Hello: Finally I did something right! Not only did I get Winamp back as my
default player, it now (when I hit "r" turned repeat mode off! Now all I
need to do is to get Google Chrome as my default browser and I'll be good;
aw.but that last one is for another list! Thanks for your indulgence!
Okay.in trying to look around to find the default app for Chrome, I now have
another app other than Winamp for my default app; I do not want this! I
want Winamp for my default app! So can someone _please_ tell me (in words I
understand)( how do I get Winamp to come up when I want to play a file?
Okay...first of all, I've looked high and low and see _nothing_ about advanced
playback" and playback? Well...nothing having anything to do with that repeat
mode; not as far as I can tell! Will test it out again and see if I can get
"repeat" to turn off and on without having to do much

preferences have their own tab sections as well, which is at times an easy
thing to miss since just hitting tab, jaws skips right past
Okay...looked in Preferences and in playback, I see nothing that tells me about
that repeat toggle! What am I missing? I don't do that well with treeviews
anyhow, so I am probably missing a lot; I do see Playback, but it's all "Greek"
to Me!

Okay...have yet another update for ya: this version of Winamp (after I did a
"custom install" seems to look like the original version of Winamp I had! What
caused me to re-install this version of Winamp was when I (at one point) heard
Jaws say, "Unable to display an appropriate library" so I
Okay...here's my update on the Winamp situation: I have downloaded and
installed the version of Winamp that Dennis suggested! It does work better;
this is to say that I can do the command that gives me the track length.
However, alt-R is still "hit-and-miss; when I first open a file to play,
Dennis: Thank you; gonna head there and see if I can download that version of
Winamp and hopefully will get better results than the version I have on there
now; I still, however, can't help but wonder if there is either a problem with
my computer or maybe my keyboard, although as much as I'm
