delayed sending
First of all, my sent mail is wierd, because it always shows the received time an hour later than the created date, including when it's not during daylight savings time. Yesterday at 9:14 am, I sent myself a message, to be dispatched at 8 am tomorrow (today). The message was sent today, at 9:04 am. It appears in my sent mail, under yesterday's date, having been created at 9:14 and received at 10:14. It seems like it should appear as having been sent today at 9:04 am. It also seems like it should have been sent at 8 instead of 9. There is a second message, which was composed at the same time, and set to be sent in 24 hours, by the custom setting. This message is still sitting in the outbox, (it is currently about 11:35 am Thursday). -- Dwight A. I never loose my FM connection unless DSL or FM itself is down. I didn't have those problems either with XP. I have found that seeming poor Imap reliability in all email clients has a lot to do with connection configuration. This works for me in TB: both in and out are set to use Secure To Dedicated Port, 465 for in and 993 for out. As for folder counts, I can get good counts with other clients but they are lacking some other things that TB does. There is no such thing as a client that does everything well. I have decided to use Fastcheck to tell me when new mail arrives http://www.fastcheck.org/ regardless of what client I am using. Cannot confirm your observation. I created the message, added 15 minutes delay and tried to send it from the Outbox. The message was anchored and was not send. It was send automatically on the right time. here is a test message I marked to send in 24 hours, today at 2:10 pm. As you can see, it has already arrived. -- Dwight A. send timing
This morning, when I installed this release candidate, I sent myself some test messages. Several have been sent early. The one which is supposed to go tomorrow morning at 8 am is still sitting in my outbox, but has also arrived, at 5:17 pm this afternoon, with a creation time of this morning when I made it. I have a couple of others which came too soon and when I went back to check my outbox again to see if they were still there, I noticed a message I recently sent was still sitting in my outbox. (It shouldn't have still been there, but that's a different problem.) It was the only message which didn't have the little clock which I assume is supposed to indicate a message is parked until it's expected send time, and I hit send messages. All the remaining messages waiting on the clock to go were also sent. -- Dwight A.
