(Copying my TB dir and saving the reg. entry) I think you hit the nail on the head. Copy the whole lot. I was using TB! backups until a while ago when I reported that it wouldn't restore. Hello gandalfmeister, Are you using an IMAP or POP3 account? IMAP on gmail. Perhaps its just because it is so slow? (takes ... I do still have one POP3 account at TheBat.net. Must have missed it in my rush for IMAP. However, I have created a test filter, sent a test message and the filter works as expected (Move to Trash). I think you hit the nail on the head. Copy the whole lot. I was using TB! backups until a while ago when I reported that it wouldn't restore. I then got forgetful/complacent as each beta seemed harmless. What branches on the registry do you back up? I can't see much to save in there It is HKCU/Software/RIT that you have to export. BTW, it's still broken in 5.3.8 and I have to manually re-filter this message into my TBBETA folder. More info: This is definitely something to do with TB! generally. I previously though it was one account not being filtered but I have another account that is also not being automatically filtered. So annoying because now I am missing important message appearing on the Mail Ticker because the filtering is not putting the message into the correct folder. Does any else have the same problem? Gandalfmeister's original message that started this thread was also a release version. Do you think that the beta has performed permanent damage to the message base? I cleared the training database which will of course create a few more as it relearns, but the problem is solved It's not the detection of spam because that is done on the server and SPAM headers are set. It's just that TB! won't automatically filter the spam into the correct folder. Update: still broken. I have reverted back to SSL (so Kaspersky can't see inside) but incoming filtering is still broken. P.S. Kasperksy AV AS plugins are also completely removed. In the sorting office window, all my older filters (since v4 and earlier) are shown bluecolored, all new ones are black. So let's try to set them to inactive, close TB, start TB again and set them to active. I've deleted four of those filters, closed and restarted TB and created those filters again with exactly the same arguments. Although they're still blackcolored and active, these four do work now at least a couple of new arrived mails were filtered correctly in those folders. Start TB Copy and paste all filters back to the sorting office that you just emptied, now you should be able to copy and paste them all at once If this works then you had some corruption in the .srb file. Just an idea: Try to use a slightly different condition. So instead of contains (all) try to use contains any of. Maybe it helps to us a trunkated part of the emailaddress you are filtering for. Maybe it will also help not to filter for header, but more specifically for sender or for recipient. Again, these ideas are more trial and error than advice that's funded on solid knowledge.
