Fonts.bin was tough to find...so I could delete it to cure the overlap issue with the latest versions of SDT and SlimServer. I hope this helps some of you... On my Core Duo Mac Mini running OSX V10.5.4 I found the file here: Users->"UserName"->Library->Caches->Slimserver->Fonts.bin As others have reported here, deleting this fonts.bin file cures the text/ icons overlap issue with SDT. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SuperDateTime - Current Date/Temperature and/or Baseball Screensaver
Been using SuperDateTime for so long I can't remember which version it was when I started. I thought I'd try the latest version on my squeezebox v1 which I've had for nearly 5 years now, but now it won't run. This is what shows in the server.log: Slim::Buttons::Common::pushMode (2007) Error: Couldn't push into new mode: [OFF.superdatetime] !: Undefined subroutine &Slim::Display::Graphics::setCustomChar called at /usr/share/squeezecenter/Plugins/SuperDateTime/Plugin.pm line 4535. This is on ubuntu 8.04, Squeezecenter 7.2 and SuperDateTime v5.6.2. The same error appears using the Winders version of Squeezecenter. Apparently the setCustomChar doesn't work in squeezebox v1. I know I'm missing out on a lot of things, since the Squeezenetwork doesn't work on this player either, but if it ain't broke, don't fix it. It plays my mp3s fine through my whole house audio system. Can I disable the setCustomChar or possibly revert to a previous version that doesn't use this method? It did work prior to downloading the latest plugin, but I don't remember the previous one. -- Phydeaux Phydeaux's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=19829 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=14327 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] LazySearch 3.2 not working with SC 7.2 (?)
That /usually/ indicates that the plugin has failed to load, or is not installed correctly. Could you turn on plugin debug logging with the "server.plugins" and "plugin.lazysearch2" (if the latter exists - it may not if the plugin isn't being properly found). You can find those settings on the "Server Settings->Advanced->Loggin" screen. Make sure you click the box at the top to save the settings, then restart SqueezeCenter. You might then find some clues in the SqueezeCenter log file. Also, make sure you've installed it properly - you should have paths like the following (on Linux): /usr/local/squeezecenter/server/Plugins/LazySearch2 |-- HTML | `-- EN | `-- plugins | `-- LazySearch2 | `-- settings | |-- basic.html | `-- logo.jpg |-- INSTALL |-- LICENSE |-- Plugin.pm |-- Settings.pm |-- install.xml `-- strings.txt Finally - check permissions on those files. They should all be readable by whatever user SqueezeCenter is running as. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] AlienBBC not working --- strange persistent problem
There is an mplayer option "bandwidth" being used which means "Listen Again" streams take 2-3 secs to start rather than 15 secs. You could save a copy of the custom-convert.conf file ( it is in the Plugins/Alien directory) and then edit the file to remove the "--bandwidth 1000" from the lines in the file. Restart SC and see if problem is stil there. Be patient as streams will now take about 15 secs to start. I am not convinced the "bandwidth" option is the problem but it is worth a try. -- bpa bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=52295 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Dynamic Playlists don't work too well with synchronised players
In fact, I cancelled the synchronisation, and switched between players and this still caused the playlist to change. I think it's because I left the left-hand browse panel on the Dynamic Playlist page, so when it refreshes the frames on the page, it fires off a new dynamic playlist. If I navigate to the home page and then switch players in the Web UI, it doesn't cause the playlist to change. [SlimDevices: Plugins] AlienBBC not working --- strange persistent problem
Rather frustratingly, I've been unable to get AlienBBC to work for the past 3 months, and I've been unable to find the problem. I've searched the forums, and I've done a number of clean reinstalls, most recently with Slimserver 7.2 and AlienBBC v2.01 Beta1, but no joy. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] MultiLibrary and CustomBrowser configuration help
I'm using the official 7.2 release. More research shows that MultiLibrary does not always display an active library. Selecting the full dependent library and hitting refresh seems to fix the problem temporarily but after a while no library is active. I tried new and full rescan of music library, and at least that is not what is causing the problem. I guess some kind of library is active since players other than the kids works fine displaying the correct content. -- markstrom markstrom's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17691 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=52139 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Alien BBC hicupping
Triode's plug-in is working fine - but the BBC XML is not. There are a lot of programs still listed in the XML without any associated RealAudio - I think it started going horribly wrong again during the afternoon of 2nd September - i.e. well after James Cridland's post saying that all is well. My guess is that it is a problem further back in the chain at BBC - i.e. the XML is being correctly generated for the audio data it can find but a stack of shows have no RealAudio files (or information about the files) being put in the right place for their XML generator to find. A few of us have been trying to get some feedback from BBC but without much joy so far. -- Paul Webster Paul Webster http://www.lastfm.com/user/BondJamesBond Paul Webster's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=105 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=52022 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] MultiLibrary and CustomBrowser configuration help
If you are using a 7.2 nightly or 7.3 nightly release you currently need to enable UPnP in "SqueezeCenter Settings/Advanced/Network". Could this be the problem ? If you are using the official 7.2 release this is probably not the problem. (A new Custom Browse version which fixes this UPnP problem will be released in a few days or so). [SlimDevices: Plugins] MultiLibrary and CustomBrowser configuration help
I did this configuration before I read the Setup kids room SqueezeBox Guide at http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/Setup_kids_room_SqueezeBox I have some players most distinguished being my music vs. kids music and audiobooks, located in different directories. Using MultiLibrary I set up three different libraries using only "included directory" and one dependent library including the other three libraries. I set the dependent library to the active one. Next using CustomBrowse made some menus using "Library" and "exclude from players". Then I enabled menus in CustomBrowse and finally displaying them in the Players>Menus settings. Everything worked swell and I ended up with my players using a normal structure (New artists, New albums, Artist) not including the kids stuff. The kids player got the simples possible menu Audiobooks>Album_name and Music>Artists_name. This worked fine for a few days and now suddenly the menus disappears from the kids SqueezeBox, I reconfigured the SqueezeCenter settings but the menus were no longer available in "Inactive menu items" It seems that Refresh libraries sometimes bring back the menus. Is it a hardware player or SoftSqueeze ? -- erland Erland Isaksson 'My homepage' (http://erland.isaksson.info) 'My download page' (http://erland.isaksson.info/download) (Developer of 'TrackStat, SQLPlayList, DynamicPlayList, Custom Browse, Custom Scan, Custom Skip, Multi Library and Database Query plugins' (http://wiki.erland.isaksson.info/index.php/Category:SlimServer)) erland's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3124 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=52136 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
[SlimDevices: Plugins] Dynamic Playlist not working
I can't play any dynamic playlists. There's no errors in the log (set at error level). I first noticed this when my dynamic playlist alarm fired and the player UI reported "Now Playing (Connecting...)". I've tried playing simple dynamic playlists, such as "Random Songs" from the web UI, but nothing plays. ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
