A couple of pesos from yesterday
I was feeling a bit out of sorts yesterday so I went for a drive. I ended up near the coast just a little before sunset so I kicked around a bit with the camera, because, well, it was sunset and I was at the Ocean. I saw this plaque Safety Follows Wisdom, from 1931, and for some reason it made me think of Frank, so I took this picture of it. I hope he likes it: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ellarsee/11166593015/in/set-72157638270269135 Here's one of some tidepools, and if you look closely I think that that is a squadron of pelicans in the background: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ellarsee/11166601475/in/set-72157638270269135 -- Larry Colen l...@red4est.com http://red4est.com/lrc -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.

impulse enablement
So I went into Henry's in Halifax today to pick up some Ilfosol 3 that I had ordered and spotted a used DA* 16-50/2.8 on display. This store does not usually sell used lenses, but there it was, for $749.00. I looked at it and played with it and told them I wasn't interested. At that point they asked me what selling price would make me interested? Anyway, we started dickering and a short time later I walked out with the lens, having paid them $660 for it. It seems to be in fine condition. The only problem I can spot is that the lens hood is loose in its bayonet, but I probably won't be using that, so I don't care. It comes with a 90 day warranty, so I'm happy. They must provide receipts to prove they went to the appropriate stores. The winner is the one who finishes first; failure to bring the proper foodstuff and receipts to the finish line results in disqualification. After the race all the foodstuffs were brought to a local fire hall for the firefighters' annual holiday food drive for the local food banks.
