Good info, Matt.
One thing to consider, the various SAS vendors may offer services that make
them attractive to certain WISPs. Like coordinating between adjacent WISPs, or
making it easier to bond channels, or taking into consideration APs that are
synced and can be on the same frequency,
Regarding the original question… I am not sure what they’re worth, but
depending on the FCC response to the petition to extend part 90 operations
beyond April 17, 2020, and what they rule regarding license expiration dates,
that value could go up a bit.
The whole CBRS subject is quite complex

It’s a government program - they get paid to fail. You get paid per
household in the block regardless of your managing to sell service or not.
So you can price it at the absolute maximum the feds will allow and hope that

Honestly, I didn’t realize Frontier was eligible for CAF money by me, much less
that they passed it up.

I guess they have 6 years to find “vertical assets”. Or someone said they

Bidding on that much territory, I guess you can’t go and verify there are any

OK, different colors, have to click on a tract to see the bidder. I see a lot

Oh wait, never mind, Benton Ridge is based in Lima OH, that’s them.

Their southern edge is our northern edge. We sort of intertwine a little
bit.
I know when they were starting fixed wireless they had some sort of
licensed product on a massive (1500+) tower. Someone said they lost that
license.

They're a customer of mine in Indianapolis.
They've been offering to buy WISPs in areas they won CAF funds. I think they'll
be partnering with neighboring WISPs where they can't buy them.

Big provider based near Lima, Ohio. Backed by a small LEC. Has a decent
presence in Ohio and large presence in Indiana. They took a significant
amount of CAF money.
