 -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=84361action=edit Screen shot showing test cells of April 13, 1880 being skipped in series of calculated cells. Problem description: Was working with date calculations prior to 1900 and I noticed a discrepancy within the year 1880. The date April 13 is missing, thus any date calculations spanning this date are all off by one day. I do not know if other dates are missing, but April 13 1880 is definitely missing. Steps to reproduce: 1. Convert any cell to date format and enter the date of April 13, 1880. This returns a result of April 12, 1880 2. Perform a date calculation such as April 12, 1880 + 1. The result of April 14, 1880 is returned. 3. Enter a date calculation of April 24, 1880 - 365, bearing in mind 1880 is a leap year, and the result returned is April 24, 1879, instead of April 25, 1879. Current behavior: April 13, 1880 is being skipped in calculations and reverting to April 12, 1880 when entered directly. Expected behavior: April 13, 1880 should show up and be able to be used in date calculations, unless for some odd reason, the powers that be decided not to have an April 13 in the year 1880. However, my table is 536 cells long and growing, so the image ends pretty soon after I scroll. My current solution to this is to edit the image in Seashore and manually create a tiled mega-image of my original. I was thinking it'd be nice if Calc gave me the option to tile the image, or perhaps to freeze the image such that it doesn't move with the cells as I scroll.
