Okay...here's my update on the Winamp situation: I have downloaded and
installed the version of Winamp that Dennis suggested!  It does work better;
this is to say that I can do the command that gives me the track length.
However, alt-R is still "hit-and-miss; when I first open a file to play, alt-R
does nothing! However, if I close (then re-open) the Winamp main window, alt-R
will then take me to the end of the track! Have no idea of why this is, but I
suppose I can learn to live with it; at least it works better than what I had
before! Thanks to Dennis for pointing me to this version of Winamp!

Dennis: Thank you; gonna head there and see if I can download that version of
Winamp and hopefully will get better results than the version I have on there
now; I still, however, can't help but wonder if there is either a problem with
my computer or maybe my keyboard, although as much as I'm able to tell, Winamp
seems to be the only thing that is causing a problem! Will keep you all
updated!
Thanks,
Tom Kaufman
