Every time I've encountered someone who needed to keep using Mail.app for "one account at work" where they grumble about the company IT department, the explanation is an Exchange server with IMAP disabled, intentionally. This is an actual thing people do... On the bright side, in-house Exchange is dying out and I've never stumbled across any way to disable IMAP in the Office365 "Exchange" admin interface. ___ mailmate mailing list mailmate@lists.freron.com https://lists.freron.com/listinfo/mailmate

I guess i re-install MailMate, maybe the problem is getting fixed by that. Or can I delete some preferences in ~/Library (or somewhere else) to get the original state? I don't think that'll make a difference and in any case I'd like to figure out what triggers it. Besides consistency, seeing that it is the same confirms that nothing sinister is hidden underneath. I had already noted that I should probably change it although my motivation was a bit different. I considered it a security issue, because clever use of HTML/CSS might hide a link in a way which would make MailMate mis-interpret the link displayed. I've changed it in the latest test release (1.9.5r5268). -- Benny ___ mailmate mailing list mailmate@lists.freron.com https://lists.freron.com/listinfo/mailmate

Re: [MlMt] New icons: pick?
On 20 Sep 2016, at 00.25, Pedro Lobo wrote: This should be as easy as: 1. Right click (ctrl+click) MailMate icon and choose Get Info; 2. Drag the old Icon onto the new icon in the info panel (top left). You’ll have to do this every time you update though. And the way this works underneath, it makes an invisible file called 'Icon' at the top level of the application package. So you could always do this manually once, then set up a script (or similar) to copy that same 'Icon' file back in there regularly/after MailMate updates. (With some applications, you can be lucky and find that updates only replace the contents of the application package, rather than the whole thing -- and that way, your custom icon survives across updates with no further intervention on your part. I've been pleasantly surprised to find this is the case for iTunes, for many versions. :-)) David ___ mailmate mailing list mailmate@lists.freron.com https://lists.freron.com/listinfo/mailmate
