Shame not to know what's playing! Yes that is expected. Apparently it's not possible to include metadata with FLAC streams, but as I noted they're going to provide an API that custom apps can use to grab that info. Given the problems we're experiencing with the LMS plugin, maybe it's time to start over with these resources. Easy for me to say, of course. :-) Sorry Michael. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Squeezelite-X
Just uploaded Version 2.2.8 Changes: - Recognizes Windows 10 Version 1903, which shows up in application log. - Some minor tweaks here and there for improved reliability. - Removed a built-in font I was no longer using. - In default skin, never show mini-browser and main browser at the same time. If using mini-browser, clicking on tray icon will restore the mini-browser instead of the main browser. - Fixed fine alignment of Windows buttons (Close, Min, Max) in certain high dpi situations. - R Greg Dawson Squeezelite-X rgdawson's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=65236 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108550 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ANNOUNCE: AirPlay Bridge = integrate AirPlay devices with LMS (squeeze2raop)
After installing an update to the plugin this morning, I can no longer get the bridge to work. LMS is running on a X86_64 Linux system. I have two Airplay speakers and an AudioCast puck using the bridge. Normally they are synchronized with five other players, all Squeezelite instances, three of them part of PiCorePlayer installations. I first noticed that something was wrong when music playing on the synchronized network would pause frequently, then resume playing after a few seconds. Investigating further, I found that the Airplay devices were silent. Removing them from the synchronized group solved the problem with unwanted pauses. But the Airplay devices are still silent, although LMS shows that they are playing. I've muddled around, restarting LMS, restarting the plugin, switching to the static-linked binary. I do not know how to proceed in finding the cause of the problem. Any guidance would be appreciated! What logging options should I start with? Hi blithering_idiot, If you're interested and willing to try, you can try the NOMYSB package from Sourceforge. In this package the mysqueezebox.com integration is disabled. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
Main changes: - Limit strings in landscape now-playing to 80 characters. - Fix detection of search fields in comand responses. - For non-server side categories, use "readdirectory" command to list music folders. This is *much* faster, but does not provide meta-data, and file types are manually filtered based upon extension. - Show ratings in queue - desktop layout only. - Remove long-press on back button to go home, as this seems to be causing conflicts with selecting multiple items and playing. - Re-add option to control whether to sort favourites. cpd73's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66686 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Music & Artist Information plugin
Michael: I'm really liking the 'Text files from music folder' feature. Is that new, or have I just noticed it? Either way, thanks for this. It's been there for a while. Back when LMS supported tags imbedded in lyrics tags, this served me well. Clicking on the song lyrics would open the bio.html page in such a way that the css was correctly rendered. But some time ago, the lyrics rendering in the webUI stopped supporting tags. I had to stop rendering HTML (or any content from external sources) for security reasons: somebody could inject JavaScript to be executed on your computer in metadata, or web pages. The MAI 'Text files from music folder' feature works nearly as well, with the bio.html page loading in a separate browser window. Unfortunately for me, though, the css file at "../../music.css" isn't available and the html renders with default formatting. Yeah, that's an unfortunate side-effect. As I'm using custom URLs to render the local files, links likely won't work any more. The URL of the webpage that pops up when I use Text files from music folder->bio.html is: http://squeezenas-mini:9000/mai/localfile/bbfa6a6aca9ab3ea6b5c70cb01bb1fed/bio.html Is there any place that I can create a link so that music.css would be available from that /localfile/ virtual folder? I'd rather not have to edit 1000 bio.html pages if I don't have to. Could you please send me a bunch of sample files (html & CSS and whatever else)? When I created these file handlers it was mostly about PDF or text files. HTML is a different beast with its dependencies on other files (CSS or images or scripts), unfortunately... Maybe I could go all the way of "embedding" the linked resources into the file served by LMS... -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Synology 7.9.2 packages
I think lms halts then reloads because if you refresh web browser lms main screen doesn't load up. Plus the music stops playing. Then takes minutes to restart lms. Just for a test I disconnected my computer from any network. Then fired up LMS. I would get all the warnings you've seen in your log file. Then I fired up the Settings/Plugins. Took LMS about a minute to recover, but the page would eventually load, giving me some more error message at the top about "invalid repositories". But it would definitely not crash. So please give it some slack. Don't restart it, but leave it alone for a minute or two when trying to bring up the plugin settings. -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
