Seeking an individual to provide test execution support. Responsibilities will include: * the execution of manual and automated tests on the System I (A.K.A AS/400) platform * monitoring, planning, and coordination of test activities with remote users * various test environment maintenance and cleanup tasks The candidate must have strong System I operational skills * RPG, CL, COBOL skills a plus * Proficient skills in Microsoft Office. Specifically with EXCEL, EXCEL VBA Query Language, and MS-ACCESS. * SQL language skills are required. Preferably PDSQL for DB2-400. * The candidate must have strong technical skills * The candidate must be flexible and adaptive to meeting aggressive deadlines * The candidate must have strong written and verbal communications skills * The candidate must be willing to learn and grow as technology changes affect the environment * Ability to decipher and comprehend both technical and business documentation * Ability to multitask and adjust to changing schedules and priorities There is little to no coding involved on the System I side of this position. The candidate will need to be able to navigate the System I using basic to intermediate control line commands. They will need to be able to execute test scripts on the System I. They will need to be able to look at file/object descriptions. They will have to be able to read a job log, trouble shoot, and determine root cause of errors, which may require some programming knowledge. They will need the ability to access and analyze data using SQL and/or DBU. The ideal candidate will have experience in both QA testing and programming on the System I, but if I had to choose one or the other I'd choose a programmer As long as they understand there is probably no programming involved in this position. Aids in the design and development of equipment and systems, and redesign of existing systems to fulfill the needs of customers. Responsibilities also include providing equipment functionality and capability reports to the sales force, and acting as technical liaison to the sales team. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs feasibility studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives. Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer systems. Confers with personnel of the organizational units involved to analyze current operation procedures, identify problems, and learn specific requirements. Write detailed descriptions of needs and steps required to setup the application. Review system capabilities specifications and scheduling limitations to determine if requested application is possible within the existing environment. Install new software releases system upgrades, evaluate and install patches and resolve software related problems. Perform daily maintenance and monitoring of the systems to ensure integrity and health. Responsibilities . Build out a test environment for Novell Access Manager (NAM). . Provide leadership with the migration of the current iChain software to the NAM software. This includes gathering business requirements and doing customization to the base NAM system to support these requirements. . Coordinates with other technical teams to collaborate on enhancement design and verification of system modifications. . Analyze current identity management environment and provide recommendations to improve development practices, application integration, and software lifecycle support. Skills Enterprise-level technical skills and experiences that is required for this position, including one or more of the following: . J2EE, JAVA, JSP . Enterprise Directory Architecture and Design . Services-Oriented Architecture and Development . Identity and Access Management . Infrastructure and Operations Security . Experience with Customizing Login Pages . Hands-on experience-understanding of Identity and Access Management architecture, meta-directory, and attribute mapping. . Solid understanding of Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP). . Able to work with business customers and resolve technical design issues. Required Basic Qualifications . 5+ years experience in application development . 3+ years technical architecture experience integrating identity and access management software into clients' infrastructure and applications . 5+ years of experience with Java/J2EE WebSphere using Java Development tools. . Knowledge of HTML, XML, XSLT, JSP, and CSS. . Experience working with a DBMS such as DB2, Oracle, or MS SQL Server. . 3+ years experience with iChain and/or Novel Access Manager (NAM).
