Public bug reported: Since upgrading to 8.10, when I connect my digital camera (Canon PowerShot A530) something strange happens. [Bug 192487] [NEW] strange copy behaviour in gnome-nettool
Public bug reported: In gnome-nettool, the edit-copy command and the ctl-c shortcut have a strange behaviour: they copy to the clipboard the result of the network test. This produces inconsistecies, because if I select the network address in the port scan tab, I expect that the copy command acts on the selection, while it copies the result of the action. While ctl-x act actually on the selection. The thing is stranger if I consider that this ctl-c behaviour could have a meaning in the case I have performed a test, but it has no meaning when no test has been performed. At least in this case ctl-c should actually copy the selection to the clipboard. Anyway I consider this behaviour is confusing. I think the paper size should go according to the uses of the country in which I live, so that for example in european countries a A4 default paper size is used, while in USA a letter default paper size is used. Actually I live in Dominican Republic, where A4 paper doesn't exist, all is letter size, and every time I create a new document in openoffice.org I must change the paper size to letter. I consider that in the locales or in the language pack the correct paper size for every country should be defined too. ** Affects: langpack-locales (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- printer paper size should be defined with locale settings https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/122172 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 111898] update-manager doesn't upgrade correctly edubuntu edgy server to feisty
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: update-manager I had to upgrade from edgy to feisty my edubuntu server. At the end of the process I found that the package ltsp-server wasn't upgraded: I had still edgy version. Trying to apt-get dist-upgrade told be that ltsp-server had been retained, supposedly because of a package that was to delete. Looking for some reason of that, I remember that in the first beginning of update-manager stuff, I had it donwloading something (it didn't say what), and I could hit the escape key. I think I interrupted something, but all continued apparently without problems. Without problems, but the fact that ltsp-server wasn't upgraded to feisty. I am not sure if the bug lies in the fact that ltsp-server hasn't been upgraded, or, alternatively, in the fact that the upgrade has continued notwithstanding a part of the process hasn't ended correctly ** Affects: update-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- update-manager doesn't upgrade correctly edubuntu edgy server to feisty https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/111898 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
