[Bug 1674666] [NEW] Does not support the K520 GRID GPU as used on AWS G2 GPU instances
Public bug reported: Following an unattended-upgrade on a Xenial instance this morning, the GRID GPU stopped working with the following error in dmesg [ 6710.061115] NVRM: The NVIDIA GRID K520 GPU installed in this system is NVRM: supported through the NVIDIA 367.xx Legacy drivers. Please NVRM: visit http://www.nvidia.com/object/unix.html for more NVRM: information. The 375.39 NVIDIA driver will ignore NVRM: this GPU. Continuing probe... [Bug 1244085] Re: Bluetooth fails after suspend resume
I recently changed to an X201s laptop, and the problem persists. I'm also having a hard time finding the time to learn about bisection, as the provided commands on https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/KernelBisection are vague and assume good knowledge of Git. Do you not have a QA test suite at Canonical on which to test this bug? My notes thus far are... 3.11.0-12-generic. Bug not present 3.11.0-13-generic. Bug present 3.12.0.031200rc6. [Bug 1244085] Re: Bluetooth fails after suspend resume
Hi, Unfortunately the problem persists on 3.12.0-031200rc6-generic too. I've confirmed and updated the tags as requested. Cheers Kyle ** Tags added: kernel-bug-exists-upstream ** Description changed: Lenovo X200 will appear to suspend and resume correctly, but any attempt to use bluetooth will result in a kernel oops followed by a hard lockup a few minutes later. Below is some relevant output from /var/log/syslog and lsusb, and I believe the rest of my system information has been uploaded by ubuntu-bug. [Bug 393258] [NEW] OpenOffice inconsistent save as dialogue wording
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: openoffice.org-common Hi, If the user has picked Save As and then selected Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP as a file format in OpenOffice Writer, the user is then presented with a dialogue offering them the opportunity to Click 'Yes' to save in MS Word... or Click 'No' to use the latest OD file format However, there are no Yes or No buttons. There is a button saying Keep current format and another saying Save in ODF Format. Aside from ODF Format being a redundant acronym, the user has had no explanation what ODF Format is, along with not getting the buttons they are being told to click on. This is especially confusing for newcomers to the environment, who will in most cases require everything laid out correctly before them - with no assumptions to be made, and only but the most basic of options available. [Bug 37239] Re: VPN connection should alter /etc/resolv.conf
Of course it's not a problem to the majority of people that use NetworkManager and don't use a VPN. However, for those that do use DNS services over a VPN, it is. As it stands, network-manager claims to provide that functionality and doesn't, so the bug is still a major showstopper for a certain subsection of users. dan_linder still has a valid issue, as he may rely only on IP addresses to reach work servers. [Bug 37239] Re: VPN connection should alter /etc/resolv.conf
Hi, I am experiencing similar issues with /etc/resolv.conf When connected normally to wireless, I have the correct search domain and nameserver parameters in /etc/resolv.conf. However, when the system connects to my OpenVPN server, there is nothing present in /etc/resolv.conf bar the regular # generated by NetworkManager, do not edit! comment. After this point, I am unable to complete any DNS requests. Disconnecting from the VPN, but staying connected to wireless results in /etc/resolv.conf being repopulated with the correct data. My OpenVPN server specifically does not push out any DNS data, as all relevant hosts are in /etc/hosts. If it did, I would expect NetworkManager to put in additional DNS entries instead of removing them altogether. Maybe different DNS priorities should be available for individual circumstances.
