 I used a full electric blanket yrs ago after my injury. One night I rolled on 
my side and the blanket got wedged between my knees. When I woke up I had two 
burns with blisters on the insides of my legs. Thats the danger, if the blanket 
gets on the skin  ith weight and you dont move.

I never thought an electric blanket would get that hot.

I wanted to dress up a bit for a photo, jeans instead of sweats. Only 1 
day and I got a sore on my butt. It was not bad, but kept getting worse. 
Found out I was bottoming out my Roho. The cover I used was a bit too

I had a sore that was on the bottom of my bottom. Kind of like the panty  
line. I was in bed. 6 months and they use a treatment to go inside the  wound 
and it helped to grow new tissue. It is called is

This sore was 6 inches long. And I'm not sure how  deep. This seemed to 
cure me in six months. I was in bed unless I went to the  doctor, wound care or

I have a small ischeal sore on my right butt cheek, It's been there for years.  
A few years ago I got ostyomolits (bone infection) and did 5 days in the 
hospital and 8 weeks on vincamyacn.  A nurse visits 3x a week and takes care of 
it, I spend most of my time off of it so it don't get worse and it well 
probably go with me to my grave but I'm not going to let it put me there.

Hi Larry,
I know you've probably tried every 'modern' treatment out there ... have you 
ever tried using the old wet to dry saline and gauze packing?  I was in a 
nursing home waiting for a flap to be done and my Ex and I got so frustrated 
that we demanded they try the old wet to dry.  I went in Christmas Eve and was 
out by Valentines Day.  I did stay off my butt, but, this was in 2007-2008 and 
it's been good since.  Btw, I'm nearly 63 years old and I'm close to 46 years 
post injury.  I hear you abut being less motivated ... I've lost a lot of my 
get up and go also.

Larry, I hear ya. It is YOUR body and of you don't want to stay in bed for X 
amount of months in bed, then don't.

I, personally have NEVER EVER seen an OBGYN or had a PAP smear or have a 
mammogram. I'll never have a Colonoscopy or any other type of tests for 
disease hunting. I've been plugging along doing this Quad living for over 
40 years now.

[QUAD-L] sores

Well, I have an appointment with a wound specialist this Wednesday. I figure 
a wound that hasn't healed in four years needs some serious assistance. I 
should have done this nearly three years ago but  just could not face 
putting my life on hold. Tis about 4x5 in, clean with very little depth, but 
ver stubborn and painful. Wish me luck guys. Larry
