Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Artwork, most of it anyway, has disappeared from LMS
I was getting same issue after updating LMS to level you show. I am using piCorePlayer, I went to the LMS tag for a look around and decided to hit the "Update Libs" button (Download and update LMS Binaries and Libraries). After a reboot all is well again, artwork showing. Fair to say I don't understand what happens under the covers but seems to work. If you are using pCP may be of help. I think you are right Michael. I also think that synology developers got angry because Logitech had an erratics policy with the lack of updates before it became an open source product. They were for years on version 7.7.x. It is evident that there are many people who have asked Synology to continue supporting the product, but they have not wanted to continue supporting it. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS can't find my music folder
I finally got to the bottom of this. I had to unmount the automatically mounted USB drive. (umount command) Then modify the fstab file to add a UUID command citing the UUID of the USB drive (obtained by using blkid). in thgere you give it a path to '/mnt/usb' as mine was formatted in NTFS, I had to tell the command what the format was. I simulated a reboot and it all sprang into life. All I need to do now is check that it all remain in place when I reboot ... :) Thanks everyone for your helpful tips. It got me there in the end. You could try typing in the folder name directly. The file browser (LMS) does need permission to browse the /media folder and each of its subfolders, assuming that's where your drive is mounted. It seems possible (to me) that the permission hasn't been set up. By default I would expect it to have that permission. But I don't know how Raspberry Pi OS is doing its automounting, or what permissions it sets. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS can't find my music folder
OK. I'll try to be clear. I have installed the latest Raspberry Pi OS on my Pi4. I installed LMS (the latest - this morning GMT) only on the system. I don't use PiCorePlayer, it caused me grief in the past. LMS installed perfectly OK, and when I used the link to the server (Port 9000), the server web page appeared. It prompted me for my my squeezebox login, which I entered, the next screen was the page for the path to the music files. When I clicked on the 'browse' button, the hierarchical folder browser appeared. However, when I clicked on the 'media' folder nothing was there. Then I realised that I hadn't symbolically linked my music folder on the USB drive. So I created a symbolic link from the USB drive in my /home/pi/Music folder. I can see the link, I can browse the link, I can see all the FLAC files there. However, when I try to find the folder from the LMS server settings page, it doesn't see it! As far as I can tell the folder permissions allow anyone to read/write/delete/execute the folders/files. I am by no means a Linux expert, but I do know my way around Linux, having developed software on Linux platforms previously. What I want to know is my LMS doesn't see the folder, even though it is there and easily accessed from the terminal and the folder window. Thanks, Alan. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS can't find my music folder
what OS have you installed on the rPi? Where does the rPi get your music files from? An attached USB drive? or a NAS, or ???. I think we need more info to help diagnose. *Home:* Pi4B-8GB/pCP8.x/4TB>LMS 8.2.x>Transporter, Touch, Boom, Radio (all ethernet) *Cottage:* rPi4B-4GB/pCP8.x/4TB>LMS 8.2.x>Touch>Benchmark DAC I, Boom, Radio w/Battery (Radio WIFI) *Office:* Win10(64)>foobar2000 *The Wild: *rPi3B+/pCP7.x/4TB>LMS 8.1.x>hifiberry Dac+Pro (LMS & Squeezelite) *Controllers:* iPhone11 & iPadAir3 (iPeng), CONTROLLER, Material Skin, or SqueezePlay 7.8 on Win10(64) *Files:* -Ripping-: dBpoweramp > FLAC; -Post-rip-: mp3tag, PerfectTunes, TuneFusion; -Streaming:- Spotify garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115318 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

are you running piCorePlayer on the rPi. Make sure in the LMS tab that you've got the drive with your music mounted properly. *Home:* Pi4B-8GB/pCP8.x/4TB>LMS 8.2.x>Transporter, Touch, Boom, Radio (all ethernet) *Cottage:* rPi4B-4GB/pCP8.x/4TB>LMS 8.2.x>Touch>Benchmark DAC I, Boom, Radio w/Battery (Radio WIFI) *Office:* Win10(64)>foobar2000 *The Wild: *rPi3B+/pCP7.x/4TB>LMS 8.1.x>hifiberry Dac+Pro (LMS & Squeezelite) *Controllers:* iPhone11 & iPadAir3 (iPeng), CONTROLLER, Material Skin, or SqueezePlay 7.8 on Win10(64) *Files:* -Ripping-: dBpoweramp > FLAC; -Post-rip-: mp3tag, PerfectTunes, TuneFusion; -Streaming:- Spotify garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115318 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS can't find my music folder
Hi all, I had an SD card failure today, and I had to recreate the LMS on my Raspberry Pi 4. LMS is up and running, but when I try to set up the media folder: 35998 It doesn't see the symbolically linked folder in the Music folder. I have checked permissions, and I can see the folder from the raspbian folder explorer. Any ideras? Thanks in advance, Alan. +---+ |Filename: File.png | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=35998| +---+ Alan R's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=64361 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115318 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Players behaving weird after network change
I made some changes to my network yesterday, and now some odd things are going on. For example, my Squeezebox Radio has suddenly stopped showing the clock while turned off, even though it is working, sees the server and has the same display settings as before. What could have caused this? My Squeezebox Classic also now has a dark display. The only thing I changed was to move all LAN clients (including all players) from 192.168.1.x to 192.168.2.x. beneix's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=59783 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115316 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Adding --nomysqueezebox to docker-compose
I don't think that script is being called at all. Perhaps adding (borrowed from slimserver-platforms/debian/logitechmediaserver.init) Code: NAME=squeezeboxserver NEWNAME=logitechmediaserver # Read config file if it is present. if [ -r /etc/default/$NEWNAME ]; then . /etc/default/$NEWNAME elif [ -r /etc/default/$NAME ]; then . /etc/default/$NAME fi And changing the last line to something like Code: su squeezeboxserver -c '/usr/bin/perl /lms/slimserver.pl --prefsdir /config/prefs --logdir /config/logs --cachedir /config/cache --httpport $HTTP_PORT $SLIMOPTIONS' (Perhaps the defaults file should be in the exposed volume /config?)
