Hello Music097,Science Envasion is an old beta from PB Games. I believe that the game was about some scientest who was going to toronto ontario canada, to get to the bottom of the reason of some strange mutant humans, or something of that nature. The game was unfortunately never completed. I do have the beta in question, but I possibly need permition before I upload. I'm unsure if anyone is allowed to share that beta.If I'm able to, I'll upload it for you. I do enjoy it myself.

You might want to get the $50 Fire tablet. What do you want to do with the tablet? If it's basic things, the Fire might work well enough. I'm going to give in and purchase this thing. It's incredibly cheap so if I decide it's worthless, who cares. The Fire does have a Micro SD slot that supports up to 128 gb cards, so if expandable storage is a perk, you might want to go with that device. Now I'm starting to wonder why I bought my Nexus 7 2 years ago for $224 with no expandable storage.I believe it is possible to root that $50 tablet and install a custom ROM. If worse comes to worse and you hate Amazon's forked version of Android, that is an option. Well, I'm off to buy one of these incredibly cheap tablets. I love getting new toys!

Ahoy allA few questions that I just thought of.@exodus, I was comparing the processor that the 2012 mbp has I5 not the I7, because I haven't seen any I7 macs floating around.Along the same lines, I don't think the moddle I'm looking at is a LA but a md101 HNA or some such.I did ask the guy in the service center if I could upgrade my ram and hdd that is replace the hdd with a ssd,. To which he was like, you can upgrade the ram to 8gb, but many people do it to 16gb as well,but then if your machine has any issues like overheating we won't support you or something along those lines.The idiot was like you can't change the hdd in this when I know that it can be done just fine. duh.See what I mean about having a proper applestore around here...And, the max processor that I can get my macbookpro 2012 is the one it comes with I.E the I5, because the same guy was like we don't upgrade processors. Now to the questions.With just the ram upgraded,how well does the mbp run the latest OSX? does it have slow downs or lag? compared to the newer moddles?I don't know much when it comes to stuff like installing windows and such, but I was under the impression that windows7 could be installed on gpt,as well?It is highly likely that I'd just get a iso of win7 bootcamp it, and then pirate it using one of the ,many tools out there. because now after the mbp and the ram I won't have enough cash to buy a $0.99 app much less win7. so can that be done on a mbp?Cheers to the both of you and thanks for the information.

well I would firstly like to say I have tested the prototype and was hugely impressed. I think it will be fantastic.as for the first game I'd also personally like an rpg style game with turn based menu driven battles etc. kind of like final fantasy. but for quick easy things to throw out there I guess shooters would work. thing is they've been done over and over in the past. centre the sound, hit fire. it gets old very quick.I haven't tried the sdk or what ever it's called so I don't know what's possible or how difficult it would be but I did think maybe a compendium of small simple games would work well. solitaire, freecell, chess, backgammon, all those kinds of things.

Hi.I was just randomly browsing around the audiogames site when I came up to the archive of the audicy magazines, I looked about the archive a bit and opened a issue from 1997, the year in which I was born and read about some of the things that were trending at this time.This brings me to my question, somewhere in the issue, the author mensioned doss games that were accessible by accident and not specifically build for blind players.With the accessible dos machine I am wondering, does still someone know some old doss games beeing accessible? I would love to play maybe strategie and sports games, if that's possible.

I highly recommend FineReader. Note that editing the result of the OCR within FineReader itself is inaccessible. Also, the menus aren't read by NVDA though JAWS is able to read them.

If you're a fan of using Unix-style tools, such as GCC, etc, then you should really consider using Cygwin. You can just download the installer, and pass a few command line parameters to it to download git, openssh client, and more. You can use a command like the following: "setup_x86.exe -P zip -P unzip -P openssh -P " Actually, the same thing can be done with the MinGW system. Just download the installer, and pass a few commands to it to download the standard system. Personally, I'm not a fan of IDEs, since most of them involve a lot of inconsistency as far as accessibility is concerned. However, you can pretty far by developing C/C++ programs by using GNU Make, GCC, and shell scripting.

@Merin, the biscuit one I can't explain, (I know biscuits means something else in the states, though whenever I hear "biscuits and gravy" my stomach does a flip flop), however nickerbocker glory is something specific and so probably doesn't have an American equivalent to translate into (it's not your average icecream sunday).Imagine a tall icecream glass filled with layers of different icecreams, jelly, often fruite and chocolate bits, however layered so you eat your way through specific bits. Usually very highly decorated, fancy looking and expensive, hence why Dudly would want onne, and a big one at that .

Can't believe I didn't catch that. lolI'm curious, can anyone answer for me how on Allen's Dungeon map pack just how to do a search, then if I find the secret door, with only one action use the secret door option?I've already burned the one action performing the search. As soon as the turn is over to get more action points, the secret door option is removed from the menu, but it seems the secret door remains in that room. But, I can't access now that I have the AP to do it with.I hope that was understandable by someone. heheThanks, and if this one is an obvious explaination, I'll stop posting.

You could use the Document OCR functionality in JAWS. Press Insert+Spacebar, O, D. However, it can take a while, so be very patient with it.Another thing you could try is to send the file to an iPhone with an OCR app such as Prizmo or KNFB Reader.

Heya, is it just me, or does everything slow down by a good bit when holding down the left and right arrows?Not only that, but I've had some strange issues with extra lives popping in out of nowhere. It only resets properly after I completely exit the game it seems like, and not after I hit escape and go back to the main menu. Actually, the extra life count resets, but if I've bought extends, I'll end up getting a bunch all at once, as if my upgraded extends count doesn't actualy reset with each game while the program is running. If I knw how else to describe what I'm experiencing, I'd write more, but I think somebody else wrote with similar isues, so I'm going to sign out about it for the present.Other than the above, this update was a great one. Thanks!

What would be the way to use the rotation class on a multi player game?I'm trying, and I can not move the characters in a small map. Must the clientt send the coordinates to the server and calculate the players rotation an the position? Or is the server who must calculate the rotation and the position of the players...I managed to create a minigame with a small map and a few items that can be picked, but I can not use the class with a server.I'm lost!Sorry for my bad english, is not my native language.

I would have to read it through a few more times however to squeeze everything out of it, as the author, well, is quite wordy and doesn't get to the point. However, he did touch on something he called cognitive filters, which, if implemented correctly, would resolve my observation about 'information overload' , in my previous post. Minecraft is a rich and varied environment and it would be very easy, to provide irrelevant information to the player, when all they need to know right now is, there's a creeper right behind you! Another connection I made to Minecraft from that article was accessing the game via a command line interface. As most of us know Minecraft, has a command line interface, commonly used on both single player and server game play. It would be possible, I imagine, to create a mod for Minecraft were you could interact with the Minecraft environme
 nt using this interface as apposed to the mouse. Creating a host of commands, able to tell you about your immediate environment, battle commands, mining commands and  building commands, among others. Thank you for posting that link, it was great food for thought.

This approach should stop many of the speed hacks.  Trying to catch them all is probably more trouble than it's worth, haha, since you'd need to compare game ticks to an external server, and use enough encryption to make sure no one was modifying their local tick counter.  It's basically a huge pain in the butt so very few game companies bother covering all the angles.

@MikeFont, you probably created an extra sub folder.For instance, in the Data for TB\Map Packs folder you should have a War for earth folder.And within that you should find a map pack settings.txt file and folders like units, items, skills, etc.If instead you find another War for earth folder, this is why the game can't find the files it needs.Look at the folder structure of a map pack that does work in the game, then compare it with the map packs you unzipped manually to see the difference.Saves are stored in the Data for TB\Saved games folder.To back them up, just copy them elsewhere.Unfortunately save games are not guaranteed to work between game versions, and often don't.

@grryf:You are not going to notice any meaningful differences for the workload you describe. Really, these MBPs are still sold precisely because they work for the bulk purchasers that buy them. Read this. Marco is strongly pro-Apple, but he's absolutely correct. It's still a perfectly good machine for what it is, and everything you need to do that isn't extremely GPU-intensive, such as the everyday work of computing, will work just fine. Especially if you max the processor and then, independently, upgrade RAM and HDD.Now assuming you go for it, you should know that this model won't boot MBR-partitioned disks via USB. You must have optical media and an optical drive (whether internal or external). (OS X, of course, boots just fine as it's GPT, not MBR.)Also, I do advise you to use OS X to update the firmware, at a minimum, and maybe also to get Windows drivers with BootCamp. You could
  minimise the partition size and install Windows alongside or on another disk, or with more elbow-grease, do a fully Windows-only installation. You can't perform firmware upgrades from an external drive, so I suggest you run the machine in its out-of-box state through a complete upgrade to the latest release of OS X, at least once. But once you have done that, and gotten your firmware upgrades, it's basically a PC, and you can do whatever you want with it. I hope, but don't know, that the firmware will include network booting of the recovery image; if not, now is the perfect time to create it. @Dark that is odd I do recall other British terms that were not changed. One being  knickerbocker glory and I remember thinking what the heck is that? I later learned it was an ice cream sundae but was very confused at the time. I also remember Professor McGonagall telling Harry to "Have a biskit Potter." Untill I was told it was a cookie I thought it was odd that they would be eating biskets in a office. @Merin  I agree also a Jim Dale fan and the 7th book was not as good as it should have been. Also good points about the enchantments. My favorite book is the Prisoner of Azkaban.

Hi all,I'm now using the latest TB dev as I wanted to try the latest version and the newest maps.I've used the links above to download and extract the map packs into folders I created in the Data for TB\Map Packs directory.The maps I downloaded were Dungeon, War for Earth and Rampage 2.0.Well, strange situation here. I loaded the latest dev version of TB and went to play a map pack, but... the list was empty.  I had to download a map pack through the game such as tower defense to get that list populated. Since War for Earth was in that downloadable list, I got that too. Sadly, War for Earth never did show up in the play a map pack list, only Tower Defense.Btw, when I load the latest TB, I'm told map pack settings.txt and Author.txt files were not found for any of the packs mentioned above except for Tower Defense, that was ok.I appreciate any help letting me know what I might've done wrong.

If you buy a cross-platform game on Steam, you can use it on any platform which is very nice. Regarding Skullgirls, I asked Lirin to talk to Mike about adding accessibility support. The response was that Mike would talk to the person responsible for the Mac port, though adding it wouldn't be as easy as Windows (lack of a talk equivalent is probably a problem). That was at least a month ago, right when Second encore was released. I haven't heard anything after that.I wonder if the --useClipboard switch would work on the mac version. I would need to ask someone sighted to help me see if the mac steam even has a Launch Options option in the game properties.

Yes, aprone basicly said everything. This speed_stop function get's rid of editing the timers that are in memory, at least in BGT. I think the reason this works is because BGT doesn't keep it's unix_timestamp in memory, instead when ever you call the variable it grabbs it from another process/dll/C API. Anyway, with the cheat program at least I tested with, it was unable to modify the unix timestamp, so that always went up every second. So what this does is, if it sees that a game timer has gone up by 3 seconds and the unix timestamp only went up by 1 second or not at all, the game must be running really fast, aka a speedhack. Same for the reverse. If a game timer has elapsed 200 milliseconds but teh unix timestamp shot up by 5 seconds, we know theres something rong and someone is trying to make the game run slow.

I'm a jim dale fan, personally.  When I've read through, I don't recall principal being used -- I'll have to pay more attention.As to the blind thing, I would imagine that, since you know magic, there would be different accomidations.  Several times throughout the book, things are bewitched to do certain things -- rita's quill, for example, the "potter stinks" badges, percy's badge, etcetera.  Why couldn't we bewitch a textbook to read allowed?  There are also detection spells of every sort, so, we could charm something to detect objects and people, if not just drink a potion to get/regain sight.As to the books, I hated the seventh book for several reasons.  Fanfics and my hatred of those and the seventh book are too long for me to desire to go into now, though.  I will state that there are several good fanfics out there.

Hi all.So, I have finally seem to got my Steam account to work, at leased on my Mac. I see that Skullgirls is also released for Mac, but does that include the accessibility as well? If I buy the game, do I then buy both the Windows and the Mac version? Then I'll give it a try, and just put it on my Windows if it won't work on my Mac. How much space does the game require?Edit: I have tried multiple times to add my visa credit card as my payment option, but it doesn't get accepted. I'm afraid I don't agree phenix about the score. The way the games work is usually the maximum score is 20 points, and you begin at minus 20, thus meaning you need to get over fifty percent to succeed, accept with bonus games. IMho this is more than okay, indeed if it were less the games would be too easy and we'd just rattle through too quickly. The only games with real score problems are the single win loss ones, but those don't tend to matter since once you've worked out how to win your usually okay.About the maths challenges, I disagree that the time needs to be changed, actually  the way to succeed is! to slow down and stop rushing. none of the  maths questions are uba hard quadratic equations. Perhaps since people have had so much trouble the score could be changed, eg, three points per correct answer instead of 2 thus maning you need fewer right answers to progress, but imho the difficulty of the games is fine, nobody said eve
 ry minigame had to be easy. I do agree about coins and rewards though, though I hope since this has been one of the main issues with the game Pragma will give us more uses for coins and ways of getting gems later on.

This would make it easier for those who have issues with math. The rhythms do not give me enough time to figure out those tough problems. I am not saying I suck at mental math, but I need more time than is allowed to correctly answer those pesky problems. I cannot find a way to get very far in the Intellectual world without doing all four operation challenges.In the rewards room, it is impossible to see what rewards are available for purchase with your preciously earned gems, unless you have enough to purchase one. For example, when you unlock a minigame and have one gem, you can play it for the cost of one gem.  Instead of calling it Rewards Room, call it Rewards Sho
 p. We would then be able to find out what all is available for purchase, as well as how many Gems it would cost.Another suggestion is the purpose of coins. Kyleman yes, that's the basic idea.  By forcing the game to run faster than it was intended (using various approaches), it can give the player an advantage.  The same idea is also used to slow down a game, but it is still called a speed hack.  In games of quick reaction (battling monsters and such), slowing down the game is more useful than speeding it up.  In strategy type games where you may have to wait for resources to build up, speeding up the game is more useful.

if your comparing the older i7 in the macbook with the I7 6500u, It really looks like this.I7 6500u supports faster ram, has a much more powerfull integrated graphics system and supports newer PCI standards. The 6500u U also has a hardware Video Decoder, which reduces load when dealing with video content, including 4K H.264 and the newer H.265(HEVC) standard.  The i7 in the 2012 macbook pro 13 inch just edges out the 6500U in benchmarks, but your hardly going to notice the few extra points it gains. The newer GPU in the 6500U, plus the more modern things it supports are nice to have,  But you wouldn't be giving up a lot going for the older hardware in the macbook.

Installing the game  into two different places works without a hitch.  In fact if you want to be able to play the Demon wars map properly, you pretty much have to do this anyway  Else scripts get messed up and things break spectacularly .  .  .

For those who want to brave Steam, this version is fully playable as well. If you already have an account it's just a matter of launching the game. It's quite small too so shouldn't take too long to download. however, I'll probably be playing through this on iOS myself.

I am able to download all of the tracks by indexing the /wp-content/uploads directory. @eric, if i'm doing something rong by downloading files not directly from your actual webpage, I need to know. Also, your credits require me to list every song I use if I use more than your music. Would it not be ok to say music by this person, this person, and eric matyas at soundimage.org? If I have to list all the names I will, but thought i'd at least ask sence I want to use some of these tracks in my game and possibly a lot of them, and that could make the credits page get really big. Again, just asking.

@Guitarman, I need to reread the Stand. I watched the miniseries many years ago, but haven't see it for ages, likewise I'd really like to read the book again since I last read it 20 years ago. I do have under the dome currently on my Victor, but at the moment I'm deep into the scar by China Nievil. Perdido street station is one of the best books I've read for a considerable while (indeed I gave it a perfect 10 on fantasybookreview.co.uk), and the sequel is proving pretty good, though perhaps because it's not quite as extremely dark as the first book it's not quite as compelling,  thenagain I'm not even halfway through yet so we'll see as big bad things seem to be happening. The series is  sort of steampunk fantasy set in another world, but with lots of weerd races, magic, science, steam powered robots and other crazy stuff. It's one of these things that would just seem weerd for weerd's sake if it weren't for ho
 w well written it is. I do have Ready player `1 by earnist Clien on my victor at the moment and I plan to read it soon, though the list of "books I plan to read" is pretty long . @Nocturnus, if you'd told me a year ago that I'd be halfway across the world about to get married, I'd have wondered what you were smoking . Hope you and Mrs. Nocturnus aren't too much awake at night,  which is something of a paradoxical statement really. Mrs Dark and I are absolutely and categorically not! having children. Mrs. Dark can't, and I am slightly ambivalent on the subject anyway, I'd rather have dogs . Wel things 
 are continuing to be alternatives of busyb and stressed. We now have wedding rings which is good, indeed I have thought ahead since if I ever get lepracy ad get transported into a fantastical other world, I'll have some white gold on hand, of course that would probably also mean Mrs. Dark ceasing to love me and me turning into an utter barstard so maybe scratch that plan, still we now have whitegold rings, or at least we will when sized. The Wedding service is likely to be interesting, with lots of weerd music (including Jurassic park), as well as Mrs. Dark and I singing one hand one heart from west side story. we're just trying to sort everything out and get things fixed, which is proving something of a hassle given lack of time and given the fact that we actually need! a  mariage license and other things for MRs. Dark's entry visa to the Uk. Still, it's a nice way to get shattered, even if it does mean getting shattered, and also not having much tim
 e for games etc,  though fortunately they're not going anywhere .

@Cw, for a good guide to some of the major differences between Uk and Us English, see This blog post which also goes into culture, climate and lots of other facts about the Uk. It is also written specifically for Americans writing Harry potter fanfics, so has a lot of potter references too. yes, the game Americans call Socca is football in the Uk (and quite a few other places). American Football really isn't played over here, indeed I don't think it's played outside the states (rugby is a slightly similar game though i'm told the rules and even shape of the ball are vastly different). There are however many more differences, eg, headmaster instead of principle, pavement instead of sidewalk, rubbish instead of garbage, trainers instead of sneakers. Actually this is one reason it's rather irritating the books got sensored for Americans, indeed being over
  here in the states now I do find I have to occasionally clarrify when i use the Uk name for things, where as an American in the Uk would still be understood since we hear a lot of the American words from American books and tv.@Jefb,  Apparently the reason philosopher was changed to sorcerer really was! because according to Tor books, Americans don't know what a philosopher is so they thought the book wouldn't sell. Of course this is quite silly given that the concept "philosopher's stone" is a very real thing that alchemists like the historical Nicholas Flamelle really did look for in the past, where as there is no such thing as a sorcerer's stone.

Mason got hacked through NVDA Remote or something similar. He posted about it in off topic discussion. As you know, Mason collaborated on Redspot, thus has a copy of the code. That was stolen from either him, or Sam. The only way I can suggest fixing this is re encrypting the connection and/or changing the port. Obviously if this doesn't work... we have bigger issues. But hopefully Sam will look into that

I do have one feature suggestion though for some of the more difficult games that may or may not have bonuses, I do wish that you wouldn't start at -20 points or you weren't capped at 20, that way you would still have to work to get said bonuses but you wouldn't have to get what is a perfect score, and in a single try too

Unfortunately, instead of making a real PDF file with text and graphics, these files were made by simply scanning the manual pages as images into the PDF file.I tried loading the file into Adobe reader, but because it detects my assistive technology, JAWS, it's attempt to make the document accessible results in an empty file. Other wise I'd just print it, then scan it with Open Book.So what I need is a program that can load the PDF file, do an OCR on the images, and save the result as either a word document or similar or as a plain text file.Does any of you use or know of such a program? Any recommendations what to look at? Since I have encountered PDF files that are just images of pages a number of times, the program doesn't have to be free.Thanks!

Hmmm, Guitarman, I'm a bit confused as to what you mean there, since with all of the blindfold games, plus the others like spellstack etc, it seems Ios has quite a collection of puzzle games of different sorts, indeed in the blindfold series there are ios versions of many games that we know from windows such as the tyle puzzle, solitare, sudocu etc.

@raygrote, You will find bonus games by exploring the map. just as a hint for example, try up arrow in the hights, or in the beach, try and see what happens if you go out to sea. I don't know how many worlds there are since I haven't really had time for sustained play and haven't unlocked volcano yet, but I do know there are more games in the other worlds than you might initially think and sometimes going through them more than once and exploring you can find little goodies, especially by exploring multiple routes and directions. The only change I'd request for this is as I said, perhaps a coordinates key to show your position, and maybe a note on the number of games in the world in total (bonus and normal). Btw, as far as bonus games go, I believe the bonus games are the ones where you literally cannot lose, ie, you start at zero points and your score just goes up from there, like the forest bonus game where you have to dig for items. For e
 lectric, I just used my normal type dec and kicked rear quite successfully. Actually, I've noticed that several gyms are worked out so that you canot just rely on the weakness of whatever element the gym is to win, for example the fire gym has the tree on fire who is a flame and grass type, which provides problems if you just intend to go in with a water dec. I'd love to see a chat system myself, especially when waiting for online battles.

Moderation! Thanks for  posting the topic about this game, however Niels Bauer have stated there are no access fixes for screen readers as yet. Maybe that will change in the future, but for the time being I'll move this topic out of new releases.

With the SRC they can do things wich we can't think of them; like yesterday I sau one flying the whole map, and he started to use the item grabber. I thought that I could kill him while he was doing, but my mind stay frozen when I sau him stuck in the air, and concerning the project tile it's a kind of cheat.
