I wouldn't put that in any area where weather could get at it. Just
asking for trouble. It needs to be sealed from
moisture/condensate/water. Perhaps half a ton of silicon grease
temporarily?

We've used the Magnum Energy automatic
generator start controller, which will start a 2-wire or 3-wire
generator and run it for a certain amount of time, with
time-of-day exclusion or based on temperature. I'd rather use a
Packetflux because I've already a Site
I'm not sure we ever figured the actual cause out since the one i can think
of most recently was buried.. just was able to trace it to a point and no
further. This was years ago at this point. I also remember water
penetration to be an issue in another case where a conduit filed with
water.

will take up to 14 ga in that series.

Rofl what kind of question is that?
The business whose parking lot we are in, bought the house where our
tower was. Left the tower alone, tore down the house and put up a
store. We provide them fiber from the pole and link to our other
subscribers with wireless links. It's not a good relationship, they'd

Cars and trucks these days use connectors that have built-in
moisture/debris shields. You can get those (both male and female) at
many auto parts stores.

yes, voltage is reading 122v ac. The decimal point seems to wander,
hinting there is some noise. I don't have an o-scope available. When I
do a "site survey" I read no signals stronger than -67dbm.

The generator on site isn't ours, it's for the county 2way equipment.
The tower power comes from a different direction, so the utility fuses
automatically reset and the power was restored to the tower in about a
minute. Based on the sound from the camera, the generator ran for 10
minutes

That's what I'm talking about - if you're below or above the 3 inch pipe,
that's a 3 inch variance.

I believe ours will start right away but the ATS won't swap over unless
it's down for ~10 seconds. Then to go back from generator to utility it's
like 3-5 minutes (feels like a long while).
