A bunch of bugs are still there (especially http://sourceforge.net/
tracker/index.php?func=detailaid=1537409group_id=54091atid=472655).
Also the website needs to be updated (http://cmq.qc.ca/4w/amsn/)...
But apart from that we're ready! :-P

the updating of the website should be part of the release process...
about that annoying bug you described, that's indeed a priority issue for 0.96
(I think)..
what was happening before ? has it always been there? is it happening for
everyone ? when was it introduced ? does it
happen if
Ok, thanx for the answer.

Hi all.
Great, great job Youness !
I should have my new internet connection in a couple of days. Then,
i'll be glad to help you.
I agree we should release amsn 0.96 ASAP. I won't have my gentoo
installed soon so i won't be able to create a new ebuild but i think
it is not that much different

It seems useful indeed to try this out!
The below command does not work for me, however.
Did anybody succeede? Or am I too late, did the branch disappear?

Ok. It does *not* work.
I guess we have to fix this before releasing 0.96
or we'd get lots of bug reports later.
Youness, my before-release-todo list will be to fix this?
For example ... our main script 'amsn' does
set initialize_amsn whatever
Then, ctthemes.tcl is the first file being
It's quite easy to make these changes.
I made about 40 changes to amsn already (these can be committed as they
work with and without the Tip being implemented).
However, Tip 278 also breaks (at least) BWidget.
In widget.tcl, one can find this:
proc Widget::init { class path options } {

now Jonne, could you please confirm that the initialize_amsn variable is not
accessible with the

right for upleveled

just confirm if it works or if it crashes.

It only happens when a tabbed convo is open, and the contact list is
minimized. (I never bother to minimize my CL, so I didn't notice this
either.)
So I guess we could only run the code if the user has tabs activated...

What, I have to teach you something? :)
Listen carefully, Youness, and I will explain.
You are right that in ./amsn we source in the global namespace. Hence we
could access the initialize_amsn
variable, which is located in the global namespace.
However, we source (many) files that have there own
Exactly. Read the last in parentheses. In our case, practically all code
that gets
sourced is in namespace evals.
So $initialize_amsn only works there, because currently, if that var
is not found in the current namespace (obviously, it is not), it is also
looked up in global namespace.
