Hi, Turn on your server logs for API/ESCL/FLTR/SQL and try to find out why you are seeing this. Presumably the record has been removed by an Application-Delete-Entry or Application-Query-Delete-Entry call from an ACTL/FLTR/ESCL between the time the user brings it up on screen in Modify-mode and

Syncing Remedy codes

2014-03-17 Thread Ochavillo, Rafael John
Hi All, Has anyone here tried syncing Remedy codes from one server to another? I'm only focused on syncing codes and not data/database/tables. I assume it's pretty much exporting/importing .def files but I'm concerned about the database views if I'm about to import a different copy of

Hi, Database views might be deleted and recreated if something has changed. So if you have granted special permissions or anything on the database level this might get lost. I use def-file for syncing, and I have created a set of tools to Export, Compare, Import and Delete differences between

Thanks for your email, Misi. I don't intend to sync database stuff (tables/views/etc) unless it is necessary. I just want the codes, however, based on this it seems that views will be affected by this too. So could you please share with me how you performed this part -- Database views might

I don't intend to touch anything on the database level unless it will be impacted by the syncing of codes. So I think I will only impact the views and I have to recreate them. Thanks for your help on this. I appreciate it. From: Action Request System discussion list(ARSList)

Unless you have specifically given grants to different users explicitly, you don't need to worry about it I believe. Because OOB, there is nothing given. I have not done that before, script was already present ib the system I was working as it was a SOP. I would consult a DBA to get to the data
