I ran into difficulties that I can't fully remember right now on the switching servers. I'll explore that back in the coming weeks and I'll see also if I can set the "server" parameter to be different to each player - that's doable, but a bit of careful refactoring of some code as this is today globally shared by all players. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] AirPlay bridge: use airplay devices from LMS (experimental)
It's been my experience too that 2 bridge plugins installed on 2 LMS on the network will discover the same devices, and confusion ensues. You could disable some players in each running plugin, to dedicate LMS1 to players near the Gym, and LMS2 to players near the Lobby. That should fix the random location at startup. I don't think connecting a player to another LMS server can work. But changing the enabled/disabled state on a device in the plugins should have the same effect, albeit slower. 3 SB 3 Libratone Loop, Zipp Mini iPeng (iPhone + iPad) LMS 7.9 (linux) with plugins: CD Player, WaveInput, Triode's BBC iPlayer by bpa IRBlaster by Gwendesign (Felix) Server Power Control by Gordon Harris Smart Mix, Music Walk With Me, What Was That Tune? by Michael Herger PowerSave by Jason Holtzapple Song Info, Song Lyrics by Erland Isaksson AirPlay Bridge by philippe_44 WeatherTime by Martin Rehfeld Auto Dim Display, SaverSwitcher, ContextMenu by Peter Watkins. epoch1970's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=16711 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105114 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] AirPlay bridge: use airplay devices from LMS (experimental)
from looking at the log, it looks like the bridge tries the switch server command, but it puts the ip address that it's already connected to instead of the ip address it's supposed to connect to. crewxp's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=39943 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105114 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] AirPlay bridge: use airplay devices from LMS (experimental)
I just found out about this awesome plugin a few weeks ago and just recently got everything up! But my airplay bridge players *can't seem to connect to the right servers*. Normal players switch servers just fine, but my bridged ones start up stuck on what seems like a random server. Changing it from an android app or the web interface doesn't change anything. To get the player switched to a different server, I have to power off the squeeze server it's connected to until it finally connects to the right one. Have you any ideas as to what could be causing this? I have attached the bridge log below, the squeeze log shows no errors if I click on log in the information tab. Example: 192.168.100.149 [LMS SERVER 1] [HOSTS BRIDGED AV-GYM & AV-STUDIO] 192.168.100.152 [LMS SERVER 2] [HOSTS BRIDGED AV-LOBBY] 192.168.100.153 [LMS SERVER 3] 192.168.100.172 [LMS SERVER 4] When they all start up (at the same time), the AV-GYM, LOBBY, or STUDIO connects the virtual bridge player to a random LMS SERVER X. Clicking change player to [designated server i click] asks me if im sure, then doesn't do anything; no matter how many times I try or if I try my app I use. I have to power down the LMS SERVER the virtual player is connected to in order to get it to connect to a different one. -Is there a way I can fix this? Ideally, I would love to be able to switch the bridged player's server. -If not, is there a way I can manually specify which LMS SERVER to connect the bridge to? *THANK YOU! If so you -could- run an instance of Vortexbox in a VM and point it at your QNAP files or you could run a Windows VM with LMS and point it at the QNAP for that matter. LMS on QNAP can be very fiddly. Meaning - it plays :o That's a great step forward. Does this mean that when running on windows it no longer need Lame (?), or is it because I just happened to have Lame on windows, or because Lame is an integral part of the WIndows platform?? If you can send me the log since the start of the plugin, I think we'd see that the mp3 decoder is not loaded probably because it is not installed on your QNAP platform Code: Format supported: AirPlay requires tracks to be 44.1kHz/16 bits, sq2r will do the necessary decoding. It supports mp3,flac,aac,aif,pcm as well as resampling and 24 bits truncating. Such decoding requires a fair amount of CPU. You need to have the corresponding libraries installed. For windows, the DLL are provided in the package, for Linux you need to make sure that the .so are installed. (libFLAC.so.8, libmad.so.0 and/or libmpg123.so.0, libfaad.so.2). The resampler is built-in with the application, no need of shared librairies. For OSX, as such libraries seems to be difficult to find, everything is built-in. Hi Philippe, I tried AirPlay Bridge today, and it reports correctly that it has found my AppleTV (2nd gen). When I try to play, a black box with now playing comes up on the TV, but no sound. Trying to start and stop the playback from LMS doesn't work. The only way to stop playback is to click the 'off' button for that player in LMS. I've just tried shairtunes2 with an VM and it is awesome too. It is really a pity that shairtunes2 don't work on Windows ! It would be easier if shairtunes2 was compatible with Windows (Now I have de VMware player always running on my computer...) Quickly I thought of a test : "And if I combine LMS-to-UPnP and shairtunes2 ?" Believe it or not it work ! LMS-to-UPnP transforms each DLNA device into a squeezebox player and shairtunes2 transforms each squeezebox player into airplay player. All taht with about one second of delay only ! You have created a way to transform any DLNA device into airplay receiver ! Just for that it is interesting to have squeezebox server in his house ! Hello, Thanks for these excellent plugins ! What a good surprise to find these news in the plugin manager ! I use LMS-to-Raop and LMS-to-UPnP , this is awesome ! I've got one big question : now the airplay technology and bridges has no secret for you, are you going to make a plugin to transform a squeezebox into an airplay player ? I've done a plugin to do it ('see here' (http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?100048-Announce-Airplay-on-squeezebox-%28for-Windows%29)) but it is much a trick than a real plugin. I have to see if this is not a problem due to 32 bits vs 64 bits compilation. I know in what part of the code the problem happens and this is due to a 32 bits wrap, but I'm not 100% sure of a few things about that overflow and how it is handled on all CPUs LMS 7.7.5 - 5xRadio, 3xBoom, 4xDuet, 1xTouch, 1 SB2. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] AirPlay bridge: use airplay devices from LMS (experimental)
The good news: without volume set to minus 1, players perform as they should The bad news: at -1, none of my players output any audio (Airport Express, ATV4, Libratone zipp mini or Loop mk2) But maybe this is a blessing in disguise. The Libratone app allows me to control the Zipp mini directly (not the Loop). In the app I can see volume is reported at 100% at startup (I can dial it back with the app). 100% would be indeed ok, in some cases, for boxes that must have an amp in tow (AE, ATV). But it is kind of dangerous for airplay speakers... I've set log to debug but saw nothing out of the ordinary. I'll look at LMS players log and update this post if I find anything. I am beginning to have second thoughts about this request... Especially when the ultimate goal is, for me, to have all-round bidirectional control (volume, playback and all.) Here are 2 experiences that work fine for me, perhaps you'll see how to transpose that. 1) My Loop is hooked to an SB3: - Line-in and Airplay have their independent attenuation setting - Airplay has precedence over line-in on the device - When airplay streaming, the volume button on the target and the volume slider on the iPad are linked - When line-in is used, the volume button acts as the master on line-in - The SB3 is set to use digital volume control because the Loop doesn't have any remote, and I love the SB IR remote. (I have the master set to about 80%) Scenario: I listen to my SB3, at some volume. Then I hijack the target to send audio from a video I watch on the iPad, and usually I have to increase volume. Then I shutdown the airplay target, and music resumes at the prior level. 2) My ATV is hooked to an AV amp. I have set the device to fixed audio output, and control volume with my amp's IR control. I don't need to mess about with 2 remotes to control volume during playback. 4 SB 3 Libratone Zipp Mini iPeng (iPhone + iPad) Squeezebox Server 7.9 (linux) with plugins: CD Player, WaveInput, Triode's BBC iPlayer by bpa IRBlaster by Gwendesign (Felix) Server Power Control by Gordon Harris Smart Mix, Music Walk With Me, What Was That Tune? by Michael Herger PowerSave by Jason Holtzapple Song Info, Song Lyrics by Erland Isaksson AirPlay Bridge by philippe_44 WeatherTime by Martin Rehfeld Auto Dim Display, SaverSwitcher, ContextMenu by Peter Watkins. epoch1970's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=16711 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105114 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

You can try 2 things: when it is playing and one it is idle. Alternatively, you can just launch it w/o parameters and type 'exit' on its command line (or ^C) to stop it LMS 7.7.5 - 5xRadio, 3xBoom, 4xDuet, 1xTouch, 1 SB2. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] AirPlay bridge: use airplay devices from LMS (experimental)
So I've been happily running 0.1.0.3-dev-1 for days now. My setup consists of an Airplay Libratone Zipp Mini synced with a wired SB3 (connected via line-in to a libratone loop, FWIW), LMS runs on a 64 bit VM. No custom options in the conf file. Over the days I've noticed 2 issues happening more or less frequently. I have no log to back up my claims, so this is just for general info/confirmation: 1 - Airplay player can start silent. I'm not sure, but I think the software player is muted, and vol up or down commands via LMS allow the player to produce sound as it should. This only happens once, after sync group creation I think. (I used to think I needed to skip one song to "wake up" the player, but that is not what I've seen most recently.) 2 - squeeze2raop can end up taking 100% of the CPU. I've seen this twice, it happens either after running the bridge for a long time (days) or after using bpa's BBC iPlayer redux plugin (for extended periods of time). I've discovered the issue after the fact, researching the cause of strange audio timeouts when playing. I am positive there is a condition on my machine that can make squeeze2raop-x86-64 eat up all the CPU cycles it can; I will try to corner the case further. (and depending on where the mobile Zipp is located I can hear "shifts" in the sync group from time to time. I hope this was appropriately documented in an earlier post.) Overall the bridge performs so well I am a bit on the fence as to deploy it at my mom's. She's not exactly a digital native, but she makes about equal use of her SB players and of iPad apps that rely on airplay. I would introduce the bridge with no hesitation if it offered bidirectional control (play/pause, prev/next buttons) and if direct access from other airplay clients was managed somehow. This way I could remove 1 SB3 which is confusingly colocated with an Airport Express on one amp, and make better use of a Libratone Zipp gen 1. I'm with you, I can't think of any reason why someone should want to set a startup delay greater than a couple secs. In case the overflow thing can happen more easily as the size of the sync group increases (or the number of software player increases), then correcting the bug could benefit some users in the real world. There again, for me I don't think I have ever used more than 4 synced audio sources at the same time. 3 is less exceptional. I was able to get a Localplayer running on my 32-bit test machine. I synced the Squeezelite player with one SB3, and shot the startup delay up to see what happens : on my system Squeezelite waited with the SB3 if the delay was under 10006. 10.006ms and above, Squeezelite started alone. So I synced the SB3 with my AE airplay player (on the same LMS server). Same behavior: synced started ok if delay not too high. I would like to write 10005 here, but it's more mysterious than that: if the delay is not too high, most of the time it will be observed. If really high (20secs) then it is never observed by the software player. And then a weird thing happened I noticed Squeezelite player (from Local Player plugin), who was still in the sync group and outputting to earphones in another room was starting without waiting at all anymore. I stopped using Local Player and created a 3 device sync group with an SB3, my AE and my Libratone Loop. The behaviour of the airplay players in the sync group wrt. start is erratic. Sometimes they respect the delay, sometimes 1 starts alone, sometimes both start early. The SB3 always stays put until the delay has expired. If I power down 1 of the 2 airplay devices, the sync group behaves again. If I power down the SB3 in the group, one airplay device waits and the other starts early. I returned to my own 1000ms setting, and I think I can report all airplay players and SB3 start in sync. That's unclear and possibly inconsistent with my previous report, sorry. There is a fair bit of issues with running this plugin on NAS especially with an arm5 CPU. I think I will need to build a all-inclusive application with all the codecs like I did for Mac OS but that a fair bit of work and I need more time. What I would recommend if you want to try is to use this on any machine on your network. You do not need to run this application on the same machine that runs LMS. If you have a Linux (pc or raspi) a Windows or a Mac, just download the zip file from sourceforge and launch the corresponding executable found in the Bin sub-directory. Although the time elapsed bar on Music coming from stream services such tidal/spotify/deezer/pandora is acting weird and does not allow forward or rewind. Synchronization works quite well between airplay receivers but not when mixing with regular squeezelite/squeezeplay/SQbox players. Wondering if that's even possible? I've tried setting the delay but it gets ignored. ronluna's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=64327 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105114 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] AirPlay bridge: use airplay devices from LMS (experimental)
Skip is bad, all soft and wobbly is good! I much prefer this version. - Using v0.1.0.3-dev-1 in a 64-bit VM with files on NFS or in a 32-bit machine, local music files. - Same setup as before, SB3+AE, wired, 3 m. apart - No crossfade/smart crossfade. Fade in-out tested, working ok, most of the time tested with no transition at all. To my ears, the skip event is noticeable regardless of the amount of time being skipped: 10, 20, 57ms ... all sound identical to me: one source "comes to the foreground". My objective was to see if skips could be avoided. With this version, skips no longer ping-pong, so if there is a shift, then it's settled for the whole song. Good! Skips happen almost exclusively near song start, virtually none during song, some at track end (say 95/1/4.) This is typical, but not systematic (skip threshold 10ms, 3 sec. buffer size): Code: [16-02-18 14:07:49.4956] Slim::Player::StreamingController::_CheckSync (526) playPoints: 00:04:20:30:40:50: 1455800846.285, aa:aa:0e:12:43:6b:+0 [16-02-18 14:07:50.4957] Slim::Player::StreamingController::_CheckSync (526) playPoints: 00:04:20:30:40:50: 1455800846.285, aa:aa:0e:12:43:6b:+0 [16-02-18 14:07:51.4956] Slim::Player::StreamingController::_CheckSync (526) playPoints: 00:04:20:30:40:50: 1455800870.873, aa:aa:0e:12:43:6b: -24588 <- new track starts here [16-02-18 14:07:52.4990] Slim::Player::StreamingController::_CheckSync (526) playPoints: 00:04:20:30:40:50: 1455800870.873, aa:aa:0e:12:43:6b: -24588 <- +1 sec. But why? I am unsure but I think I have a bit of an album that I could repeatably play without skips at song start (FLAC 16/44 files). I didn't research further along media types. If it weren't for this, I guess 10ms or perhaps 20ms would work ~100%. I can't hear a sync quality difference between 10ms and 20ms even with sources this close. I was puzzled about this, and here is what 2 SB3s show when they change track: Code:

It still works on a raspi B, which is a very modest CPU so it should be fine LMS 7.7.5 - 5xRadio, 3xBoom, 4xDuet, 1xTouch, 1 SB2. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] AirPlay bridge: use airplay devices from LMS (experimental)
Ok, I will run with 1000ms from now on, on a "real" hw platform (32-bit debian 8 i686) rather than a saggy VM. (last week I tried w/ 50ms and 3000ms. 50 didn't go far, 3000 was ok but in a sync group with an SB3 the player could not recover from a desync.) Another fun fact: yesterday I was running an all-airplay show with the Airport Express and the Loop in a group. The Loop was running solid for hours, and the AE dropped from the group from time to time. Right now I am listening to an SB3 synched to the Loop. And the Loop has dropped (@ 500ms). To me, it's either bad luck or it was evicted from the nest by the SB3... Makes me believe the issue comes from players interaction (somewhere), rather than the airplay link logic itself. 4 SB 3 iPeng (iPhone + iPad) Squeezebox Server 7.9 (linux) with plugins: CD Player, WaveInput, Triode's BBC iPlayer by bpa IRBlaster by Gwendesign (Felix) Server Power Control by Gordon Harris Smart Mix, Music Walk With Me, What Was That Tune? by Michael Herger PowerSave by Jason Holtzapple Song Info, Song Lyrics by Erland Isaksson WeatherTime by Martin Rehfeld ShairTunes2 by disaster123 Local Player by Triode Auto Dim Display, SaverSwitcher, ContextMenu by Peter Watkins. epoch1970's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=16711 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105114 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] AirPlay bridge: use airplay devices from LMS (experimental)
I've launched -dev10 too. I used a new config. I still have this weird situation with the AE where the server resolves wap01.local to the ipv4ll address, and the connection is established but no sound comes out. I don't understand what's happening with this. It would be nice if the config allowed to define a preferred IP address, then I would force the plugin to use the (static) IPv4 address. The loop started fine, so did the old AppleTV1,1. 4 SB 3 iPeng (iPhone + iPad) Squeezebox Server 7.9 (linux) with plugins: CD Player, WaveInput, Triode's BBC iPlayer by bpa IRBlaster by Gwendesign (Felix) Server Power Control by Gordon Harris Smart Mix, Music Walk With Me, What Was That Tune? by Michael Herger PowerSave by Jason Holtzapple Song Info, Song Lyrics by Erland Isaksson WeatherTime by Martin Rehfeld ShairTunes2 by disaster123 Local Player by Triode Auto Dim Display, SaverSwitcher, ContextMenu by Peter Watkins. epoch1970's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=16711 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105114 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

The log shows a lot of retransmits, I have removed a lot of repeats, but pasted when it changes state again.. any ideas?: [08:49:45.596681] raopcl_send_sample:315 check n:3564439548 p:3564440002 tsa:3905388487 sn:30673 [08:49:55.596959] raopcl_send_sample:315 check n:3564449548 p:3564450003 tsa:3905829543 sn:31926 [08:50:00.282441] rtp_control_thread:973 [0xa391c0]: retransmit packet sn:32508 nb:1 (mis:0) (err:0) [08:50:05.593442] raopcl_send_sample:315 check n:3564459545 p:3564460005 tsa:3906270599 sn:33179 [08:50:15.595880] raopcl_send_sample:315 check n:3564469547 p:3564470006 tsa:3906711655 sn:34432 [08:50:25.600368] raopcl_send_sample:315 check n:3564479552 p:3564480007 tsa:3907152711 sn:35685 [08:50:31.669563] exec_request:458 [0x9ce7e8]: response : request failed [08:50:35.585113] raopcl_send_sample:315 check n:3564489537 p:3564490001 tsa:3907593415 sn:36937 [08:50:45.582726] raopcl_send_sample:315 check n:3564499534 p:356452 tsa:3908034471 sn:38190 [08:50:49.747060] rtp_control_thread:973 [0xa391c0]: retransmit packet sn:38108 nb:1 (mis:1) (err:0) [08:50:49.751663] rtp_control_thread:973 [0xa391c0]: retransmit packet sn:38109 nb:1 (mis:1) (err:0) [08:50:49.751793] rtp_control_thread:973 [0xa391c0]: retransmit packet sn:38110 nb:1 (mis:1) (err:0) [08:50:49.751894] rtp_control_thread:973 [0xa391c0]: retransmit packet sn:38111 nb:1 (mis:1) (err:0) [08:50:49.751993] rtp_control_thread:973 [0xa391c0]: retransmit packet sn:38112 nb:1 (mis:1) (err:0) [08:50:49.754226] rtp_control_thread:973 [0xa391c0]: retransmit packet sn:38113 nb:1 (mis:1) (err:0) [08:50:49.754358] rtp_control_thread:973 [0xa391c0]: retransmit packet sn:38114 nb:1 (mis:1) (err:0) [08:50:49.757838] rtp_control_thread:973 [0xa391c0]: retransmit packet sn:38115 nb:1 (mis:1) (err:0) [08:50:49.757961] rtp_control_thread:973 [0xa391c0]: retransmit packet sn:38116 nb:1 (mis:1) (err:0) [08:50:49.760218] rtp_control_thread:973 [0xa391c0]: retransmit packet sn:38117 nb:1 (mis:1) (err:0) [08:50:49.760320] rtp_control_thread:973 [0xa391c0]: retransmit packet sn:38118 nb:1 (mis:1) (err:0) [08:50:49.777359] rtp_control_thread:973 [0xa391c0]: retransmit packet sn:38127 nb:1 (mis:1) (err:0) [08:50:49.779737] rtp_control_thread:973 [0xa391c0]: retransmit packet sn:38128 nb:1 (mis:1) (err:0) [08:50:49.782888] rtp_control_thread:973 [0xa391c0]: retransmit packet sn:38129 nb:1 (mis:1) (err:0) [08:50:49.782997] rtp_control_thread:973 [0xa391c0]: retransmit packet sn:38130 nb:1 (mis:1) (err:0) [08:50:49.821540] rtp_control_thread:973 [0xa391c0]: retransmit packet sn:38137 nb:1 (mis:1) (err:0) [08:50:49.821703] rtp_control_thread:973 [0xa391c0]: retransmit packet sn:38138 nb:1 (mis:1) (err:0) [08:50:49.823104] rtp_control_thread:973 [0xa391c0]: retransmit packet sn:38139 nb:1 (mis:1) (err:0) [08:50:49.823219] rtp_control_thread:973 [0xa391c0]: retransmit packet sn:38140 nb:1 (mis:1) (err:0) [08:50:49.823880] rtp_control_thread:973 [0xa391c0]: retransmit packet sn:38141 nb:1 (mis:1) (err:0) [08:50:49.823979] rtp_control_thread:973 [0xa391c0]: retransmit packet sn:38142 nb:1 (mis:1) (err:0) [08:50:49.840608] rtp_control_thread:973 [0xa391c0]: retransmit packet sn:38150 nb:1 (mis:1) (err:0) [08:50:49.842585] rtp_control_thread:973 [0xa391c0]: retransmit packet sn:38151 nb:1 (mis:1) (err:0) [08:50:49.845869] rtp_control_thread:973 [0xa391c0]: retransmit packet sn:38152 nb:1 (mis:1) (err:0) [08:50:49.847863] rtp_control_thread:973 [0xa391c0]: retransmit packet sn:38153 nb:1 (mis:1) (err:0) [08:50:49.849848] rtp_control_thread:973 [0xa391c0]: retransmit packet sn:38154 nb:1 (mis:1) (err:0) . I've seen a few strange things: I was using blocking sockets to send the audio frames (these are UDP) but it seems that, some of the lost frames I was observing were due to lost packet at the sender level (there is a re-send mechansim that was working, though). When playback was interrupted on my system, a "send" was blocking for more than a second (which is really strange, as I send them at the real time pace and our logs confirmed that no overrun/overflow occured). Anyway, I've moved to non blocking sockets and a proper of socket 'write' availaibility check, and with that I've been able to play hours now and no interruptioj nor lost frame (no need to re-send them), so maybe that's a solution (although I don't like when I don't understand) LMS 7.7.5 - 5xRadio, 3xBoom, 4xDuet, 1xTouch, 1 SB2. Then perhaps I cannot rule out a transient problem with access to the music files? My LMS server is a linux VM which accesses the files via NFS (over udp, server in the VM host machine.) I can't really say I ever had problems playing music, but I have already seen the NFS server go unresponsive for a little while. Unlikely, but a possibility. The computing environment is not quite standard here. For further tests, I could install a dedicated machine with a local drive. That would look much more like a regular home setup. Tonight I want to stream a repeating AAC playlist to the Airport Express and see what happens. This AE is the current model (released mid-2012), definitely an "Airplay" device. I am having trouble with it. The AE is the only device that I have that registers the RAOP service on an IPv4LL address. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] AirPlay bridge: use airplay devices from LMS (experimental)
Hello Guys, Philippe thanks for your work, i would love to use my Denon AVR of Apple TV as Squeezebox device. But your plugin will not work, i use a Synology DS 213 (arm) as Server with LMS repack 7.9 installed. It starts only on armv6hf, then it stops and my synology crashes, have to start it up and LMS is down. The configuration file wil not write. I hope someone has a fix. Just uploaded the dev-8 - corrects the mp4/aac issue - adds metadata and progress support (useful on apple tv and other devices with display) - armv6hf binary works for Pi B and Pi 2 - added an armv5el binary (probably challenging for such devices, I cannot test) LMS 7.7.5 - 5xRadio, 3xBoom, 4xDuet, 1xTouch, 1 SB2. After ~4hrs my Libratone Loop ceased producing sound. When I looked, its led status indicated the device was asleep. LMS showed the player was on, and playing. Well audio is severely out ouf sync, now :) - The SB3 alone plays a FLAC file without transcoding, - My Loop plays a FLAC file transcoded to FLAC, and an MP3 file without transcoding. I'll install in a VM and see. If results are different, I'll be able to diff the instances. Yesterday we had issues with my Libratone Loop. philippe_44 has solved it, for me, in version dev-5 of the plugin. To update the plugin I have to uninstall it, restart LMS, install it again (new version gets pulled), restart LMS. Maybe you want to try this if you're not running dev-5. ALSO: If you're under linux I think the executables are not ... executable after install in this version. I had to go to the plugin/Bin (in my case: /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/RaopBridge/Bin/ ) and chmod +x one of the squeeze2raop files. Hey philippe_44, what you've done here is absolutely insane... I am playing right now with an SB3 on the right channel, my Libratone Loop on the left channel :D Audio delay set to 370ms in the loop player. Purrfect! I reported avahi-daemon was conflicting with the plugin. My apologies, this was wrong. I unfortunately had "disallow-other-stacks=yes" in avahi-daemon.conf. This is not the default, and when the line is commented out, it all works fine. Sorry again. I don't understand what happens wrt transcoding. I listened to FLAC and mp3s, all the FLAC was converted to mp3, and gapless wasn't truly gapless. So I whacked "mp3" out of the way in the supported codecs. And now gapless is gapless like you couldn't believe. But I can't play mp3s anymore and my FLAC gets converted to PCM or AIFF  I still think the Libratone Loop is funky wrt raop.tcp registration. I have the impression it registers airport.tcp better? Or could it be the presence of my AE, acting as sleep proxy? I'll explore this further. 4 SB 3 iPeng (iPhone + iPad) Squeezebox Server 7.9 (linux) with plugins: CD Player, WaveInput, Triode's BBC iPlayer by bpa IRBlaster by Gwendesign (Felix) Server Power Control by Gordon Harris Smart Mix, Music Walk With Me, What Was That Tune? by Michael Herger PowerSave by Jason Holtzapple Song Info, Song Lyrics by Erland Isaksson WeatherTime by Martin Rehfeld ShairTunes2 by disaster123 Local Player by Triode Auto Dim Display, SaverSwitcher, ContextMenu by Peter Watkins. epoch1970's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=16711 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105114 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

After discovery, LMS volume is sent only when playback starts. What is your config file ? Would you mind erasing it if you have created it with a former version ? What happened precisely ? Hi, A couple of things. - first time sound on, but with the volume all the way down, it was playing insanely loud. Could the discovery make sure to sync volume level all the way down? - I have a Libratone Zipp that is discovered, but cannot be enable, each time I enable it, it gets unchecked by itself. Can't see anything about this player in the log. - I have played a radio stream, where suddenly the sound stops. The counter continues to increment, and if I press pause and play again then sound comes again, and the counter continues still Doesn't start from zero again. But sound is flowing, and two airplay devices have been playing I sync Yeay.. Just type 'gdb ./squeeze2raop-x86-64´ and then type 'run' at the prompt. Let It crash and once it has crashed, type 'backtrace' and tell me what you see. I gdb is not found, install build-essential by sudo apt-get install build-essential LMS 7.7.5 - 5xRadio, 3xBoom, 4xDuet, 1xTouch, 1 SB2.
