There are a whole heap of different audio formats but that’s really not
the point.
As Windows evolves and changes that the software running on it has to
evolve with Windows

Winamp is the most accessible media player for the blind. It may be

Yes and sometimes old stuff is just epic. Too bad my PTR1 has decided to hate
on every CF card I buy it cause I kinda love that thing. I love the clarity of
it's built in. Sure it sounds like some walkman sized

Well if the user wants additional formats then that’s up to them isn’t it? If
they want to play ogg or whatever then they themselves surely can install the
additional software as required.
Windows itself supports a lot of audio formats right out of the box as they say
including FLAC though I’m

Yeah you're right why not just use Media Player? All though there are
lots of formats Media Player won't play. I don't think still today it

The other thing I find fascinating about all this is that company’s who work
for blind people setting up computers and the like still insist on installing
Winamp and I obviously don’t agree with that.
