Perhaps another desirable capability, "download all available mail." I often 
find that I set "download headers" on a mailbox, winnow out the crap, and then 
want to D/L all the text of all the messages. Seems to take a click per message 
rather than a convenient one click solution.


What I'd really like is a way, in message filters, to download text from people 
I know, and leave headers only for the rest. Haven't quite gotten that yet.

Does your web mail interface provide you a means to mark the messages
as Not Read? If so, mark them as Not Read then see if SeaMonkey will
download them.

go out and fetch all of the messages on the server.

locally, but still present on the server .  will not download 
anymore. Using your procedure, i can see a message saying that there are 
no new message on the server.

2. Close SeaMonkey and delete (or better yet, rename) the inbox .msf

To stop SeaMonkey from deleting your messages on the server: Right click
on the main account and select 'Settings' (or use Edit|Mail & Newsgroups
Account Settings). Click on 'Server Settings' and check the box for
'Leave messages on server'
