Re: AirPods Pro Audio Question
Well, This is very interesting. I am also running Parallels on my Mac. The audio goes to mono only when I load JAWS inside the parallel VM. If I don’t run JAWS, then the Mac audio works fine, even with Narrator. Kelly > On Oct 30, 2023, at 7:09 PM, 'Mervin Keck III' via VIPhone > wrote: > > I can’t say why they are in Mono. I can’t say why they are in Mono. But I can say I had issues with my M1 MacBook Pro and the Air Pod Pro 2 USB C edition. I’m using them just fine on the 14 Pro Max but I am no longer using them with the Mac. Audio kept losing voiceover and I would have to shut the Mac down to get it back. RE: AirPods Pro Volume Issue
Have you tried moving the ear pods to see if pointing the mic closer to your mouth might help? Just a thought But I know I tried a similar thing with my series 2 pods and it somewhat corrected the issues. -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com On Behalf Of Brandon Olivares Sent: Saturday, 7 March 2020 3:03 AM To: VIPhone Subject: AirPods Pro Volume Issue So every so often, people say that they have a really hard time hearing me when I am using my AirPods Pro on the phone, to the point where I have to repeat myself several times or speak very loudly in order to be heard. Re: AirPods Pro Volume Issue
Someone posted a while back that if you have noise activation on, people will have trouble hearing you. I can’t remember what it’s called right now. Anyway, it blocks out everything but what you’re hearing through your earphones. If you change that, people should be able to hear you. Hey Brandon, I have noticed the behavior when noise canceling is turned on. I have found that if you use the transparency mode while talking on the phone it’s a cleaner call for everyone involved. Re: AirPods Pro
Hi, Terri, Thanks for the explanation. You know how the saying goes: You learn something new every day. You know, I think back about what my Dad told me when I graduated from college way back in the mid-‘60s: He said, “Never stop learning!” I think if he were alive today, he’d be proud of what I’ve accomplished in my life. I’m almost 75 and still heed his words. I love technology and I’ll use it as long as I can! Take care. Ester, Transparent mode means you can hear outside sounds in addition to what you are hearing from your phone. So if you are listening to say music on your phone while in transparent mode and someone in your household asks you a question, you can hear them talking. This is the opposite of the noise cancellation mode that blocks out all external sounds. Re: AirPods Pro
Hi, Just want to let everyone know who is interested, that QVC is having a today special value sale on the AirPods second generation I can’t remember the exact price, but I think it is around $120 and it has extra things that are included but since I really wasn’t interested, I didn’t pay that much attention. But you can check it out if you’re interested. Thank you. Re: airpods pro and automatic switch to iphone when paired with pc
Thank you all for replies on this thread. A forum post I read suggested a work around whereby one could leave an airpod in the case pair it to device a and then place the second airpod in the case to be paired to device b. Can anyone confirm if this works? Thank you in advance. On 11/11/19, Marie wrote: > I agree. Re: AirPods pro strange phone call!
Yes, Siri must have heard what I said to my guide dog and interpreted it as a phone call request. Mind you, when I ask Siri to play Radio 4 here in the UK, some days she will comply and other days she will insist on playing Tempo FM. Perhaps the same gremlins in action? Re: airpods pro and automatic switch to iphone when paired with pc
I agree. I have a plantronics edge and Trekx Titanium which are both multi point and they are not exactly what I call seamless in the switching. While it works well most of the time there are definitely hiccups now and then. And the Trekx was over $100. While Iwish the Air Pods would switch automatically, it is not all that essential to me. Afterall, if I am listening to a book on my IPod and get a call, I can answer it on the IPod. Both Siri and dictation work much better when using the Air pods than with any other BT headset I have ever used and even better than the wired Apple ear buds. And by the way, there is very little difference in battery life between the Air Pods, the Edge and The trekx and the Air Pods charge in about half the time. I resisted them until the second generation and have not regretted the purchase one time. RE: AirPods pro strange phone call!
I am not sure how anybody could pocket dial somebody with an iPhone unless they leave their device unlocked and with the Phone app open on either the Favourites or Recents tab. Even then something conductive which most clothing is not, needs to press on the touch screen. I have owned iPhones for almost 10 years and in all that time I don't think my phone ever called somebody unless maybe I was deleting recents very quickly and I hadn't swiped down to "Delete" before double tapping. More likely maybe SIRI somehow got activated and it thought maybe it heard something and interpreted it as making a phone call. -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com On Behalf Of TaraPrakash Sent: Monday, November 11, 2019 8:08 AM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: AirPods pro strange phone call! Re: AirPods Pro. Any pointers on removing the silicon insert to try a different size?
I could not find any marker on my new AirPods pro to indicate where to press. And I worried about pulling on the silicon because the original medium tips were very firmly attached. I chickened out and asked my sighted wife to change the tips and she struggled just as much as I had and eventually just used brute force by pulling on the silicon! Not a good design feature... RE: AirPods Pro. Any pointers on removing the silicon insert to try a different size?
No, they are not interchangeable between cases as the design is different. The Pro buds are shaped a little different and the stems are shorter .. more compact in total. Re: AirPods Pro. Any pointers on removing the silicon insert to try a different size?
Good afternoon, I have had the AirPods Pro for aabout two weeks. You can remove the tips by just pulling on the silicon ear inserts, or by finding the small depression in the plastic near the ear tip and use your fingertip to remove the ear tip. As for the case, The AirPods Pro have a new case design. Therefore, the Pros will not fit in the AirPods 2 case. I hope this helps, and have a great day. > On Nov 9, 2019, at 2:49 PM, Matthew Bullis wrote: > > I have not invested in these Pro devices, since I just got the Airpods 2 > about three months ago.
