check the file MANUAL in the vdr directory:

The configuration file 'reccmds.conf' can be used to define system

that can be applied to the recording that is currently highlighted in the
Recordings menu. The Red key in the Recordings menu opens the

'reccmds.conf'. Pressing
one of the keys '1'..'9' in the Recordings menu executes the
corresponding

command from 'reccmds.conf' (see also Executing system commands below).

You can select a recording, press the red key and select the command you

So you can export it to several formats and more.

If you should decide to use my favorite VGA-to-SCART adaptor [1] a minor

But I have now a big problem.
I upgraded now from vdr 1.7.2 to 1.7.10.
If I record now a normal PAL movie I cannot replay it with my FF card on
my old TV.
Sound is stuck and picture as well. I had a similar problem with vdr
1.7.9 and went then back to 1.7.2 which solved the problem. But now I
cannot switch back to an older version because xine will not work then
without patching a ot of stuff.

Re: [vdr] Getting old dvb_ttpci running with new driver and VDR1.7.1

2008-09-19 Thread Matthias Fechner
Hi,

I was now able to compile a driver and get it running with VDR 1.7.1
here a short summary:
To get the driver:

cd /usr/local/src/
mkdir hvr4000
mkdir -p hvr4000/liblianindvb-test
cd hvr4000/liblianindvb-test
hg init
hg pull http://arvdr-dev.free-x.de:8080/testdvb/
hg update

Compile the driver:

make
make install

To compile VDR:

cd /usr/local/src/hvr4000/liblianindvb-test/linux/include/linux
ln -s /usr/src/linux/include/linux/compiler.h .

Compile VDR like normal.

Bye,

[vdr] Getting old dvb_ttpci running with new driver and VDR1.7.1

2008-09-17 Thread Matthias Fechner
Hi Community,

I tried these days to migrate to the new driver structure and VDR 1.7
(to later get the HVR4000 running).

The driver I used is:
http://liplianindvb.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/hgwebdir.cgi/liplianindvb/
To compile the driver I copied compiler.h from the kernel source to the
driver and compiled it (I think was necessary to compile VDR against the
driver).

When compiling VDR I changed the path for the DVB driver to the dir
where I compiled the new driver (in Make.config).

But if I start VDR 1.7.1 I only get a black screen (OSD is working fine)
and a message that it cannot tune to channel.

Switch back to VDR 1.6 and the old driver solved the problem.

Was anyone successfull to get that driver with VDR 1.7.1 with the old TT
card (Rev 1.3) running?

Bye,
Matthias

I had a similar problem like you. I disabled the automatic restart in

Sometimes after switching it's working sometimes not.
Recordings are sometimes blank and sometimes full of distortions
sometimes they are fine.

Finally it was a defect FF card. I replaced it and everything worked fine.
Maybe you have the same problem but before you replace the card you
maybe want to check all cable etc. These F-connectors are really ugly.

[vdr] Which DVB-S Card to buy in Germany

2008-07-06 Thread Matthias Fechner
Hi,

I have here an old VDR system running and my DVB-S cards are stopping to
work now (VDR 1.6 and 2xDVB-S cards).
It starts with a lot of distortions and then they stops to record
completely. I have only 0 minute records for my new timers.

In the log file I have:
Jul 6 14:25:24 video vdr: [10063] ERROR: video data stream broken
Jul 6 14:25:31 video vdr: [19846] ERROR: video data stream broken
Jul 6 14:25:55 video vdr: [10063] ERROR: video data stream broken
Jul 6 14:26:02 video vdr: [19846] ERROR: video data stream broken
Jul 6 14:26:26 video vdr: [10063] ERROR: video data stream broken

If VDR records on the second DVB card everything is fine.

I'm quite sure that this a hardware issue.
The cards I habe installed currently are:
02:07.0 Multimedia controller: Philips Semiconductors SAA7146 (rev 01)
02:09.0 Multimedia controller: Philips Semiconductors SAA7146 (rev 01)

Which are good cards to replace them?

because German is spoken in more then one country: de_DE, de_AT and I

[vdr] Problems with recordings

2007-06-23 Thread Matthias Fechner
Hi,

I'm not sure what I changed but I thing that after Pro7 had changed the
frequency the problem with distortions in recordings started.

The new channel line is:
ProSieben;ProSiebenSat.1:12544:hC56:S19.2E:22000:511:512=deu;515=deu:33:0:17501:1:1107:0

I have running VDR 1.4.7.
It is a dual FF-card system running a 32-bit Gentoo.
DMA is enabled for all harddisks.

oh good to know, maybe you should correct your website:

Known issue:

* Make sure that remotetimers is loaded before svdrpservice or apply

use Firefox and everthing is fine.

[vdr] Problem with programming timer on TELE 5

2006-12-09 Thread Matthias Fechner
Hi

I have TELE 5 now on number 12 (moved with the VDR channel editor to
this place).

But if I try now to programm a timer in the following way:
Menu - Program - red button I see on channel 609 TELE 5 and not 12
TELE5

The line in channel.conf is:
TELE 5:12480:vC34:S19.2E:27500:1535:1536=deu:38:0:51:133:33:16387

What is wrong here?

[vdr] Problem with aspect ratio after update

2006-12-05 Thread Matthias Fechner
Hi,

I updated these days my system from kernel 2.6.15.4 to 2.6.19 and now
every movie on every program is now in 16:9 even the movies which had
been 4:3 before.

Is there something broken in the driver from the kernel or is it a
problem with the firmware or VDR?

I have VDR 1.4.4 running and 2xFF card (DVB-S).

Best regards,
Matthias

[vdr] VDR deletes directories

2006-10-09 Thread Matthias Fechner
Hi,

I have the problem that VDR deletes directories in my /video0 or
/video1 ... which not belongs to VDR.

I use vdrconvert to convert my VDR recordings to DVDs so I have a
directory /video1/filme which VDR deletes and vdrconvert breaks.

Is it possible to deny the delete of this directory?

(vdr is running as root here)

Best regards,
Matthias
