connor142,I don't know what happened, but I have the latest version of VipMud with NVDA 2020.3, and it works fine for me. I even tried switching the voice to sapi, without any errors occurring when I switched it back. Also, with Sapi on Vipmud, you can do selected speech if you want, and allow the control key to be pressed if you wanted to stop it being too, chatty. I hope this is at least somewhat helpful information.

I meant when I said that the Program Files (X86) directory associated with RSGames is deleted, not the entire directory itself, so in other words, just the client's folder within the directory. A Question On Another’s Behalf

Hello everyone,I am coming at you all again with a question which I had help with earlier: getting RS Games client to work when it will not launch for no particular reason after Windows has been updated. Now, a friend of mine is having the same problem on a Windows 10 machine running RS Games Client 2.2. I told her to uninstall the application and re-install it, to delete the ZGP folder in Apdata, and to delete the GenPi folder in %temp%. She has done all of these things, and also checked that the Program Files (x86) directory is empty after the application has been installed. Is there anything else that I have not told her that could get the application to launch? It has not been flagged as a Windows Security threat. I hope that the information I have provided is sufficient.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled it, and after uninstalling I did clear out the ApData folder in which the RS stuff was located, but unfortunately, the application still will not launch. It just sits there, and doesn’t even give me a (not responding) message. Nothing happens. I hope that the information I have given is sufficient for further assistance.

In my personal opinion, the audio gaming industry does not have to die. Yes, would it be nice if video games became accessible to us? It would, but that would also have to come with most of the sighted community in a global sense accepting that we can do more than they expect us to do, and to actually include blind people around the world in a unified discussion of what to do. Also, while there resides a creative mind playing audio games, and has done some good research is in other games, the audio games industry can then be rejuvenated, so personally, I’m not giving up on the audio games industry by a long shot. I have definitely appreciated titles like Bokurano Daibouken 2, and Manamon’s titles, that have come out in the last decade, and I eagerly anticipate anything that may come in the future, provided that developers and players of games think to the future, and produce the skills to build it.

I agree with most of the dissenters on here. I think if any FPS is to rise from this, the developer of said FPS should analyze carefully in which Red Spot, succeeded, but more importantly, the ways in which it failed. I also think polling the community (and the feedback of major gamers like Jayde and others is invaluble), could make an even better FPS than Red Spot ever was at the height of its greatness.Also, I am not a believer in the creation of clones. I think that any developer who makes a clone without paying respect to the original developer of the project is displaying laziness, disrespect for the community as a whole, and disrespect for anyone who dedicates a significant amount of time to developing a project.I know my criticisms of those who develop clones was harsh indeed, but until I hear some good, hard reasons why clones are acceptable in any community, that is my view on this topic.

@@Cyco,You haven’t really given us a lot of information we can work with here. Is it possible that you could  copy and paste the error code into a post so we can see what it is? I have a zipped folder with a dependency that might help. Also, install the Microsoft Media components, as well as the VB6 runtimes found on agarchive.net. Let us know if you need any help with that stuff. Another idea that you could try is installing CommAudio from the Audio Games Archive as well. All of those utilities will knock out any issues with LightTech Interactive’s titles.I hope this post was helpful to you.

What the item power surge in Super Deekout does is it increases the amount of time a powerup lasts. For example, let's say you get a speed-up item shortly after obtaining the power surge. Without it, the powerup will probably last from 10-15 seconds. With the power surge, it is doubled. In answer to @Christian's question, the power surge is obtained if the user manages to collect all the coins in the Coin Shower bonus round.

I would say Super Liam does a pretty good job, with its barrage of traps and such, not to mention trying to escape that volcano. Also, there's the Bokurano Daibouken titles. They are all free.

The demo of VIPMud let's you play a mud for a total of 2 hours if it is not the mud that comes with it, Valhalla. Also, Mud Sound Protocol (MSP) does not work in the demo, and only one character is allowed per session of the client. I have the full version of the client, and I have found it far easier to use, interface-wise, than mush-z, despite the native sound pack support for Alter Aeon. There are a few sound packs that are available for Alter Aeon with VIPMud, but none of them are as sophisticated, or as vast as that of Mush-Z, in part, I believe, because people have not taken enough time to develop an equally competent sound pack for this MUD. @MaranatàDid you download the file called sd_full.exe? Also, what operating system are you running? Do you have the Visual Basic 6 runtimes downloaded? That may help, especially if you are running Windows 7 or later. Also, try and re-download Super Deekout again, and run the setup as administrator. I hope this helps.

Judgement Day Issue

Hello everyone. Ever since I got the free version of Judgement Day, I have only been able to get 34 trophies, in no particular order. Has anyone else had this problem of sorts, and are there any ideas on how to get around it? I am running a Windows 10 64-bit computer with a 512 GB SSD and 12 gigabytes of RAM if that helps in any way. Thanks for any help that may be provided.

RSGames Client Issue

Hello everyone. I was trying to open the RSGames client recently when suddenly the client wouldn't launch at all. I have tried running it in different compatibility modes, everything I can think of, even restarting my computer and uninstalling and reinstalling the application several times. It just won’t launch at all. I am running Windows 10 with the latest update. I must mention here that this does not happen with any other application. Does anyone know why this could be happening and how to fix it? Thanks.

While they may not have released anything new within the last three years, I can affirm that GMA Games is still a thing, because I have requested a replacement key from them from an old version of a game within the past year, and David Greenwood has been very efficient in responding. Hello all. I’m trying to install the Shockwave plug-in to play games like the Curb Game in Internet Explorer. I am running a Windows 10 64-bit system with the latest version of Windows 10 installed. When the files begin to unpack (about 32% or so), I get an "error opening file for writing" message. Does anyone know how to fix this in any way to get Shockwave working? Are you familiar with Vipmud's scripting language? If so, then you could look at your .set file and see if there are any pieces of code that may make your triggers fire correctly. 2. You could copy the .set file on here, and someone more adept at the language could look at it and help you. Hello. @TurtlePower, you can make it work by doing the following:Make sure vbrunSp6.exe and the windows audio media distributables are installed. Then download the Visual Basic 6 Run-time+ zip file from Source Forge, extract it, and install the necessary files. This, if done correctly, assuming you have installed .Net Framework with one of AProne's games, will enable the running of the original Troopanum's Pipe's shortcuts with administrator. I know I got the new Classic Troopanum to run under Windows 7. Usually anything that runs on 7 can run on 10, with some tweeks. I wonder what is unusual here. Let me know if you get any errors.

When I run it as administrator in System 32, I get the same error, however when I don’t run it as administrator in that directory, this error appears: ---RegSvr32---The module "dxkey.ocx" may not compatible with the version of Windows that you're running. Check if the module is compatible with an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of regsvr32.exe.Any ideas with that one? Thanks for all the help that has been given so far.

I tried that, and I repeatedly receive an error saying the OCX failed to load. The following error is this: The module "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\dxkey.ocx" failed to load.Make sure the binary is stored at the specified path or debug it to check for problems with the binary or dependent .DLL files.The specified module could not be found.What do I do to make any command in the run dialog run as administrator? Thanks so much for the response.

What is needed register DXKEY.ocx?

Hello everyone. I know I might sound like a broken record. I am trying to install Pipe 1.0. I have the Visual Basic dependencies needed, but one important file is not able to be registered. This file is DXKEY.OCX. I have checked and it is currently in my SysWOW64 folder. What must I do to register this file successfully? Thank you to anyone that may respond.

I got it working now. Install the Windows Media Audio Redistributables Package on the Audio Games archive, and it should work. Thanks for the help guys. Dark, if you want to get Pipe2 Blast Chamber and Troopanum to work. Follow these steps:1. Create a batch file(.bat) in notepad with syntax similar to what I will display below. This is the one I have created for Blast Chamber: @echo offstart "Pipe ""C:\Program Files (x86)\Blast Chamber\pipe.exe"To copy the 2. Run the batch file as administrator, and you should be good to go. If this does not work, please describe (in as much detail as you can) the error you are experiencing, and I will try and help you.

Hello guys. I have obtained the old setup for Trupanum 1.6 from pmsworld.tdrealms.com/blindsoftware, and I tried installing it on Windows 10. I get the following error:DXKEY.OCX or one of its dependencies is not correctly registered. File is missing or invalid. I want to try and get it compatibly running through command prompt. okay. an update's needed I think. Liam's fixed some trophies, so here are some gaps that can be filled in.egg trotter is gained by playing all the modes at least once.Trifecta is earned by getting 3 consecutive number ones on the boards.seven up is earned by getting 7 number ones on the boards.egg master is earned by getting number one on every score board.I hope this helps for some of you.I am still unsure how to get loser.
