I see this in ITSM 764 starting from the home page. If you try and open the

Just a thought,
If behind a firewall, try allowing Plugin-Port: X thru the firewall.

Although, that's obvious to a Remedy Admin - to the user it's not very

I know that there are a couple of short comings with running the AR System on

wondering if there are short comings running on MS SQL. Not really looking for

You did not mention what version this is for. With 7.5 and later Atrium Core

Dave,
Case Sensitivity is not an issue with MS SQL. Also with 7.6.04 you have
FTS, which provides better search capabilities for both Oracle and SQL. In
my opinion MS SQL has come a long way in the last few releases and can stand
up to Oracle as a true enterprise solution. I think a few
Brian,
I understand. As I said I'm not asking which is better. I'm attempting to
understand if there are any hidden gotchas with MS SQL like there is with
Oracle.
There my not be any but that is what I want to identify.

Lars,
According to our SHARE:Application Properties, we are using version 1.0.01
of the Data Wizard tool (ARS 7.1 / ITSM 7.0.3) (not sure what version you
are on).
We used the Data Wizard (not the Data Load tool) to update our Support

I installed SRM and had FTS enabled, the SRM keyword search would not work. I
disabled FTS and the search worked fine and was case insensitive. FTS has a
problem with searching a LIKE %value%. It will not work at all.

Dave,
Sorry. I wasn't trying to come across as comparing which is better, but after
re-reading my post it doesn't directly answer your question. I have not found
any major gotchas with MS SQL. Oracle case sensitivity has always been an
issue. You can set flags at the db level to change

Jose,
This is a good explanation on how to accomplish this in Oracle. However, I
would really caution going down this path if you do not understand the database
side and remedy tables on the backend. Your recommendation for FTS is as you
say the best option. One slight update though to
