AW: AW: Audio with Hyper-V?
Hi all, I discovered the following: https://twitter.com/awakecoding/status/422447419771465728 Which tells me one has to pass the preconnection-blob as “6fcf01b7-b29e-43a0-9556-f7e0c77a226e;EnhancedMode=1” and then audio is working as expected. Likely the same is required for other features. Maybe you want to put this into the FAQs or documentation? Hi, maybe there is a problem with audio & Hyper-V only and not with RDP in general. I tried RDP on port 3389 to both the Hyper-V host as well to the same guest I tried to access via port 2179, setting preconnection-blob (and security nla) – RDP to 3389 works with audio, port 2179 etc. does not support audio. I am particularly interested in connecting to 2179 as this allows to connect already before the OS is loaded and irrespective of any network or remote access settings. What next? Create an issue? I'm trying to eliminate the possibility that audio for Hyper-V only uses RDP for the remote display (and deals with audio only by directly accessing the local sound card). Assuming it does leverage RDP for both graphics and audio, I would then like to make sure that this is not driven by some feature specific to Hyper-V which does not leverage the standard RDPSND channel normally used for audio. - Mike

Unfortunately sound is still not working and the virtual OS (still) indicates this with audio crossed out (“No Audio Output Device is installed”). What to check next? Thanks, Joachim

Re: Audio with Hyper-V?
Hi Joachim, Which browser are you using ? Note : Guacamole doesn't support audio redirection in IE. Have you enabled audio redirection from Group policy settings ? Please refer the screenshot. Audio with Hyper-V?
Hello, kind of inspired by the discussion on video performance, I tried to play one. It turned out to work pretty well except that audio did not work with my Hyper-V setup. Actually windows guest tells in the notification area "No Audio Output Device is installed". I double checked with VMConnect - with VMConnect audio does work. According to the Guacamole documentation, audio is enabled with RDP by default. Also with Hyper-V? Any property I need to check? Or did I miss something else? Thanks & Best Regards, Joachim
