Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Beta version of SvrPowerControl
It is a great plugin, and gharris has given a lot of help and responded to suggestions for changes. Many thanks. It was trickier than many plugins to install, but still acceptable with some thought by the user and the author's (and others') devoted response to requests for help. The thread is immensely long, which can make searching for information difficult. As one example, I now find ReallyPreventStandby fulfils my needs, and I don't use SvrPowerControl itself any more, although it had been changed at my request. I'm not sure how easy it currently is for a person to find out about ReallyPreventStandby, I learnt about it because I read this thread regulrly. Maybe I should start a separate thread about ReallyPreventStandby, just to guide others to it. I would hate it if an update to SqueezeboxServer broke these plugins. -- danco danco's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=210 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=48521 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

There is currently a bug in the beta which mess up the statistics handled by SBS and I'm not sure how it's going to be corrected, hopefully it will be corrected so it will just work but in the worst case you might have to restore an old backup file. This is the related bug report: http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=17456 Just for information, this has been fixed in the latest 7.6.1 and is part of release candidate 3 and will be part of the official release. I'd still recommend keeping an old TrackStat backup file until we have seen if there are any more 7.6 issues left which might affect TrackStat but the above doesn't require any further actions besides the previously posted upgrade procedure if you upgrade to 7.6.1 from a 7.5 release. -- erland Erland Isaksson ('My homepage' (http://erland.isaksson.info)) (Developer of 'many plugins/applets' (http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/User:Erland). Seeing as how they appear to have little interest in seeking an actual solution with Sirius, maybe they won't care. Download the following file: http://notsosirius-squeezecenter.googlecode.com/files/ProtocolHandler.pm This file is a modified version of the one Logitech provides with the Squeezebox Server. The next step varies depending upon your platform and installation directory. What you want to do is find the file in your Squeezebox installation that lives in a path like Plugin/Sirius/ProtocolHandler.pm and rename it to something else. Then put the file you just downloaded in its place. Next restart the server and enjoy. This may or may not break something I haven't discovered yet, but it does resolve the Unauthorized problem that has plagued so many people. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Sirius :stream stopped..you are no longer ...
Now the 40's station on XM/Sirius is cutting out after 10 - 15 min unlike yesterday. This problem makes Sirius/XM just about worthless for me. I can listen to anything other Sirius/XM on the SB Boom without this problem. I guess thats what I have to do from now on unless they actually fix this problem. I am not hopeful. -- Lennyd Lennyd's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=33418 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=89336 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] WD MyBook Live NAS
Thank you Gabbel for your suggestions. WinSCP would seem very a attractive option if it enabled me to install Squeezebox Server on the NAS itself and run it from there. Hi ply398, Vortexbox sounds interesting but would it run on the My Book Live NAS without a PC being switched-on and either work with or replace Squeezebox Server? Has an update been released for SBS 7.6? Soon... It's largely working for me now, but somethings broken with storing remote tracks (i.e. radio streams). ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] WD MyBook Live NAS
Few people already posted that Vortexbox only run on x86 based processor. The MBL has ARM processor so it will not work. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
I would like a few people to try a beta version of version 2.0.0 of this plugin. The new version has significant internal changes to make better use of the new features of 7.6 it also adds several new features: - new context menus specific to the spotify plugin - spotify playlist editing (via the context menu ability to add tracks or all tracks in an album to a an existing playlist or create a new playlist with them) - local spotify library ability to store artists/albums/tracks in a local library menu which allows bookmarking and browsing of favourite entries this is an experiment, interested in feedback on it - spotify inbox added playlist menu - browse playlists of friends from with the playlist menu those people marked as people in the PC spotify application (you need to add friends on the PC app as there is no api to do this) - simplified search menu which allows searching for any tracks/albums/artists or pasting in spotify uris into a single search menu item The new version should work with 7.6 and 7.5 releases of squeezebox server. As these changes are quite significant I would like a few users to try out the beta version and report issues here before making it the default release. To do so, please add by test repository (below) to your plugin repositories, this should add version 2.0.0beta1 to the available plugins and allow you to automatically update to if if you have the previous version installed. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
First of all I like to thank Triode for this fantastic plugin, which I have used for a long time on my two Squeezebox Classic. Two weeks ago I bought a Squeezebox Touch and had my first chance to compare this plugin with Logitechs own plugin for Spotify. Both plugins worked very well, I used standard remote as well as iPeng in a iPhone 4. In my experience Triodes plugin was faster to work with, but I didn't check with a stop watch. Yesterday night I updated to Spotify (v2.0.0beta1) and was happy to see the settings for volume normaliztion etc. I don't know if this was new now, or if I missed it earlier. Since I used the plugins two weeks ago I have also updated to Squeezebox server 7.6.0-r32854, my Classic is runnig on 137 and the Touch 7.6.0-r9458, my iPhone 4 has iPeng 1.3.5. After the updates yesterday I first tried to use Logitechs plugin from the screen and the remote, it didn't work at all! I got a message that it was a problem and it couldn't play that type of file. Same error with all songs I tried. Then i tried to use iPeng and then I could play songs from all playlist except Starred tracks (Inbox is not availble in this plugin). Now I changed to Triodes plugin and now I could play from the screen, the remote and iPend, but not from the playlists Starred tracks an Inbox. Last time I tried I know that these playlists worked as well. So, this is the errors I've found so far, I hope it help to know. Again thanks for a great plugin! when i run this app i get a window that asks you select a trackstat history file to export. all the choices (there's probably 100) are grayed out and cannot be selected. any thoughts on why this might be the case? -- netchord -- 4 TB Drobo--FW 800--mac mini--Ethernet Transporter-- Wireworld Eclipse 6 coax--Meridian G61 G61-- Nordost Red Dawn--Primare 30.3 Primare--Ocos--Vienna Acoustics Beethoven/Maestro netchord's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21002 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=83307 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

It is annoying and frustrating. Just when I think it might be fixed I get that annoying not authorized message even though as a premium subscriber I should be authorized! It would be nice also if someone could give a progress report. It does not seem like it would be a difficult fix in that previously it was working fine.
