Previously Mozilla wrapped text only at white space which made tables containing such links expand too wide, for example. That's certainly a good rationale for modifying the wrapping. So as links are never stored/transmitted with hard breaks, there should be no problems with messages composed in SM2 being read by any well-behaved mail client. Operative term is well-behaved :-). Thus, to summarize, SM2 will: during message compose - 1) hard break text in the message pane based on wrap text setting using white space used as the wrapping delimiter. 2) soft break links in the message pane using special characters (e.g. , /) for the wrapping delimiters for links. during message reading - 3) soft break links/text in the message pane based on pane width. Same delimiters as #1 for text, #2 for links. Actually there are other issues with URL's SM 2.0. For example if I copy this link into SM: http://www.google.com/webhp?complete=0#complete=0hl=enq=ubuntu+%2B*ERROR*+Failed+to+restore+crtc; Notice that the url link stops just after %2B and just before *ERROR*+Failed+to+restore+crtc So, you can't click the link from my msg to bring up the full url; all you will get is the http://www.google.com/webhp?complete=0#complete=0hl=enq=ubuntu+%2B part. Also notice that when SM 2.0 copies a link with spaces in the url: https://help.ubuntu.com/community#Getting to know and work with your system It does the above. However, if you go to the same link with 1.1.18 and copy, you get this: https://help.ubuntu.com/community#Getting%20to%20know%20and%20work%20with%20your%20system Which reminds, me; it's time to revisit: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=475896 [When accessing urls in firefox with %20, it is replaced with a whitespace. Breaks other software if you try to copy-paste part of the url out of firefox] ___ support-seamonkey mailing list support-seamonkey@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey

IN SM1.x click next would actually switch you to the next unread message in next folder (if no more in Folder you are in) the message would be highlighted and you could actually read the text. Is this a Bug, or new feature?? Works for me. try to validate in safe-mode. If it occurs too consider filing a bug. regards Martin How is it you go to safe mode on a Mac? Never Mind there is no safe Mode for Mac without going into Phillip, with SM 2.0, simply hold down the Option key while clicking your Dock icon. This will open in Safe mode, works also for FF 3.5 and TB 3.0. For SM 1.1.18, there is a Terminal command that will open Safe Mode. Lee OK Tried in safe mode. No Change I will have to go back to Bugzilla and add a another screen shot. Its been that way ever since I have switched to SM 2 -- Phillip M. Is there a way to open the URL's, which were sent in email to my Seamonkey email client, in Firefox? Thanks, Serge Well, the logical assumption is that, since SeaMonkey is a suite, a user is unlikely to want to use just the mail/news client without the browser. However, I can certainly see how one might want to. SeaMonkey has a cleaner user interface then TB does, although I am very used to it, so that might explain my feeling. It is pretty easy to disable the mail client fro mailto links, but adding the followning pref in about:config, and setting it to true: network.protocol-handler.external.mailto Unfortunately, adding the following pref and setting it to true: network.protocol-handler.external.http pretty much disables the browser entirely. If that's what you want to do, it would work, but you would have to reset the pref every time you want to use the SeaMonkey browser. Short of such a drastic step, there is no easy answer. We used to recommend the Launchy extension, but that seems to have been abandoned, with no update since 2006. That leaves you with copying the link and pasting it into the FF location bar. Lee Thanks again Lee, for your help. Guess I'll leave well enough alone. Re: Website problems
Wow! You guys are fantastic! That actually workedI can even click on the e-mail newsletter links and get there now! Holy Cow! (haha) But now, should I leave this new string in about:config permanently? Are there any possible circumstance/websites where this change may cause problems? Thanks much. ___ support-seamonkey mailing list support-seamonkey@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey
