Sounds like a MTU issue (PMTUD perhaps?). I’m guessing the other side of the VPN was wanting MTU to be 1500 bytes, but due to PPPoE overhead the client won’t ever be able to receive the full 1500 bytes. So it’s sad and won’t work. We use PPPoE and had one customer that couldn’t get to a random
