I am installing Change Management as the first app in ITSM. Right at the
beginning the installer fails to deploy the

I am wanting to create an approval process similar to the Change Management
Chain. However, I want to escalate based on approver's title rather than max

I didn't see an answer to this. If it started around the time DST should have
changed you can try going into the Client Tools Options and take out the Time
Zone.

Has anyone ever successfully used the CMDB web service? We have a vendor that
has come in and is trying to use it, but has been unsuccessful thus far. The
only thing that has happened is that when they attempt to access it, Tomcat
seems to crash and we can no longer use either
We do Environment Refresh from Production for new environments have
documented registry changes other changes required to change the
servername.However if you've installed CMDB 2.0 or greater version ,its
advisable to manually install it as it stores the server name in binaries in
some places
Has anyone changed the server name running ARS 7.1 ITSM 7.0?
We have a hot backup server with the same name as our production server,
but on a different domain and with a different IP. We found out that
they will eventually be on the same domain, so we'll have to change the
name of our hot backup

Unfortunately I can't help with your error but I have got CMDB Web
Services to work in the past.
I take it you have deployed the CMDB web services?
Have you tried using a tool like SoapUI as a simple way to test the web
services?

I have a tool called Web Services Studio that is pretty good. Unfortunately, I
don't think either we or the vendors know what the data we are pushing should
look like, and I'm not sure they are going about it the right way, as they are
trying to write directly to the BMC.ASSET dataset.

Thanks for the email. The web service does seem to be correctly installed, but
we have found that calling some methods causes Tomcat to hang up, and others
just simply don't work. For testing, we're using the appadmin account just to
see if it works, and that still doesn't seem to be

There's no harm in updating the production dataset directly as long as it
meets your business procedures.
Since the web services use the CI instance id as the unique key I guess
you need to issue a serial number query to return the instanceid and then
update the name of the associated CI.
Is it possible to use an existing view in Remedy to only get the records that
changed from the last time it polled? There is a Retrieve Source Records
field and when I select it to Only new or updated since last transfer the
selection field for Last modified timestamp in source is empty.
