Hi. we have this error too. we have in our tape-san tsm server at hp-ux and
window 2000 in different network-segments.
ibm say it is a problem in the network parameter. but we don´t find anythink
and i don´t believe that we have network
problems in two different networks in the same time.
Del,
thank you for your explanation. I was unsure about this an need to
calculate required space in storage pool for Domino backup.

I discovered the cause of this one.
Wrong version of the device configuration file was being picked up (was
from correct TSM Server but 8 months old).
Once this was corrected, restore worked fine.
Morale here is to make sure your test environment matches Production as
much as possible, especially
Hi Richard!
Thanks, I already found that reply and I have had that checked, the LANG
variable is set correctly...
Guess I have to open a PMR... I was hoping that someone like Neil Rasmussen
would reply and point me to the right place to find these return codes...

I am in agreement with you there Lloyd. I too have done SDD upgrades but
never had to go through that much hassle. On one of the early versions of
the SDD you used to have to undefine the vpath devices by taking the volume
group offline and then running vp2hd. you then remove the old SDD software,

Andy,
I an looking at the SDD 1.4.0 README. It says if you use migration to
upgrade from AIX 4.3.3 to AIX 5.1.0, you must uninstall the existing SDD
and then install the new version of SDD. I believe SDD 1.4 is the latest.
I downloaded it from the IBM site last week.
Has anyone upgraded to SDD
Eric,
A return code 2534 should be referenced in the TDP Oracle manual -
probably as ANS2534. Anyways, 2534 is an options file error. However,
there should have been created a file called tdpoerror.log. This file get
created in the local directory (what ever happens to be local for Oracle).

I'm getting the following error when I try to open the TDP SQL GUI or

I'm looking for a simple tsm reporting tool to setup a report of how much

Hi
I have been looking over the new ITSM Client for NetWare version 5.2.0.0... and I'm
properly going to get an massive headache ;o)
I installed the client on a testserver, and tried to log in with the appropriate
credentials belonging to the node it self - it failed?? I tried an administrator
Is anyone doing silent installs of the new 4.2.0.1 client on Windows2000
platforms? I'm getting a Internal Error 2711. BackupArchiveGUI when I try.

instructions for doing a silent install. They say there are two new client
Neil, I love you!
We found the tdpoerror.log in the directory you suggested, it indicated that
TDP couldn't find the tdpo.opt file. This was caused by the fact that the
Oracle account was missing read permission for that file... Duh!
We changed the permissions and the backup is running now!
Interesting. From my message about this similar topic, and now your

influence whether 5.2 works properly.

When a new node is registered, an administrative user ID is automatically created

I can spell Zone Alarm, and that is really the extent of my knowledge on
this product. With that said, I did a little poking around on their web
site, and came across this article:

Well. Got to give credit where credit is due. Absolutely fantastic
