[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 102277] Saving a version deletes the Digital Signature
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=102277 --- Comment #7 from Ferry Toth --- I get that it is not a bug, it is a request for enhancement. To me it sounds logical that currently the file (package) is signed, while it sounds more logical that the document (stream) needs to be signed. Opening a previous version (other stream) should then just show the signature of the previous version. The current behaviour restricts the usefulness of versions and forces users to keep different files for each signed version. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115559 grofaty changed: What|Removed |Added Status|NEEDINFO|UNCONFIRMED Ever confirmed|1 |0 --- Comment #3 from grofaty --- I have checked the bug 108619, it is little bit too technical for me. But I have noticed there is some discussion about Java. It looks like LibreOffice is using Java to run macros (I didn't know this before). Maybe my problem is related to Java. Few days ago I was required to install Oracle Java for one of the application (made by government for taxes). Few days ago I did (I see from 'history' command): sudo apt update && sudo apt -y full-upgrade sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/java sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install oracle-java8-installer sudo update-java-alternatives -s java-8-oracle To test if above is cause for the problems today I did: 1. Removed Oracle Java and installed default one sudo apt purge oracle-java8-installer sudo apt -y autoremove sudo apt install default-jre sudo update-java-alternatives -s java-1.8.0-openjdk-i386 2. I removed LibreOffice profile rm -rf ~/.config/libreoffice/ 3. Started LibreOffice and checked how it is seen by ps command: ps aux | grep -i [l]ibreoffice user1 18594 0.2 0.1 35252 5184 ?Sl 10:29 0:00 /usr/lib/libreoffice/program/oosplash --writer user1 18620 29.5 3.7 276944 115324 ? Rl 10:29 0:02 /usr/lib/libreoffice/program/soffice.bin --writer --splash-pipe=5 4. Retested and the same problem. LibreOffice just closes down without any crash info or anything. It just feels like app would be minimized. Repeating ps command from step 3 and it displays nothing. It may be some Java problem or something, but no matter what, LibreOffice crash should be more informative, to catch at least some of the info, in order to easily debug the problem. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 100477] Report builder generates empty pages
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=100477 --- Comment #10 from moebius20 --- I've reached to reproduce this bug : it seems linked with french accentuated letters letters. I've made 2 tables that are the same except that I have added accentuated letters in the first records and the bug appears. Note that, in the report, these records appears at the end of the list because I've replace «o» by «ô» for example. So, to put these modified records at the top of the list created by the report, I've changed the first letter from «P» to «B» ; surprise, in this particular case, the bug disappears ! I've joined demo.odb file with 3 tables and 3 reports (name are explicit). cordialement, -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115577] New: Missing version control / checkin documents in git
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115577 Bug ID: 115577 Summary: Missing version control / checkin documents in git Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: filters and storage Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: had...@danisch.de Hi, I'm currently having some trouble with an impress presentation that is updated quite often and around 30MB of size (contains pics and videos), and keeping older versions of the file in a directory occupies around 700MB. A good solution would be to just check the documents into a git repository, which is pretty much state of the art. Unfortunately, this does not effectively work with document files (as zip), and not even with the flat xml versions of files. I found some discussion in a libreoffice user forum, where someone proposed to use libgit2 with libreoffice to store a document and it's parts into a git repository or just a directory structure, instead of a zip file structure, and the given answer was, that this will not be done since this is not an Open Document defined standard. On the other hand, Oasis does not seem to make any effort to make this part of a standard. However, that current situation is unpleasant, and I'd like to propose to implement this (maybe call it 'experimental'), it would be really useful. Just store things in a git repository as you would in a zip file, and allow to maintain this structure with git. regards -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
