I didn't see this one.
Anyone know if there is a more recent or more complete comparison?

The Incident ID and the Entry ID are two completely different fields, that get
out of sequence from each other IMMEDIATELY, even on a brand new ITSM system.
The Entry ID is the link used in AR Task and URL, not the Incident ID.

Straus,
I agree with you. The entry ID used when generated the AR Task and URL should
still reference the same ticket. By activating / clicking on the attachment or
the URL should redirect the user to the same ticket. The problem is that you
end up on a different ticket.

Hi Rebecca,
This sounds familiar to what we had in our setup.
Try the following -
Modify the active link SHR:SHR:SaveActivity_120_ClearFld
In the Execution Options add z3Btn_Add_to_Activity_History to the Button/Menu
Field
Flush Mid-Tier Cache
See if this fixes it.

For some unexplained reason, for a single user, she is now getting 18 copies of
a printed Crystal Report directly to the printer when she clicks on a Print
button in 7.1 using the User Tool. The same action for other users gives only
1 copy. I get the same behavior using her login on my
Take a look at the ar.ini file and see if there are any values set to 18. I
don't see any reference to number of pages.
You could delete the ar.ini file and it will recreate it when the wut is
re-launched. Be warned the wut setting will be set back to the default.
Just to make sure, the
This is a known issue with BMC. We have been struggling through it as
well, it is a Business Objects Defect.

Try to print the same report twice. I could not duplicate the issue because I
just printed one time and saw only 1 copy print. Then I was finally told by the
end-user that the first print always worked correctly.

Nothing in the ar.ini file equals 18. I didn't expect since using a different
login worked fine. Tommy, any more information about the defect that is
claimed or a workaround?
Thanks,
Scott

There is no workaround other than to cancel the print job after the first copy
is finished printing. The end-user that was going to be impacted the most has
simply refused to upgrade from XP. If you can print to SCREEN and then print
this issue does not crop up.
As far as an update, BMC closed
Andre,
Thanks.
I checked the active link it is correct; it has the button in the
execution options.
I just heard from BMC. This may be a known defect.

I'm sure this is totally obvious: Installed 7.6.04.01 with default tomcat::
atrium / SLM / SRM / ITSM ...
in tomcat 6 directory /bin ./shutdown.sh -- no problem says it shutsdown..
do a {ps -ef|grep -i java} have it still running..
try an startup tomcat it says port 8080 and 443 still in use
Since you are on a Unix/Linux did tomcat get added to the armonitor.cfg under
/etc/arsystem/... ?

That stupid SLM collector would not shutdown..
and I am finding weird stuff with this too..
So if I shutdown ARS / and TOMCAT there is an extra JAVA instance left up
again.. Errr...
Also SLM collector continues to run.. so you try and use the /etc/arsystem
monitor.conf /slmpath/execute stop
I was a little quick on that statement.. it did startup.. it took an extra
few min.. .. my bad...
slm just does not shutdown manually.. I will have to play with that..

Yup. That's just ONE of the reasons that I gave up and stuck the SLM Collector
on its own tomcat instance on some bizarre port of its own. If you don't,
upgrading either mid-tier or SLM will trash the other.
