I use it (CS a couple of oz) in my Humidifier all Winter long. It holds about 5 gallons, I just pour some in each time I fill the 2 jugs. it keeps the tank from growing any thing, I do not clean tank till end of season use. If I want CS in air I put it in my nebulizer. When I have any thing in my chest usually 1 session of 10 minutes knocks it out. I only change my media pad in humidifier when it gets too crusted with minerals to work (about every month or so) when Humidifier will not keep up. CSWater Distiller
Pulled this off Net To distill water all you need is a bucket with water, some plastic wrap, and some type of jar or cup. Suspend the jar in the center of the bucket, above the water level. Then place the plastic wrap on top of the bucket. Put some type of weight on the plastic wrap in the center so it bends down and forms a cone. (the tip of the cone should be pointed directly into the jar that is in the bucket) Then place this in the sun. The water should evaporate and condense on the plastic wrap, drip down the cone shape, and fall into the jar. That is distilled water. My hole is right on edge I do not always fill water to the silver wire, when I do not have a problem. I have a Love distiller that I use but I only put in 3 instead of 4 quarts water. If I fill more it seems to boil some of the minerals into the condenser on top. No build up I have a unit that switches Polarity every 60 seconds. I basically never clean any thing, I just filter the CS through 3 brown coffee filter papers. I also have several home made generators using a low voltage DC source and a Current limiting Diode (around 1 Mill amp). On these I just wipe off silver and still run through the filters. The thing about small DC power sources are I have a 9 Volt that puts out close to 24 volts DC at 1 Mill Amp draw. When you look at rating on power supply the voltage rating is at the Listed current draw. Less draw means higher voltage. Been looking for a 24 volt DC at around 1000 Mill amps to see how high the voltage is. These are the cheap powers supply not all will spike real high. The current limiters are just 2 to 4 dollars and the powers supplies are available all over for a few bucks, sometimes less than a dollar at Flea Markets, or swap meets. For $5 you can build a CS generator with current control. It is interesting to watch using a volt meter as coins are moved closer together the voltage goes down to limit current to rating on limiters. As you move silver apart voltage goes up. The max voltage is at no flow, but 1 mill amp is so little current the voltage drops vary little. The 9 volt power supply I have puts out close to 24 volts at 1 mill amp and is only around 1 volt or less higher at no current flow ( by no current flow I meant just the meter between wire ends). Some day I will have to sit down and draw how to connect up a current limiter and make a less than $5 CS generator. I bought a couple Dozen of current limiters in various sizes .5 to 1.5 Mill amps just to have around for emergencies or some that wants a cheap generator. Bob **Pt...Have you heard the news? CSCanadian Maple leaf coins
How long and to what temperature would you have to heat Canadian Maple Leaf coins to get the silver back to soft silver. My understanding it is hard from the stamping (working), silver gets hard from working it. If I melt it and pour into a flat sheet would it be soft. Maple Leaf coins are cheapest way to buy pure silver. I live across the border from our Canadian Neighbors. For my Canadian Neighbors where do you buy the coins at. I wonder if it would be worth my trouble to go over to buy some coins as E Bay seems high. How much are coins over in Canada. Do you get them in Bank or where. Too bad they do not have them at the Duty Free store as we stop there when we go over fishing. You are suppose to stay for 24 hours but if you get only a bottle per person and declare it we do not get taxed. More and we probably would get taxed. CSCS in boot inserts
Well over a year ago I sprayed the inside of my boot liners (cold weather thin soles). To date I wear the boot liner every evening around the house, as slippers. I have the one ankle that gets cold and stars to hurt (left one). Went for tests on circulation and both legs are fine and the left one that gives me a problem is actually a little bit better on circulation. I like the machine, I never clean the silver coins I use. When it switches polarity the stuff falls off the coins. I just strain through 4 brown coffee filters (a slow drip through filters). I use a plastic tube with a plastic valve on end and regulate flow to drip through multi filters. I brew a gallon at a time it takes a long time depending whether I seed the brew (with some CS). I also use something that stirs the brew, the jar sits on top a rotating magnet. You put a short piece of plastic tube with a metal roller bearing in brew jar and you can see it rotate around mixing the brewing CS. I use Canadian Maple Leaf coins hung on S hooks made from some 99.99 wire I bought from one of the members on this site. I also purchased the stirring device from one of the members also. I have experimented by making my own CS brewer using a DC power source and a 1 mill amp diode current limiter. I made some brewers for friends, when I first started I bought 2 of the Colloidal Masters so I would have a spare. Any constant current brewer is interesting to watch using a volt meter as you can see voltage change when you move silver closer or further apart. The constant Mill Amp limiter changes voltage up or down (with in limits of power source) to matins the rating of the limiter. I have a 5 gallon old glass water jug filled with CS (emergency supply) or is I need a quick gallon to give away. I have a plastic 2 gallon jug with a spick et for use as I need the CS. I use CS in my holding tank (waste) on boat (from head, toilet). I can go some times 2 to 3 months before I need a pump out and it does not smell even in the hot Weather. I have pain in my left ankle when it gets cold. I usually does not get cold during day at work. In evening sitting around in evening it gets cold and starts to hurt. I had a circulation test done it was good as a fact left leg was slightly better than right (go figure). I have arthritis, I had X-rays they show nothing. I take several Meds. Advair Diskus for my as ma, terazosin for blood pressure, triamterene/hctz cap, lipitor for cholesterol, tramadol hcl tab for arthritis and a 24 antihistamine (and nasal spray). I also take allergy shots on a regular basis and Venom shots as I am allergic to bees, wasps and hornets. I do use my nebulizer at least once a week with CS in it. This ancle pain is annoying, could it just be from the arthritis? I am open to ideas and solutions. I have a pair of thermal boot inserts I wear as slippers around the house and to bed. At night I can get away with just covering my left leg (with boot insert on) this keeps leg warm and stops pain. Even Motrin 800 do not stop the anchle from hurting. I have a constant low current generator, I just ran it for a long time. Who knows how the silver clumped together. Well just wiser now. I still take the CS, but it is less volume and under 5 PPM. I may try brewing it at 2 PPM for a while. One of the things I use CS in is a couple of TBS in a gallon of milk will usually double the shelf life (I do not drink a lot of milk). I will have to ask at work on the unusual format but I would bet it has some to do with their security format. Some times I do not receive the posts at work. Bob **Start the year off right. I have a cheap water distiller ($100). I find the water turns out better if you only fill it with 3 Quarts instead of 4 quarts water. When it is full and boiling I think it is too close to the condenser part on top. You have nothing to lose by distilling 3 Quarts as it takes less power. I have gas hot water so I use hot water from tap. Gas is cheaper than electric at least where I am. Hope this helps you got nothing too lose. I would be interested in if this helps for others. I have used several of these in various sizes. It is interesting to watch CS brew with a volt ohm meter and watch the voltage go down. Once you are done brewing you can move your silver closer and farther apart and see the voltage change. Bob

After some one mentioned the silver socks, I looked them up. Not sure how they do it. Is there any silver thread pure enough to sew in socks out there. They did say the they would last 50 washes. I wonder if they are soaking them is a solution of some kind. when ever I looked they were out of big sizes. I have often thought about spraying CS on socks and let it dry. I wonder if you would want a higher PPM count or use the stuff you drink, like 5 PPM. It might depend on how your feet are. I am looking to find some silver thread that would work on sewing in clothes. Any ideas let me here them, I would like to try this out. I just had an Idea what if I used the water from my Dehumidifier in my Distiller. I wonder if I would get less build up in chamber bottom. There should be no minerals and what you get out of air depends on how clean air is in house. I would even be saving water not much but it is water I throw down the drain. Bob

Bought one of those motorized magnetic base stirer for CS. Bought the plastic button for stirring small batches. I also got what looks like a roller bearing and some plastic tubing. Tubing was approx 2 1/2 to 3 inches long, by putting metal bearing in end it swings a big arc in my gallon jar. I love it and highly recommend the stirer for keeping all batches stir ed which helps keep particle size small. Since I had over done it before (gray face) I am taking Selenium and keeping PPM down to 2 on TDS which is provably around 4 PPM. Face did lighten up but feel rest will just take a longer time. Bob

Happy to say some one has already noticed a change for the better in my gray face. I have been on Vitamin E and selenium for only 2 weeks. I bought a stirrer and plan on limiting my CS to 3 or 4 PPM. I have not been off the CS completely but have cut back a lot on strength and quantity. I will reevaluate after after another month or so and keep every one posted. Bob

I do not think the bursitis is from lack of water. I am never with out my 64 ounce mug of ice water. I drink plenty of water each day. The MSN sounds interesting but last time I took it I had a reaction from it. I do use DMSO in small amounts on skin. Bob

I also find that making CS with Canadian Silver Coins 99.99 pure takes longer. Silver is naturally soft except when worked it gets harder and the coins are harder from the stamping. Bob
