Boron, Mineral Surprise
by Dr John Whitcomb

Boron, Mineral Surprise

References: Science Direct, Wikipedia,

Ever heard of boron? Not a very common mineral in mammals. In fact,
it's considered an "ultra trace"
mineral. Produced by spallation and supernovae, it is not an
abundant mineral, but is present in
many soils in a trace level. There is no obvious known animal use
for it as making rats deficient
has been a challenge requiring ultra pure diets. Rats then get lousy
skin and fur. It's very light
in weight and makes extremely hard crystals, allowing it to be used
as an industrial abrasive and in
high tech magnets and super strong fibers.

Imagine my surprise when I find that it has a surprising role in
humans. It is one of the most
effective known tools to reduce sex hormone binding globulin. It
also may play a surprising role in
osteoporosis and arthritis. In parts of the world where intake of
boron is less than a mg a day, the
incidence of arthritis is 50-70%. In those parts of the world where
boron intake is 3-10 mg a day,
arthritis is around 0-10%. That's just epidemiology, and we don't
have good human studies with
arthritis.

We do have a study showing boron's effect on SHBG. SHBG is Sex
Hormone Binding Globulin. It is the
protein tasked with transporting estrogen and testosterone around
the body. Hormones are based on
cholesterol, a fat, and fat doesn't dissolve in water. SHBG allows
them to be transported in water.
It binds about 99% of the hormones, leading only 1% in the
bioavailable or free form. The way birth
control pills work is to dramatically increase SHBG, thereby binding
virtually all free estrogen and
testosterone. The problem arises when you stop the pill, SHBG may
not go back to normal.

In fact, SHBG's continuing to be high may be a problem with men too.
Continued high SHBG leads to
very tiny levels of free testosterone. Lowering SHBG may be part of
how we raise the level of the
hormones we depend on for good health, testosterone and estrogen.

In this study, 10 mg of boron was given to eight healthy men for a
week. In that short time period,
their blood boron increased and their free testosterone increased
dramatically by 29%, mostly due to
a drop in SHBG. Interestingly enough, CRP, the main mediator of
inflammation, dropped dramatically
as well. This is a terribly short study, with a tiny number of
participants, but it opens a door to
think about the benefit of boron. Then, I look at the ingredients in
my most effective bone builder,
Pro Bono, and I see 2.5 mg of boron daily. The literature on boron
and calcium and bone metabolism
is thin, but it suggests we do better when we have more.

www. What will work for me. I had no idea that boron played such a
big role in general health. I'm
sort of fascinated that this arcane, micro mineral might be so
useful. I'm determined to follow this
further. Between lowering CRP, lowering SHBG, raising testosterone,
lowering calcium excretion, we
might have a whole host of reasons to consider this spallated
mineral to be a little superstar. And
it's fun to learn the term spallation. I'm adding boron to my list
of minerals to use for arthritis,
inflammation and SHBG management.

Pop Quiz

1. Boron is a critical element for human health. T or F

Trick question. We don't really know. It's a micro trace element
with no known mechanism of action
but with many small studies showing beneficial effects.

2. Sex Hormone Binding Globulin rises dramatically with boron. T or F

False. It drops. That is good. Make for higher free testosterone.

3. Birth Control Pills may lead to a permanent elevation of SHBG. T or F

I am not. But a much simpler way to reduce the damage of a stroke is to
take a big slug of dextromethorphane (DM) cough medicine, as soon as
possible.

When a stroke starves a bit of brain tissue of oxygen, that bit releases
a toxin which damages almost 10 times as much surrounding tissue as the
oxygen starvation causes. DM cough syrup seems to prevent the
production or effect of that toxin, reducing the total brain cell death
and shortening recovery time, considerably. This was a serendipitous
discovery.

So, if you think you have had a stroke this is something positive you
can do while waiting for the ambulance.

Cough syrups with the active ingredient, dextromethorphan, usually have
big letters "DM" on the label.

I think I read about it, years ago, in Scientific American. but I may
be wrong about that.

You might search for dextromethorphan neuroprotective.

It does almost appear that way, except a two atom ion/particle does seems

AgCl, but the ionic one will. Just what the difference is in these two is

Re: CSsilver ions vs. particles

2005-10-26 Thread FRANK CUNS-RIAL

Hi list,
Some thoughts regarding how silver would perform in the stomach
envirionment.
I do not enough about the purported benefits of Colliodal silver vs. ionic
silver, but I suspect ionic silver is friendlier to the body because all
minerlas are transported into the cells by ionicelectrical transfer. In the
case of ionic silver (silver combined with some anion such as chloride,
sulphate, nitrate, etc) the silver ion is already formed while the collidal
has to undergo that transformation. This tranformation may or may no take
place as rapidly as some think.
In the stomach as the parietal glands produce HlC on demand, there should be
a number of competing ions that react with the acid. The acid will react
preferentially with one ion over another depending on several factors, the
most important of each being the relative concentration of each ion. The
higher the concentration of the cation, the higher the amount of that salt
being created.

If there is an abundance of sodium over silver the acid
will react with sodium and not with silver.
Whether ionic, unreacted silver remains in the stomach waiting for depletion
of preferential ions or utilizes anohter transport system, I do not know.
However, knowing the silver ions do penetrate the oral mucosa, it makes a
lot of sense to bypass the stomach-liver combo and try to force it via this
mucosa. Simply swish the dose inside your mouth for a couple of minutes
(remove all metal-bearing dentl fixtures) and then swallow. I have not seen
any proof of mucosal absorbtion but the ionic size and charge suggests that
silver would traverse handly.
Regarding mercury fillings, I don't remember at this time, whether silver
has a greater electropotential than mercury, I believe it does in which

Well let me see here, jsut for an analogy when you put salt in water you
get a bunch of chlorine ions and sodium ions floating around in the
water, it is no longer technically salt' as the ions combine with the
water molecules in various ways.
I wonder if the same thing goes for silver. as long as it is in some
kind of solution the atoms remain in an ionic state separate from each
other and then combine into a salt when the water is removed. just a
thought

  Hi Max,
I make, sell and take a good quality CS (1 part + 2 parts Gatorade--as
electrotyte to take the CS deeper into tissues than CS can go alone); and also
recommend to everyone that they add BECK (or other) zapper to your treatment. V
made mine and I have ordered several for friends and highly recommend V's
quality workmanship, his very reasonable price, his promptness in making and
shipping and the FREE BECK Papers CD that he encloses with the order (which to
me seems worth it's weight in gold) + V monitors these Sites and is handy to
help with questions and valuable information. Many can use bG's Site for simple
directions to be able to make their own, but if you prefer, send V an inquiry.
Please check my Site Blogspot (in which I offer Free 3 pages of CS Uses and
1 page of my CS Favorites to which I refer often.
Let me know if I might be of help.

Do most of you folk NOT take the flu vaccine due to your healthy distrust
of poison in the needles, or the more positive take that Silver and other
methods will protect? I am interested in the various points of view.

I myself have always distrusted vaccines, but evaluate continually i.e. I
have Hep C. It is strongly recommended to get the antibodies to Hep A and B
because a case of either could sink the liver. So I tried the Hep A and B
series and my body did not make the antibodies. So now I am retaking the
shots, but by a travel dr or immunologist, who uses a subdermal (as opposed
to intermuscular) technique that may help stimulate the antibodies. I
generally would rather not, but the risk scenario seemed OK...but then again, I
do not know that much about this situation.

Does anyone know what a neg response to the Hep A and B vaccines means?
The Dr's just shrug, but state that the response rate normally is in the 99%
range (have heard different).

I still make my silver and loyally take it as one of the tools to keep me
healthy. (I am sure my quality and potency could be better) But my viral loads
have remained steady, much to my dismay. I would love, obviously, a total
clearance. Any new info on Hep C approaches? I haven't asked here in a while.
The good news is that my liver is pretty healthy (never abused to a great
degree and protect w Milk Thistle), and recent tests show normal liver enzymes
for the first time in a decade. So I have this sense that I am holding strong,
but the virus remains in an immune system sensitive state. As such, I feel
vulnerable to a twist of fate that would lead to a viral explosion.

Thanks for any and all considered responses.

I believe this was discussed awhile ago on this list but I don't remember the

My concern is the sugar and other stuff in the Gatorade that is not good for
me. I like Fulvic Acid minerals from Vital Earth. The Fulvic Acid is supposed
to chelate heavy metals out of the body. I know that CS isn't a heavy metal --
but does anyone know how that would be affected if the two were taken together?

Gatorade increases the absorption rate of the ionic portion of EIS. The
absorption rate is normally restricted due to the ionic portion turning to
silver chloride in the stomach, and the low solubility ( .8 ppm ) of silver in
water or diluted stomach acids. When you mix with gatorade, the high chlorine
content causes the silver to form silver complexes, which are highly soluble,
and thus can pass into the blood stream unimpeded.

Check the ingredients in Gatorade. You will find electrolytes in it, sodium
chloride and potassium chloride.
The supporting information is in these archives, where I have previously

Barbara said,

Are you saying that all those hundreds of thousands

of people that are dying of cancer each year (my
husband was one of them)
are dying completely needlesly? And all the learned
doctors and scientists do not understand or don't want
to understand those simple changes on the cell level?
Are you saying that each and every cancer can be

reversed by simply drinking lots of lemon juice and
take alkaline minerals?

Let us not oversimplify here. Yes, most or all cancer
deaths are needless, provided they had been treated
early enough in ways that enabled the body to heal
itself. Assuming the body had not sunk too low and
lost too much ground to heal itself. No, it is not so
simple as to just drink lemon water and all cancers
will vanish. Dr. Carey Reams treated over 50,000
cancer patients in his life, and claimed to have only
lost 7 to cancer (most of them terminal, who had
already experienced all their doctors could do to
them). There is a long list of doctors and health
practitioners who have had astounding success with all
types of cancers, who have also been persecuted
mercilessly by the medical establishment because of
their success.

Even using the word *cancer* is complex. What type of
cancer? How long has it been there? How old is the
victim? What has been their lifestyle up to
discovering their cancer? How optimistic/pessimistic
is their outlook on life? Have they already had their
immune system damaged by standard medical procedure?
These factors play a significant part in the success
of combating cancer.

I have worked with many cancer victims since I started
testing in 1984. All of them, without exception, have
had very acid urine/saliva pH. Does acid pH cause
cancer? No, but bringing up the pH is a very, very
integral part of fighting cancer. Dr.
Reams used lemon-water, calcium hydroxide and massive

does of Vit D (up to 50,000 iu/day) along with other
things to not just raise the pH but to concurrently
improve the immune system and to detoxify and
strengthen the body. He felt that faith in God was as
important as improving pH in optimizing the patient's
chances of recovery.

I had a woman with cancer who was brought to me by her
husband to test. She had been having 100,000 mg of Vit
C injected each day to fight off her cancer. Her pH
was the lowest I had ever seen. I took her off the Vit
C and recommended a diet/supplement program that
included high doses of Vit D, the appropriate calciums
and a high protein smoothie each day. Her condition
was too fragile to do the lemon-water (a healing
crisis might have done her in). She came in for
bi-monthly testing, but wasn't following my
recommendations. She didn't like the taste of the
smoothie. She didn't like taking all those pills. She
wouldn't take her cancer seriously. She was dead in
two months. Was her cancer needless? Yes, but there
was more going on here than cancer. I could speculate
that she had a death-wish, or had already given up,
but whatever the case, diet and supplements were not
adequate.

One of the reasons that EFT has had such astounding
success with all kinds of health issues, including
cancer, is that it addresses the emotional components
of the persons health issues. I consider it to be as
important as nutrition.

By-the-way, I have a zip file that contains a
collection of articles about cancer that is profound.
I will gladly send it to anyone who asks for it.

  Frank,
I can't answer all of your questions but the activity of the silver ion does
not diminish as it neutralizes molds, bacteria or virius. It does have a short
life in the body of about 1 1/2 hours as it is filter out by the kidneys. The
silver list archives has a report on that dated about four years ago.

Silver somehow interfers with the life cycle of the pathogens.

I support Terry's comments. Barbara, I am truly sorry that you lost your
husband to cancer but I lost my mother as well and I, for a while, believed
all the stories. test results, etc that MD threw in my way. I was even proud
of the fact that I could understand all their jargon and proposed changes to
the treatment! I was a poor ignorant buffon, playing their game.
Today, a few years later, I know better and I am convinced that many cancer
patients do die needlessly because of the terror campaign the AMA started
many decades ago and continues to this day. The only valid approach for the
AMA is chemistry (pharmaceuticals) and only if they can be patented. If, at
this time, it become known that anything other than chemotherapy would cure
cancer, the medical profession will never recover. At this time, they think
of themselves as the only ones prepared to fight cancer. This monopolistic
terrorism, relies on the political power of the AMA. Last week they came up
with the cure for another cancer that kills 3000 Americans a year and you
could see MD on TV with their faces elated in enthusiasm. Pathetic I would
say, when you realize that over 500, 000 Americasn die each year from all
cancers.
Dr. Nick Gonzalez ( I believe that is his name) in NY is achieving a cure
rate for pancreatic cancer of 80% (following the 5 year nonsense ruel) using
proteolitic enzymes. MD can't even get to 10%! THe AMA challenged him to
file with the FDA and for the longest time he refused but ultimatly
sucumbed. Once the FDA approves his protocol, other MD will be able to copy
and treat patients.
I do want to tell you that within five years Gonzalez's protocol will be
ruined and discredited. Never mind that German and French MDs have been
using it for decades with the same rate of success. Is not patentable and
thus does not cure
The same applies to other techniques such as those of Rife, Beck, Clark,
Burzynski, etc. all of them capable researchers that have invented and/or
developed procedures proven capable of high remision rates, many of them
hopeless
When it comes to cancer and other chronic diseases, we are victims of the
biggest hoax ever perpetrated on mankind.
Have you ever thought about the efficacy of critical care? Allopathic
medicine has made tremendous progress in the surgery and acute care
fields.but is a total fiasco when it comes to chronic care. Guess where most
of the money is made!
Imagine that all the inflammatory, cancer, cardiovascular and diabetes
diseases would bo away as a fracture leg does. see my point?
MD do understand what is happening in the cellualr terrain but there is a
huge leap between that and a cure.
On the other hand is silly to think than drinking lemon juice will prevent
cancer. But if you develop an alkaline extracellular terrian you stand a far
greater chance of avoiding cancer.
Dr Rath has done extensive work in this regard and has proven that certian
simple natural aminoacids do restrain metastasis. Has anyone ever heard that
on TV? The minute a TV station braodcasts such a fact, Pharma will pull all
the advertising from that station and have the FDA and FTC get into action.
Many Md ask the same questions but the largest majority do not know any
better. Ask any MD about ways to treat cancer other than chemotherpay and
you'll get the deepest silence.
There is a whole world out there of valid, effective ways of saving lives
and the AMA is doing an outstanding job in keeping it hidden from us. .

Best wishes,
Frank

remove mercury from the body altogether. The study, I

I wish I had the information again. I could probably

will do it. However, the highest amount of mercury
removed involves between 10-20 treatments of something
like 3-4 hours hooked up to an IV with the EDTA
solution. There might be better ways but that is the

Hello Ken and all...

I have this book: http://www.noamalgam.com/ it is VERY good and the
author is a regular poster answering people's questions on this Yahoo
Group: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Autism-Mercury/ his name is
Andrew Hall Cutler.

He has a Very Thorough mercury detox protocol and he goes into great
detail about what it takes to get Mercury out of your brain as opposed to
just getting it out of your body. Apparently, ALA (Alpha Lipoic Acid)
crosses the blood brain barrier to get the mercury out.

An important part of his protocol is the timing of the doses. He has a
several days on, several days off protocol and the timing of the doses
is CRITICAL - meaning you have to take your ALA every 4 hours including
getting up in the middle of the night to take your dose.

He uses DMPS for mercury chelation and does not recommend chlorella or
Cilantro. About EDTA, in his book he states, EDTA is an intravenous
chelating agent for lead. It is not very selective and superseded for
practical purposes by DMSA. EDTA is used by alternative physicians to
treat coronary artery disease, intermittent claudication, and peripheral
neuropathy with some success. It is not generally helpful for chronic
fatigue and other mercury related symptom complexes. Physicians familiar
with EDTA may not be aware that it is not the medication of choice to
treat lead or mercury intoxication at present.

Regarding DMPS he states, DMPS is a chelating agent for mercury and
arsenic. Currently investigational in the US. DMPS is a water soluble
dimercapto chelating agent that stays outside the cells. It mops up
mercury and suppresses symptoms very well. Large doses (e.g. 3 mg/kg IV)
have been associated with risks of liver damage, neutropenia, and other
serious adverse reactions. Deaths may also have occurred. There are no
statistics but best estimates are that the risk may be as high as 17% per
patient undergoing monthly DMPS therapy by injection. Lower intravenous
doses appear to be safer, but not safe. Intramuscular administration
appears to be associated with more sever side effects and a greater risk
of adverse reactions. It is also painful. If yeast or fungus infection
occurs or progresses during therapy, suspect neutropenia. Agranulocytosis
can occur. When used properly by oral administration every 8 hours DMPS if
fairly safe and works very well. Proper use is described in the text.
Orally administered DMPS relieves symptoms more promptly and completely
than DMSA for the duration of therapy despite the fact that no more
mercury is excreted. It is often tolerated by people who do not tolerate
DMSA, or has a similar side effect at a reduced level that may permit
therapy. DMPS increases the excretion of mercury in the urine but not in
the feces. It also increases the excretion of copper and other essential
elements in the urine, but this does not significantly affect the body's
balance since these are primarily excreted in the feces.

I have to run but sometime tomorrow I'll post what he says about ALA
(Lipoic Acid), Chlorella and Cilantro if anyone wants me to.

I HIGHLY recommend: 1) his book and 2) the Yahoo Group I listed links to.

There is specific evidence that increasing one's
intake of selenium and Vit E increases the body's
utilization of silver (and diminishes its tendency to
accumulate silver in the skin or elsewhere). The
corollary idea is that a deficiency of these nutrients
contributes to a susceptibility to argyria

If I had blue anything, I would supplement with those items.

Re: CSH2O2 measurements

Marshall, I suspect that the peroxide would oxidize the ionic silver from
one free reactive electron to two, reacting simultaneously and stripping an
oxygen from the peroxide and releasing water.

Ag+1 + H2O2=AgO +H2O
This reaction is stoichiometrically balanced and chemically viable. It may
help in the form of catalysis, heat, etc. (I have not checked the
electropotentials of each entity)

Whether it happens only experiementation would tell.
I also suspect it'd be rather difficult for the peroxide (even 35%) to react
with the free metal, other than a surface oxidation.

Subject: CSH2O2 measurements

I am making up some CS for a vet who wants it H2O2 energized.
Previously on this list we have discussed exactly what H2O2 does when
added to brewed EIS (CS). Basically the action is fairly complex, and
can result in clearing yellow cs, and in other cases clouding clear cs,
depending on the colloidal content, the ionic content, and the amount of
hydrogen peroxide added. I will be analyzing the addition of 3% H2O2,
if you are using 35% then then amount used should be cut by slightly
over 10:1.

H2O2 has the unique property of combining with the colloidal component
of EIS, making silver oxide AND reacting with silver oxide producing
colloidal particles of only 2 atoms each releasing oxygen. If during
this time the amount of silver oxide exceeds the solubility limit of
about 13 ppm*, the solution may become cloudy. If the EIS has color,
this will also typically disappear if the solubility limit of the silver
oxide is not exceeded.

At this time is is unclear what the stochastic are of the two
reactions. They likely do depend on H2O2 concentration, and possibly
temperature or other factors. However an analysis of the chemistry does
indicate that one does not want an excessive amount of H2O2 once it is
mixed with anything else or taken internally. The reason for this is
that as long as there is any remaining H2O2 there is a continuous
conversion back and forth between silver particles and silver oxide, and
if you mix it with anything that has a chlorine component (saliva,
stomach acid, blood), the silver oxide immediately becomes silver
chloride and is no longer available to make particles, and if over about
.8 ppm, will precipitate out. This will stop the conversion of the
ionic portion to the particulate portion, but will not stop the
particulate to the ionic, thus causing the colloidal portion to decrease
while the silver chloride increases over time. This is one reason for
the recommendation to let it sit for 5 or so minutes before taking, to
hopefully allow the excess H2O2 to be used up.

So what we want to add is probably something on the order of the amount
of H2O2 that represents a 5:1 to 10:1 ratio of molecules of H2O2 to
silver atoms. The reason why we want an excess over 1:1 are twofold.
First we start with about 90% ionic, and 10% colloidal, but the
particles are much larger than 2 atoms each. We must break down the
larger particles which is going to use up some of the needed H2O2 to
convert them to silver oxide first. But even more importantly, as we
convert 2 atom silver oxide to silver particles, 2 atom silver particles
are being converted back to silver oxide. So we have an exponential
rate of change over time with increasing particle content, where the
final result is approached exponentially. This basically means we will
need an excess of H2O2 to get anywhere near the highest conversion to
particles, an excess which I estimate to be on the order of 5:1 to 10:1.

Now for some numbers.

60 drops = 1 teaspoon
48 teaspoons = 1 cup = 8 oz
16 cups = 1 gallon
mw of silver = 108
mw of H2O2 = 34

10 ppm of silver in water will require 3.14 (10*34/108) ppm of H2O2 to
have an equal number ot atoms of silver vs molecules of H2O2.
One cup of EIS will contain 2880 drops, so 3.14*2880/(.03*100) = 0.3
drops of 3% H2O2 would correspond to a equal number of molecules of H2O2
vs silver atoms.

A 5:1 to 10:1 excess would indicate the optimum amount of 3% H2O2 added
to a cup of 10 ppm CS would be 1.5 to 3 drops. This agrees very well
with the experimental results people have reported here that an
effective ratio is a couple of drops per glassful. That works out to
about 1/2 teaspoon per gallon. Of course 20 ppm CS would require twice
those values.

* silver oxide spontaneously hydrates to silver hydroxide, which
spontaneously dehydrates back to silver oxide. The result is that
normally one will have approximately equal amounts of both giving a
total solubility limit of the two of them of about 26 ppm total (13 ppm
each).

Jim, I understand that you may want to dilute a concentrated solution od
CO3HNa (Sodium Bicarbonate) down with water to a reading of 4 to ppm TDS.
All you have to add is water. mixing and measuring until you get the desired
reading.
What I don;t understand, neither you provide me with sufficient information,
is the question of how much Silver carbonate (CO3Ag2) would it be formed in
the process?
First you are talking about a simple physical dilution of Sodium Bicarbonate
and secondly you introduce a chemical reaction in which you include Silver
Carbonate as one of the reactants, Where is the silver reagent coming from?
do you mean to dilute the Bicarbonate solution with CS water instaed of
Distilled? If that is so I would need toknow the concentration of this CS.
Are the calibration of your instrument via a conductivity meter and the
making of CS, perhaps, two separate and distinct procedures?

I am confused.

Re: CSRe: 170 V pulsed DC process.

2005-09-30 Thread FRANK CUNS-RIAL
Jim, without getting into heavy stuff, let me explain the diffculty in
answering the question of how many ppm of Silver carbonate you'd get.
If you were to start with pure bicarbonate, it would dissasociate into
carbonate and we could then figure out the amount of Silver Carbonate but only
if if we knew also knew how much Silver was available.
You have two unkowns in your premisse
.\One is tha fact that you use household grade bicarbonate not reagent grade.
You don't know how much of it is impurities and above all you don't know what
kind of impurities you are dealing with. I bet you have moisture, sulfates,
carbonates and other impurities.
That could be one of the reasons why you are not able to get a linear
relationship between concentrations and conductivities.
In addition, please keep in mind that dissolved gases, such as carbon dioxide
and oxygen will change your TDS readings.
The second issue is that if you are looking for the amount of Silver Carbonate,
you need to know how much Carbonate (or bicarbonate) and how much Silver are
available. Reactions occur until one of the reactants are exausted. This is
called the Limiting Reagent or Reactant. Once this reactant is all used up, the
reactions stops regardless of the amounts left over unreacted of any of the
other reactants.
So you'd need to know the concentration of the two ions (carbonate and silver)
in order to determine the resulting - amount of Silver Carbonate.
Your supplier has done this work experiemntally, knowing the amounts, the
reaction parameters and the end result and thus is able to tell you what
amounts of whatever you'll be getting if you operate under the same conditions..

He said this would increase my bone density in nine days, as opposed to the 30
days to achieve the same effect with the tan sesame seeds. I never did have my
bone density checked--before or after, so I can't say if that worked. I can
say that my fingernails grew so strong in a short period of time that I was
unable to trim them with my fingernail clipper (didn't have the strength). I
gave two friends of mine coffee grinders and a supply of these black sesame
seeds. One of these had fallen off a roof feet first and suffered 13 foot and
ankle fractures. He was not supposed to be able to walk again, but I last saw
him doing just that. The doctor couldn't get over his surprise on viewing the
x-rays. My other friend was an elderly lady with multiple vertebral fractures
(spinal collapse). She had a marked degree of lessening of her pain when
taking the sesame seeds.

If you experiment with black sesame seeds, make sure you get the ones that
are not hulled, as I think that removes the minerals--much like processing

propietor speaks enough English to figure out what I need. I order the black

So many possibilities!

If you're in the habit of getting strong detergents or other household

I just got a mailing from a Paul Oberdorf who advocates alternative
methods of healing and sells stuff for colon cleansing, Colloidal
Silver, etc.

He says that he has come up with a method, based on some European
research with overweight mice, which causes one to loose weight by
taking an antioxidant supplement.

Basically, one takes ALA (alpha lipoic acid) capsules three times a
day, after eating. It's that simple. The dose is one pill of 375mg
after each meal for a total of 1125mg per day. He also states that the
375 is all useable ALA so getting a manufactured product may have a
lower amount of useable ALA.

The mechanism is not entirely understood, but apparently involves a
suppression of an enzyme that makes one hungry and also the effect of
ALA directly on the liver where it increases bile flow. ALA is also
supposed to be a heavy metal chelator. It also is supposed to affect
the use of fat in the body as energy, I'm not sure how.

2005-09-16 Thread FRANK CUNS-RIAL

Betsy, My one cent
I suspect that as silver(whether atomic or ionic ) makes its way into the
stomach, it'll be reduced to silver chloride.
It would be a different story when it is absorbed directly into the blood
stream.
I would also suspect that silver proteinates are too large to enter easily
via the mucosa and thus colloidal would hold an advantage there.
Most minerals find carrier proteins to ferry them along to the cells and as
such and thus the principle is sound. Obviously the protein and the silver
are brought apart by the acid and enzymes in the stomach.
So it looks like just another way of getting silver into the body and I
don't see any benefit (other than eliminating the much FDA sought after
colloidal bad silver termSilver proteinate sounds different, doesn't
it?

I have recently been reading cautions about taking
aspirin for stroke prevention and then abruptly
halting its usage. Apparently it can cause strokes if
you stop using it. More research is being done on
this. People usually stop using it before dental
surgeries or any surgeries two weeks prior to surgery.
Some natural blood thinners would be digestive
enzymes, fish oil and garlic. I dont know if the same
would hold true with storkes if you stopped using
these products.
The person who has kidney stones in feet, might want
to research uric acid. I have read where cherry juice
(natural of course) is good for this condition. I have
not used it myself thou.
Last but not least, I had a question regarding silver
protein. I have asked this before but have never
recieved an answer. Proponents of silver protein claim
that it is safe due to the the fact that it is silver
atoms which avoid large clumping of silver as opposed
to silver ions. There has been much controversy about
this matter . Those that advocate silver proteins
usage also state that silver protien is better at
curing infections than ionic silver. Lots of people
seem to use silver protein with no problems. I would
really appreciate hearing from someone on this matter
as I notice that more companies are including silver
protein in their anti infective supplement department

Re: CSDamaging silver

2005-08-21 Thread FRANK CUNS-RIAL

List,
For the shake of accuracy we should clarify that there is a difference
between a mineral and a metal.
In nature, pure metals react with, i.e. acids to form minerals such as i.e.
Copper sulfate, Silver chloride, or Potassium nitrate. These are minerals.
Non- reactive metals such as gold and platinum and to a lesser degree
silver, do not react readily and can be found in its free state as metals.
Silver will react readily only with strong compounds such as oxygen
(tarnish), and strong acids acids such as Nitric or Hydrochloric.
Silver does not react readily with other less ionized or agressive compounds
and for that reason is considered a noble metal.
The mineral contains (other than impurities), a cationic side or metallic
side and an anionic side or acid, etc

When minerals are stripped of the anionic portion, you obtain the metal.
When a mineral of this kind is placed in a solution, and in the presence of
two poles of DC current, each portion will migrate to a different pole. The
cation or metallic portion, charged positively, will migrate toward the
negatively charged pole, and the anionic or non-metal portion, charged
negatively, will migrate to the positive pole. The pole attracting the
cations is called the cathode and the pole attracting the anions is called
the anode.

Many ultra pure-metals are refined using this electrolitic principle
Sucessive purification steps will lead to an ultra pure silver metal, such
as 99.999% or better.
This kind of ultra-pure silver still contains 10 ppm of impurities! Keep
this in mind when trying to ascertain where colors, cloudiness and other
precipitates come from!

Carolyn said,
What damages CS? I have been told that air and
sunlight will damage CS. Is there anything else? What
about heat? Like boiling it for coffee, etc. And also
how does it damage it, like killing off the silver?

Carolyn, silver is just a mineral, it cannot be
killed. Neither air nor sunlight nor heat nor cold
*damages* silver. With the low-voltage CS that most
folks on this list make, direct exposure to sunlight
or freezing CS can make *some* of the silver particles
fall out of the water and sink to the bottom (at least
after it thaws), but that doesn't *damage* it, nor
make it unusable nor dangerous. When high voltage is
used to make it, neither sunlight nor freezing have
any affect on it. I make coffee with CS everyday. I
cook freely with it, freeze it in ice cubes and juice
popsickles and otherwise use it just like water.

You do not need to be careful with CS, as long as it
is clear-colored and made only with distilled water
and pure silver. Even using mineral water only means
that the CS won't usually be clear. Yes, we discuss
avoiding making silver-compounds (using water with
other minerals in it), but that's because we are
purists. Missionaries in 3rd-world countries are
making it with water from places like the Ganges river
(very polluted), and no one has turned blue yet. In
fact, they make CS in their water in order to sanitize
it.

I had a client once for whom I assembled a small
CS-maker to help him with his health problems -
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, gastro-intestinal issues,
etc. He set it up with 8 oz of tap water (in spite of
my instructions) and went to bed and forgot about it.
The next morning, one of the silver wires was
completely dissolved, and the CS looked like dark
brown coffee. He drank the whole 8 oz all at once (put
the equivalent of 5 of silver wire into himself). He
had a rush of energy like he said he hadn't had in
years, and his gastro-intestinal problems (cramps with
every meal, extreme constipation) went away that day.

Now I wouldn't suggest anyone do that every day, but
this stuff is so safe, folks!

List, Acid reflux can be caused by too little or too much acid. It is
important to know which of these two conditions is causing the reflux.
If atfer a meal you take 100 ml lemon juice (1:1 water) and find relief, you
have low stomach acidity. If it worsens you have acidity.
Most of the time, lack of acid is caused by not ingesting chloride salts,
the anion needed to form hydrochloric acid and/or lack of H ions. Salting
the food lightly with table salt corrects the problem. Eating more seafood,
sea vegetables and shellfish will do the same naturally.
Most older people, although they experience reflux, lack acidity. The
inmediate solution is to take Betaine Hydrochloride, while investigating the
reasons for the deficit.

the acid reflux,- eat celery! Yes, keep celery on hand and eat some and

bring

your chemistry back to normal very quickly. Do not confuse this with table

I can't speak for asthma, but I have had great results using the

needed to take it virtually every day, and even then, there were some

I began to try EFT after learning about it in order to help a grandchild
with a severe problem with social anxiety. (There was an immediate
remarkable 'turnaround' in her which alone makes the technique worth its
weight in diamonds to me.) But...about the gastric reflux. I began
tapping for that. Within a few days -- a week at most -- I realized that
the heartburn was not bothering me at all anymore. That was several
weeks

ago -- perhaps a month -- and I have not had reflux since. I now take a
probiotic pearl from Dr. Williams (Alternatives) when I remember to do
so,

just because I feel we need that extra help to normalize our digestive
tracts. If I overindulge in a favorite food and begin to get a little
twinge reminiscent of the reflux, I simply chew a piece of gum for a

little
while, and that's all. What a huge relief. I had it so bad that my

it. All these years, I was unwilling to use the meds the doctor wanted

Magnetized water and changes in pH? I don't think so. To change the pH one
needs to shift the ratio of ionic oxygen to ionic Hydroxil ( O and OH)
relative to the amount of non-ionized water H2O. This is a chemical or
eletrochemical reaction and requires a certain amount of energy to happen.
Magnetism may disrup the molecular shape, may even arrange it but I don't
believe it can break up the strong chemicals bonds to disassociate a water

Folks,

I built a so-called water magnetizer and did some experiments. I used two
very strong magnetron magnets (from microwave ovens). The North poles
were
facing each other on oposite side of a plastic bottle about 3 inches
thick.

I added room temperature filtered tap water and let it sit in the magnetic
field overnight. I sloshed the water around a few times while it was
being

magnetized.

Using two different ranges of pH paper, I measured the before and after pH
of the water. Out of the tap it measured a bit below 7. The
disappointing
thing was that the after Magnetizing the water measured exactly the
same -

there was no change in pH.

So, either my experimental technique is wrong, or the concept of
magnetized water is a bunch of hooey. I am thinking the latter, but
welcome your comments.

I will make one more run with N S poles facing each other to see if
makes

any difference.

As an aside, I have proven for myself that passing a DC current (10-12 ma)
through plain tap water does result in a change in pH. I used two plastic
containers with holes in each container with a porous membrane (artificial
chamois) clamped between the holes. After an overnight run, the two
containers that started with water with a pH of about 7 ended up about 8
(slightly alkaline) and 6 (slightly acid). However, after half an hour or
so, both containers reverted back to being about 7 again.

So, list members, what are the safe, economical ways to make stable
alkaline

water?

getting the response we would like but, on the other hand, information is
power. We will know better who NOT to vote for in future elections, and who out
there is actually representing the American people.

I was watching C-Span yesterday. CAFTA didn't come up for a vote because they
didn't have the votes they needed to pass it. I did hear that it is promised to
come up before the month is up. This means that there will be more arm twisting
to get representatives to sign on to the agreement, so we need to keep the
pressure up. The Republican leaders have the power to decide what comes up on
the floor for a vote. When things get delayed it means they don't yet have the
votes in the bag.

One of the best sites I have found that gives people essential information

I have writen Mr. Bolen asking him to detail the legislative or other path
that can be taken to disband our rights under DSHEA if any international
treaty regarding supplements is signed by the US. I have asked others in the
past and received emotional appeals and conspirational theories but nothing
else. Once I receive a rational explanation I'll make up my mind.
I worked very hard in Mass. to organize the petition drive and was able to
submit thousands of letters to our legislators in support of DSHEA.
I remember when Pharma wanted to amend DSHEA to shift the burden of proof to
the industry and when just recently Durbin/Clinton/Kennedy wanted to amend
it by adding an adverse effect tracking clause and make the industry
responsible for such tracking. The number of letters and emails in both
cases was so huge that they quickly realized the kind of support this
freedom enjoys in this country and they withdrew. They are the enemy within
and they are the ones we must control, because we can.
We must redirect our efforts to be extremely vigilant about our legislators
actions and weigh on them constantly and vigorously.

If anyone knows better please let me hear from you.
I ask for the forbereance of our moderator in ths issue. Is of such

If you don't have speakers, not to worry- here was the gist of my
message:

CAFTA is in political trouble in the House. The Hispanic Caucus recently

came out against it, saying that its bad for central America AND for the
USA. Its pretty hard for Bush to do spin against the stats from the FAILED
NAFTA Agreement- our trade deficit is up to $617 Billion, but beyond that,
the jobs that initially went do Mexico have since all gone to even CHEAPER
sources of third world labor in China, and elsewhere- and the same thing
would happen in Central America.

The Washington Post is calling this too close to call and says CAFTA

could come down to ONE SINGLE VOTE in the House. So our calls and emails
actually MATTER, and it REALLY helps when we get face to face meetings as
I

did yesterday and as some of you have also been getting with your
congressmen. Tomorrow would be your last chance to meet with them in
person

before they return, and you should make the effort. In any case, please DO
take the ACTION recommended below:

On the HEALTH FREEDOM/ CAFTA FRONT:

Yesterday I drove down to Bellingham WA and attended a Town Mtg run by my
congressman, Rick Larsen. He already opposes CAFTA, but I'm hoping he
might
make a floor statement against it on the House floor which airs our
concerns

as dietary supplement consumers given the danger posed by the SPS language
lurking within it.

All its going to take is one or more Congressmen to air our concern from

the House floor to put them ALL on notice that if they vote for CAFTA
they'll be touching the THIRD RAIL and committing political SUICIDE by
angering millions of vitamin consumers who wield huge impact at the ballot
box.

I told Larsen we were working hard to interest congressmen De Fazio and

Paul to issue a Dear Colleague letter and to make floor statements to
insure that members of the House realize that millions of vitamin
consumers

who flooded congress in '94 during the campaign to pass DSHEA will not
tolerate CAFTA or anyone who votes for it.

I made him aware that Section 6 of CAFTA would require the USA to form a

Sanitary Phytosanitary Measures Committee for the purpose of insuring that
we entered into a constant process of harmonizing our laws under the terms
of the SPS Agreement in the WTO.

I told him that Article 3 of the WTO's SPS Agreement requires us to

harmonize our food safety laws (read DSHEA) to Codex standards. It states
To harmonize sanitary and phytosanitary measures on as wide a basis as
possible, Members SHALL base their food safety measures on international
standards, guidelines or recommendations. (Codex sets the standards for
food safety, including vitamins and minerals.)

I handed him information that I'd previously sent to his aide and

Dear Mrs. :

Thank you for writing to express your concerns regarding the
Codex Alimentarius legislation proposed under the World Trade
Organization (WTO). I appreciate the time you took to write.

I understand your serious concern regarding this issue. As you
know, the WTO is an international body which addresses the rules of
trade between countries. At its heart are the WTO agreements,
negotiated and signed by the bulk of the world's trading nations, which
provide the legal ground-rules for international commerce. They are
essentially contracts, binding governments to keep their trade policies
within agreed limits.

The availability of dietary supplements to the public is
important, but it is equally important that these supplements do not put
the consumer's health at stake. I believe that if we are to ensure the
safety of those who consume dietary supplements, we must make sure
that these supplements are not hazardous to their health. We cannot
allow deaths, such as those caused by the dietary supplement Ephedra, to
continue. Please know that I will continue to monitor the work of the
WTO and be sure to keep your thoughts in mind as I do so.

I believe it is important to note here that she points out specifically to
the few deaths caused by dietary supplement Ephedra, to
continue as the rationale to protect the people . Specifically in this case
ephedra was a concentrated isolated standardized form of a common herb. This
phyto--Pharmacia was used and promoted in a way in which the herb by itself
would never be used for. Herbalist have always cautioned in its use and was
not for long term use. IN EFFECT this phyto--Pharmacia ephedra was
responsible for killing and injuring people and while the simple whole herb,
ephedra - got the blame. How could anyone make such a simple mistake? . Just as
if one took the simple herb foxglove isolated, concentrated and standardized it
into DIGITALIS it would be a drug and it as all drugs would kill people. Or
where making a simple tea from the simple herb St John's Wort be as effective
as the Anti-depressive drugs (and without side affects) yet when St John's
Wort was concentrated isolated and standardized blamed on liver failure. YET
there are no reported cases of the herb ma huang (ephedra) or the herb St
John's Wort being associated with death or even injury !!!

Where both Ma Huang and St John's Wort grow wild and may be made as a simple
tea that offers relief quickly and affective it does take certain degree of
expertise and expensive equipment to produce a concentrated, standardized
isolation of a single ingredient. Then to market and promote such a product
without any concerns of known reactions. ... .who would profit from such
madness ...

Ephedra - which was sold and marketed in Health Food Stores across the USA as
a isolated, standardized concentrated extract was specifically promoted and
marketed as a street drug. All those involved in this action knew it was speed.
They also knew speed helped reduce the appetite (lose weight) and gave one lots
of energy. It was also aimed at kids and ALL those involved in this knowingly
were selling drugs. BTW, you can still LEGALLY BUY Ephedra at your local
__drugstore__. Its over the counter (no prescription needed) Sudafed (and a few
other brand names)

Nenah,
Nothing further from my mind that argue a pointless issue but I need to
remind you that the same type of sentiment was running when we signed into
WTO.

I remember the chinese are going to tell us what to do.. and so on.
Nenah, I have been in the supplelement business for ten years (ex-chemist in
my previous corporate career), I belong to their associations, know most of
the principals, meet with them at seminars, conferences, etc, consult for
some and nobody is attaching any significance to the Codex or Cafta as a
threat to our domestic liberties.
I did call Mel Martinez's office (senator) and asked once again what would
the effect be and the legal advisor expressed a similar view. These treaties
are to regulate our traffic to them not to control our internal affairs.
Only Congress can act to rescind or modify DSHEA.
I make my living formulating, consulting and selling supplements and I am
not concerned by Codex. Europeans are under the authority of Codex and they
deserve it because for many years they have been scolding us for our liberal
approach to supplements and giving us the same falacious argument as the
dieticians in this country use, namely that a balanced diet supplies the
necessary nutrients,,,
Keep also in mind that in Germany, England and France the Homeopathic
medicine is going to boom.
Rath thought to gain reverse momentum to affect Rome's meeting by
capitalizing on our freedoms. Unfortunatelly it did not work.
I must say that some countries such as Indonesia, Philipines, etc are
presently using much tighter rules than Codex and thus they represent an
opportunity for more imports from US.
What will do our industry in, is the enemy within Many schools of
Naturpopathy are no more than alopathics using natural remedies. They
believe in remedying, rather than curing. They use herbals not to cure but
to manage disease. Is a trade off of synthetics for natural compounds but
the underlying healing philosophy is much different from that of the
tradicional naturistic physicians.
Be aware of schools emerging all over offering two years of weekend training
for MD allopaths to get a degree in naturopathy.
The NIH has a definite agenda to destroy us by accepting to run studies
(double-blinds, placebo controlled, multicenter, etc.) on specific
supplements against specific diseases. Those who submit to that approach are
totally unaware of biochemical individuality and pretend to gain the seal of
approval of the NHI for commercial purposes. Many fail and they blame the
establishment. Fools. They are the ones who make money peddling compounds
but they have no idea about their physiological dynamics.
These are the folks that are doing us in together with the the FDA-AMA-FTC
cartel and our fury and discust should be primarily directed against them.

But then, that is just my opinion
PS I'll never feel shouted at by you.

NO NO NO! This is not true. If CAFTA (another treaty) is signed,
this will be the final nail in the coffin. The US will be bound to accept
the INTERNATIONAL STANDARD rather than its own laws. International
standards will SUPERSEDE our own sovereignty.

This is why CODEX is so insidious.

A different scenario is that of pharmas buying into the Nutraceutical
industry. This has been going on for a while. Health From the Sun, a fine
fatty-acid producer has been purchased by Arko-Pharma and Solgar a solid
producer of synthetic vitamins has been also bought by another pharma co.and
now, I hear, is being offered for sale again.
I have good contacts with manufacturers like Jarrow, Nutrceuticasl, Solaray,
Biotics, Apex, amonsgt many, many others who will remain faithful to the
supplement industry until the offers will get high enough. That is not what
they are saying but everyone has a price.
I have felt for the longest time that the only ultimate solution s to form a
manufacturing cooperative large enough to justify the expense and controlled
by the members.
However, the FDA is now in the process of reviewing the Good Manufactring
Practices for Dietary supplement manufacturers. They are a lot tougher than
those applied to the food industry and very close to the pharmaceutical
standards. Many smaller firms will collapse under the weight of the
regulation and paperwork.
I work with a small manufaturer in Miami, NNFA approved (industry's own
approval) He has been making products for me for the last 10 years but he
fears he is not going to survive the upcoming GMP.

I don't agree. They have bought into to it to limit their losses. But they
would much rather sell $500 in prescription medicine at a 5,000% markup,
then

$10 in supplements with a 50% markup. That way they $490.00 instead of
$5.00.

Marshall,
I hope your reasoned response is correct. However, my understanding is
that supplements will now undergo an incredible markup even higher than
their cost now.

I am actively investigating alternatives to most (if not all) supplements,
since I don't want to support the pharmaceutical companies or doctors.

Hi angelnest.
Your calculations are correct.
I do not know about the accuracy of the thresholds used in Europe.
I personally think that 8 oz a day of 20 ppm CS for a lifetime is an absurd
requirement. You might need to take 8 oz a day for a few days to deal with a
critical condition, but a lifetime..?
I take one ounce of 5 ppm a day divided in several doses, when I need it.
I do not know of any therapeutic preventive value of CS but if so I would never

What about this statement in one of Michael's emails...
The US-EPA publishes an oral reference dose (RfD) that
is based on a threshold for certain toxic effects such
as cellular necrosis. In units of micrograms per kg
per day and is an estimate of the maximum amount of
daily silver exposure that is not associated with any
deleterious effects over a lifetime. Current RfD for
oral silver exposure is 5 micrograms per kg per day.
  An average (european) 70 kg man: = 350 µg/day

That means that my 4.8mg-4800mcg daily is about 1500% more than the safe
daily dose !! I'm about 50kg ~105lbs, so I should only be consuming 250mcg,
right ???

To convert part per million (by weight) into miligrams in 8 oz. do the
following:

One fluid oz.of CS equals about 30 grams.
8 oz. of CS is therefore 240 grams in which you have 20 ppm.
The grams of silver contained in your 8 oz,
20x240/100=0.0048 gr or 4.8 miligrams.
This asumes that the specific gravity of a ppm CS dispersion is 1.00.
Hope it hels

2/Grapefruit seed extract (GSE conc)15 drops in 8 oz of distilled water 5x a

3/ CS 5-10 ppm 1 oz.x5 a day. Swirl in your mouth for one minute then
swallow. Make sure you have no metal objects in your mouth (dentures, etc)
If caps try to avoid touching CS.

4/Oil of Oregano extract caps (Biotics ADP) 3x3
5/ Candida diet. amply discussed already.
6/ The above protocol for two months. Follow with strong probiotics for one
month 3Billionx6 before retiring to recolonize.

Candida will not go away but will arrest it for sure.
One very common problem is re-contamination. Treat with sex partner the same

exception of organic rye or spelt.(nothing added) No whole wheat
products. No potatoes, no mushrooms.( nothing with starch or mold) no
peanut butter. That includes certain nuts as well. I was allowed to eat
almonds. Moderately ( skin can be toxic in large quantities)NO
DIARY,(butter was ok preferably a natural butter substitute ( can't
remember the name ) I just used butter myself. no coffee,( I cheated a
little ). NO ALCHOHOL, I was taking whole psyllium husks, to compensate
for the drop in fibre intake. Also took human Microflora. EFA as well.
Multi vitamin 3 times daily. No soy products, no corn products either
(also contain mold). Some thought I was crazy especially during the
summer months..To much temptation for a good time. :-)
I succeeded though.

Keep in mind I was taking other things because I also had to adjust and

Take Colloidal Silver as directed on the label or 10 oz per day
Garlic (Kyolic from Wakunaga) 2 caps 3 times a day
Vitamin C plus bioflavonoids 1000 mg daily

Check with your pharmacist for the Bayer N-Multistix reagent strips home

Subject: RE: CScystitis

If and after infection is ruled out with a culture, consider learning more
about INTERSTITIAL CYSTITIS (IC). If you do take antibiotics, make sure
they culture and do a sensitivity test on what antibiotic to use, if you
go that route. It would be nice if they could do a sensitivity test with
CS, but I don't know of any labs that would test. Bladder infections are
more easily treated, but if it spread to your kidney it is much more
serious and difficult to treat, it also depends greatly on the type of
bacteria.

Vaginal yeast infections are also very painful and cause the pain
associated with cystitis, many times after I am treated for yeast,
cystitis is better. A good preventive for yeast is , Flora Q, it has
several types of friendly bacteria, can be bought in some drug stores and
most health supplement stores.

I have had interstitial cystitis and vulvodynia for several years. I was
(mis-treated) and misdiagnosed for urinary infections (cystitis) for
years. The urine specimen would generally show a few white cells and red
blood cells, so the average doctor would think it was an infection and
give me a week of antibiotics. I would go back after finishing a round of
antibiotics, with no relief, they would send the culture off, then call me
to say I did not have any infections, and basically no relief or answers.

After about 5 years of misery, three urologist, many antibiotics, and two
family doctors, I finally found a urologist in 1999 that figured out what
was wrong with me, and treated me, and knew about INTERSTITIAL CYSTITIS.
They immediately found I had inflamed bladder, very damaged, and certain
cells that are diagnostic of IC and I was treated with much relief with
DMSO. The treatment has changed some over the years, but I do get relief.
Antibiotics can actually make IC worse if you do not have infection.
However; it is always important to get a culture to rule out IC if you do
find this is your problem. If I went to a doctor that was not familiar
with IC and they looked at my urine on any given day (without sending it
off for a culture), they would declare I had a really bad urinary tract
infection and send me home with antibiotics.

I do not know if CS is ever used with IC treatments, but I am sure someone
on the list could tell you. I have heard others mention using CS with
DMSO.

Diet also helps considerably with IC, the cranberry juice that many people
recommend for actual infections only exacerbates IC, anything acid is
irritating to an inflamed bladder. You can get online and check out diets
that help with bladder and vulva irritation. There is a product called
Prelief, over the counter, mostly calcium, that helps tremendously if you
take it before meals when you do eat something that irritates the bladder.
Carbonated beverages, caffeine, and highly acidic foods are irritating for
most IC sufferers.

The cause is not completely understood, it can be caused from exposures,
possibly autoimmune related, virus, hidden bacteria, fungal infections,
still mostly speculation.

It is VERY important that you do get cultures done to rule out infection
or find out what kind you have and what the bacteria is sensitive to. I
have had a few urinary tract infections, that were treated successfully
with macrobid, it especially formulated for bladder and is much more
easily tolerated than cipro and other antibiotics I have taken. When a
urinary tract infection spreads to the kidney it is really a serious
problem, so again, get cultured!

With interstitial cystitis (IC), it is hard to distinguish between a
urinary tract infection, or IC because generally you feel like you have a
urinary tract infection. Most people with IC have frequent urination,
especially at night. I have also found that lidocaine gel works when it
is an IC flare-up to treat the pain topically when vulvodynia is flared up
as well. I have also had my urologist to use lidocaine with DMSO or other
installations, I can do them at home also. But, I try to have a culture
once a month just to make sure I am not getting an infection.

Hope this helps, I put off getting a culture last fall, felt sure it was
IC and ended up with a really bad kidney infection and had to be
hospitalized for a week with IV antibiotics, hope I never have to do that
again. The infection can quickly spread throughout your body once it
enters the kidneys.

Re: CSionizable magnesium?

2005-06-17 Thread FRANK CUNS-RIAL
Rowena,
I don't know what ionizable magnesium could mean, but I'll tell you that
magnesium is a divalent metal that has the tendency to bind chemically via
ionic bonding with strong acids such as nitric, sulphuric, hydrochloric forming
salts known as magnesium nitrite, magnesium sulgate and magnesium chloride
respecitively. This type of bond, where an electron donor and an electron
acceptor share electrons is known as an ionic bond. It is a weak bond and in
fact when you dissolve magnesium sulphate, for example, in water the bond
weakens to the point that the magnesium ion splits from the salt and exists in
ionic form in concenrt with equally but opposite charged sulphate ions (charged
atoms).
From that standpoint, magnesium is an ionizable metal.
Magnesium can also react with other weak acids such as gluconate forming a
different type of bond, much stronger covalent bond, that does not split or
ionize in water.
I hope I made sense.

Can anyone tell me what ionizable magnesium might be?

  http://www.coldcure.com/html/dep.html#codex said As previously mentioned,
magnesium regulates many nerve receptors, such as NMDA or 5-HT3. When
inadequately regulated due to magnesium deficiency, those receptors cause
fibromyalgia pain and increase sleep deprivation, further worsening magnesium
deficiency. Fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome are often not diagnosed
by internists, rather they conduct multiple expensive tests to rule out other
possibilities. These painful symptoms are always predictive of major health
problems in the future including cardiac trouble and depression if not treated
with ionizable magnesium at about 200 mg three to four times a day.

  Any links or info, anyone?

distinguish between atomic, molecular or otherwise.
There may be other types but the classical one, If I remember correctly,
reduces all metals to the ionic plasma state and measures their specific
electronic behavior.
If my memory serves right, AA should measure all silver present in the sample.

I use color spectrometry for determining the silver content as well.
Although
the spectrophotometer only measures ionic content, you can easly measure
the
colloidal content as well if the sample is properly prepared. I use
nitric acid
to digest the colloidal portion to silver nitrate before making the

so as to get a measurement of the entire silver content. Samples that I

 Hi Rich,

Here are the test results and some necessary commentary.

Spectrophotometry is a commercial color test for measuring the amount
 of

silver ions lost in the wash water of the silver plating industry,

Since 1989 I have made over 800 tests for silver ions. The human body
cannot use silver colloids, only silver ions that combine with to
 form

compound. You do not make colloidal silver. What you make is a silver
 hydro-sol or a silver solution.

 Four tests were made:
#1. One drop of Microdyn in one liter of DW. indicated ionic content
 is

 0.33 PPM.
#4. Seven drops added to the about (suggested use was to wash
 vegetables

 or fruits)
measured ionic content 2.2 PPM. which correlates well with #1
 (0.33x8= 2.64)
#2. One cc of Microdyne in 50 c DW (standard test for silver ions),
 when

 mixed with the
reagent chemicals a bright red color produced indicating a high
 ionic content.
When 500/1 solution was added to bleach it turned black. (it
 should

 have become
colorless). Diluting the remaining red solution 2/1 it became
 colorless. It should have
  been less red. Something wrong.
#3. Test #2 two repeated, but when adding the solution to the reagent
 chemicals a foam
developed. (never seen this before) The mix became a very dark
 red

 indicating high ionic
content. The 50/1 solution was diluted to 200/1 so that the
 product

 would be in the test
equipment measuring range. The test proceeded normally and
 indicated

 a 70 PPM
  ionic silver content.

For the newbies a European greenhouse test showed that a 20-40 PPB
 (billion) was very
effective in eliminating cucumber Mosaic and the owner reported that
 he

had need seen such large cucumbers.

The Hawkins Jensen report of several years ago showed that a 3 PPM
 was 10

to 50 times more effective that 10 or 20 PPM in invitro testing of
 bacteria and virus.

2005-06-13 Thread FRANK CUNS-RIAL
The effects of Gymmema in the hypoglycemicare a complex issue.
Gymmena works in more than one way. In addition to stimulating the pancreas to
elicit more insulin (probably by increasing membrane permeability) It is
therefore important to control the amounts taken so not to overdue this
production. Gymmena has been taken for over 2000 years by diabetics and it has
a remarkable track record of safety. The action of Gymmema also removes excess
of corticosteroid metabolites from the body reducing their deleterous
effects.Additionally, it may regenerate the islets of Langerhans and reduce the
amount of glucose absortion.
Modern formulas attenuate the effect of its ingredients by incorporating
modulators such as Chromium and Vanadium compounds.
It is also important to understand the physiology of diabetes II or non-insulin
dependent.
Insulin is pumped out into the blood stream in two separate burts. The first
burst is stored insulin previously produced by the pancreas. This burst occurs
within minutes of ingesting any meal (this includes proteins )
Hypoglycemics eat constantly and thus may deplete this storage. When a large
meal comes along there may not be sufficient insulin to take care of the
quickly burning carbohydrates.
This may produce a rise in glucose, after the meal (pospandrial), depending on
the size and composition of the meal and the remaining stored insulin.
The second burst is freshly produced during the ensuing 2-3 hours after the
meals. This process is easily traceable by a test knwon as GTT (glucos
tolerance test) which tracks the above dynamics typical of a tipe II. Thus, it
follows that is not necessarily clear whether the hypoglycemic is suffering
from an excess of insulin at all times during this process.
Alopathics, in their attempt to standardize and measure everything and
everybody do come up with simplistic definitions like hypoglycemics are sugar
deficient. In reality, hypoglycemics are unable to control glucose within a
narrow range.
I believe that the small amount of Gymmema being used to control sporadic
excesses as well as disposing of corticosteriodal material produced by the
adrenal glands in response to excessive glucose, is beneficial.
Excessive compsumption of Gymmema extracts should be avoided and monotherapy
carefully tracked.

CSconductivity

2005-04-28 Thread FRANK CUNS-RIAL
The conductivity of a solution depends on the numner of positive and negative
ions (cations and anoins) that the solution contains and their relative
electricl strenght. It is also temperture dependent. The PPM referes to the
parts per million of any ONE soluble molecule. It is a measure of
concentration, while the conductivity is an electrical measurement. They are
not related in any way, except that if you have a solution of a single known
ion, the conductivity can be calculated.

CSsilver and peroxide

2005-04-28 Thread FRANK CUNS-RIAL
It seems to me that adding peroxide (a strong oxidizer) to a free metal
suspension, it would simply oxidize an amount of silver to silver oxide a black
compound.
