Sorry to ask but I am getting "Server Hang-up" trying to access the BMC
Compatibility site and of course I need an answer immediately.
We are currently using ARS & ITSM 8.1.01 to SQL Server 2008 R2 SP3.
The organization wants to upgrade SQL to SQL12 R2 DB.
Anyone out there know if ITSM 8.1.01
Supposedly it is not as dangerous to use unmatched versions of Developer Studio
as it was to use non-matching versions of the Admin tool. Just using a
different patch level will not cause any issues.
I know I have seen it on the list of people using the v8 Developer Studio
against a 7.6
I can confirm this. I've used v8.1 Dev Studio against 7.6 servers without
issue. I would use the latest version/SP of Dev. Studio you can get,
unless there are any known issues with that against your server version.

Lisa,
If you didn't remove the earlier version of your JDK the system will use
that instead of the Java 5. This drove me batty until I got that KB
information from Remedy Support.

6.3 supports Java 1.4.2x.
7.0.x supports Java 1.4.2x and 1.5x (5.0x).
No current version supports Java 6.0, though it's currently planned for
the next release of AR System.

What's weird is that it still works right? Besides getting this error
