Re: New AT Settings
I, too, use AT email and also had problems getting my mail when they changed their program. It would not recognize my email password. BTW, each morning, I open up my email on the Yahoo site: https://currently.att.yahoo.com/ First, my old password was not recognized when the Yahoo/ATT website was updated but I could still download my email. After a couple of days, I got back onto the Yahoo/Att website and followed instructions on how to change my password. Leaky as in memory leakage. 2.48 and 2.49 were leaky for me. During the course of the day memory usage would just go up and up and never be freed up until I was consuming 1-2GB RAM. 2.50beta was fine the 2.50 release brought back the leakiness. I work with usually 3 windows open, sometimes 4 and have had no problems. However, I do not know how to check 'memory usage'. So if it is leaky, I do not know. I am so confused! I get it that 2.40 SeaMonkey has some problems, not sure what they are other than vulnerabilities. Someone said to 'Turn off javascript' but do not know how to do so. Re: Is "SeaMonkey 2.40" the last version, or will there be further updates?
Curious, will version also work on Windows 10 in x64? For Windows x86 pick 2.46 from here: https://l10n.mozilla-community.org/~akalla/unofficial/seamonkey/nightly/latest-comm-release-windows32/ My impression is that the microsoft November update rollup makes seamonkey 2.46 for windows 7 x32 crash. Works fine fro me in x86 and x64 with 2.46 and 2.47. The latest Windows 7 update includes telemetry by default and I have seen at least one report were this crashed the browser. Sea Monkey browser
I recently bought a new Windows 10, 64 and it took me a while to get SeaMonkey up and running. Yesterday, I was on a Reddit website where one can click on an up or down arrow to show whether you liked or dislike a statement someone made. I could not do so nor could I comment. I then went over on the Microsoft E browser and brought up the same page and I could then do both the clicks and comments. Any suggestions on how I can get SeaMonkey to do the same, on the old Windows 7 upgraded to Windows 10, it worked fine. Re: fonts in 2.6.1
Thanks for taking the time to answer me. Well, it may do so in your computer but not in mine which is why I hold off to upgrade. The print on the browser is tiny and worse in the mail program. In Edit ? Preferences ? Appearance ? Fonts you can set a minimum font size for each language. Also, these preferences ought to persist from one version to the next (they are in your profile, reinstalling the application shouldn't change that) so I don't understand your as usual. Someone else has the same experience I do... I will try Veranda, which I have. Thanks. But doing so all affects the Font size used on websites as well. Change the last font in the list to Veranda (if you have it). It may not improve the size but you sure can read it better.
