Unfortunately there are now several carb adjustment screw heads on outdoor

last I knew.

People started slotting the screws with dremel cutoff wheels, so the carb
makers started recessing the screws in tunnels in the carb body so you had to
slot the carb body too. It's as if they want your two stroke engine to run lean

Park Ranger in the employ of BLM was moving to a new job assignment, it was
supposedly his 'back up duty weapon', so I'm not sure if it was his or BLM's,
and he parked in SF with the Sig in a backpack under the front seat of his
truck.

I highly suspect the 7 time felon who 'found the gun in a bag under a bench'
found it in a bag under a bench seat in a locked truck that he had just broken
into.

There was claimed to be physical evidence that a shot ricocheted, not
necessarily the one that hit her. He was said to have claimed that he was
shooting at a protected animal and hit her by accident, then he changed his
story and claimed that the guy just 'went off by accident' and he wasn't
shooting it at all.

Given all that we've seen in the news since the killing, one has to believe
that the prosecution really screwed up if 12 jurors unanimously agreed that the
only crime which was proven beyond reasonable doubt was that he was a felon in
possession of a firearm. And they couldn't have convicted him of that if they
bought the story that he was in the act of picking up a stray package when it
went BOOM.

[MBZ] Justus in "merka

I had though of making a post about how "merka has three tiers of
justus. But as I thought about it, I realized there are WAY MORE than
THREE tiers. If we were to make a flow chart, it would cover a good
sized wall.

Here are a few of the levels:

1. Bill Clinton (If you are guilty, make a joke (preferably dirty).
That is the end of it.

2. CCF: Do what you want, the media and crooked judges will cover for you
3. D party: Do what you want, the FBI, the media and crooked judges
will cover for you

23. If you are an illegal, Repeat, "no Ingles" over and over. They
will let you go. You can get by with murder.

And at the bottom, there is you and me: If you are accused of
something, you'd better plead guilty and do the time/pay the price.
Otherwise, we'll get your family, break you and them and in the end,
you will die.

cream

that separated to the top into a mason jar, and then shaking it for about
ten or fifteen minutes. This was before it started to sour, really a
science experiment for us chilluns. The shaking would cause the fat in the
cream to clump together, and the clump would get bigger and bigger until
you had a nice lump of "butter" that was white and not very tasty

Interesting posit. Just where did you find this tidbit of fact. Since the
Defense Lawyer made the claim "the gun had a hair trigger and he didn't
intend to shoot her", but I find no information about a ricochet shot as
being the killing wound.
Since the weapon was stolen from a police car, the likely owner was a
policeman, No LEO's carry weapons with "hair triggers" because if there is
a "shots fired" incident, the first claim by opposing lawyer representing
the deceased criminal would be the cop used a weapon "reworked" to
establish the cop is a "premeditated killer"... so NO police department

effect that he had found the gun there wrapped in a rag under a bench or

Sort of interesting that all of this discussion about butter is titled
"heart problems"

Anyone ever use a separator? I neve saw it used, but my grandparents had
one bolted to the floor in the pantry in the big old house on the farm.
A cast iron beast about 4 or more feet tall. Red with some chrome parts.
A handle that one turned but that is about all that I remember. That
would be better than 55 years ago.
I think other relatives on farms had them too but the one I most
remember was at my maternal grandparents' house.

Real buttermilk is to butter what whey is to cheese. It is the
leftovers after the butterfat is removed.

What is sold in the store as buttermilk? Not that!I think it is
acidified, cultured, something.

About ten years ago, a popular local farmer got splattered by a milk tanker
while towing a load of grain to the elevator with a tractor. Trucker ran right
through him from behind, northbound on a sunny day, shiny new slow moving
vehicle sign on the back of the wagon. Pieces of tractor, wagon and Duane
everywhere. Nobody really knows what happened, I suspect cell phone texting or
use of the trucking company's navigation/dispatching gizmo (what truckers call
a Qualcomm).

If only the state would allow raw milk - we would definitely be a
customer.  15-years ago we enjoyed raw-milk cheddar delivered from
North Farm COOP.

While living east of CSpgs '85-'90 we bought raw milk from Dale
Henderson, an old bachelor multi-wealth based on land near the new
military base out there.  He milked using a one leg stool and
overnight in fridge it separated the best cream anywhere.  Yes, some
aroma but real cream!

The other milk is goat milk.  While in coledg during a visit to my
uncle near Buffalo, MN we rank fresh goat milk.  Return to coledg -
yes, pasteurized homogenized milk was like water.

As far as the milk collection truck and gravel spray - kudos to yer
dad taking responsibility against paint chips.  More responsibility is
needed in all arenas of culture today.

The version I learned in grade school was "How does a farmer shake your
hand?" and then you grab the person's hand only on the pinky with your left
hand and on the ring finger with your right hand, and alternate pulling on
each digit like you were milking an udder. I need to teach that to my
daughter? None of the kids in her school would get it I'll bet.

Once on a plane from DCA-BOS coming back home I sat next to this woman
who was a bit older than me, she was not unattractive and pretty smart,
turned out she was a lawyer for the dairy industry and worked from home
or something, had been in DC for hearings or lobbying or something.
this was before being married. she told me some funny jokes about the
dairy industry, the only one I remember was she says give me your hand,
and then she shook it but was squeezing it like milking a cow, with a
(in retrospect) somewhat lascivious grin.  She lived not far from me,
and gave me her card and told me to call her sometime.  I never did for
some reasons I don't remember now, but I occasionally thought about that
encounter and sorta wish I had called her.  Purely to learn more about
the dairy industry of course...

inferior, the OE were cast, and the stamped impellers wouldn't move enough

Re: [MBZ] Heart peoblems

2017-12-01 Thread Meade Dillon via Mercedes
I grew up next to a dairy farm (shared property lines, let the cows graze
in our field and eat the extra apples from our orchard) and enjoyed raw
milk from childhood. Store-bought milk tastes like water to me, very thin,
but I still prefer that over soy or almond "milk". I suspect that most
people would gag if offered raw milk from a cow, full of cream, with a very
different smell prior to homogenizing. However, our family doc back then
approved, said the much larger fat molecules were probably harder to digest
so Mom shouldn't worry about that. I don't know if I agree with that
idea. I remember when I'd have a friend from town over for dinner, I'd
have to warn them that they may prefer water to milk if they weren't used
to fresh milk.

Once when I was in high school, I took a day job for a (different) neighbor
for one very long day, bailing hay and then loading it into their hay
loft. At sunset when the work was done for the day, we all washed up with
a garden hose and then were served a huge glass of milk from their milk
cows, straight out of the milk house vat. Then they fed me dinner (meat
and potatoes and more milk) and then they paid me and sent me on my way. I
was so physically tired and so full of food that I was worried I would fall
asleep while driving home ('63 Beetle, still six volt system so dim
headlights on dark county roads encouraged slow driving).

Another fond memory is the milk collection truck. He usually visited our
neighbor every day, despite snow or power outages or anything. That guy
drove that big truck fast and hard on gravel roads all over the place and I
don't think I every remember him getting stuck or breaking down. My dad
wasn't too happy with the guy, he wouldn't slow down a bit if you met him
on a gravel road, he expected you to make room and would frequently be
spraying gravel all over the place, so if you had a "nice" car you quickly
learned to get well out of his way. I remember my dad sometimes going well
off the road into the ditch and stopping the car to let him go by, the
spraying gravel was hell on paint and windows, and then if it was dry you
would be completely enveloped in a cloud of thick dust.

Dairy farmers worked HARD back then. I haven't visited a real farm in a
long time, probably not too different now.
