However, I often receive messages from people who use Outlook and they want to recall a message due to sending it in error. The common pattern with the recall messages is the user did not check the To or CC fields prior to hitting send. I suspect this new feature would be of assistance to them. The Bat! 3.63.09 and the Outbox Protection Feature
Hello Tbbeta, We've implemented Outbox Protection Feature. It is currently OFF by default. If you add Registry DWORD Value CopyToOutboxProhibited=1 to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\RIT\The Bat!, The Bat! will prohibit copying messages to Outbox from other folders. You will be only able to foward, redirect, etc. messages, which will lead to creation of new messages in Outbox, but you will not be able to copy (or move) messages to Outbox. When this option is ON, and you click Copy to folder menu item, the Outbox folder is not shown in the list. Also, if you try to use Drag-And-Drop to copy messages to Outbox, the cursor gets prohibited shape. Please let us know whether it should be ON by default. Hello Maxim! On Saturday, December 10, 2005, 8:11 PM, you wrote: We've implemented Outbox Protection Feature. I do not want my Outbox to have this Protection Feature. Therefore I am not going to download and test .09 tonight. It's late and I don't have time or energy to deal with the problems of testing this new implementation. I will do it tomorrow. I guess I'm just tired, but I cannot understand the above paragraph. Evidently it confused Ian A. White temporarily also. When this option is ON, and you click Copy to folder menu item, the Outbox folder is not shown in the list. Also, if you try to use Drag-And-Drop to copy messages to Outbox, the cursor gets prohibited shape. I don't want that to happen. Please let us know whether it should be ON by default.
