I do also go with thrash, black and death metal for some ocasions, but not all of the time.I also have my liking for medieval german folk rock and metal, stuff like.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-PpZR_nHg4Currently acts I tend to listen to are Ramstein, Sabaton, Powerwolf, Amaranthe, Blue Stali, Freedom Call, FFDP, and a bunch of other stuff, quite hard to tell exactly .Greetings Moritz.Thought Vogelfrey  was quite interesting. Definitely not used to hearing a German metal band actually using German lyrics in their songs,  since so many of the popular German metal groups (freedom call, Avantasia, Edguy, Helloween, etc.)  use English lyrics. Almost all  of the other groups you mentioned are on my metal playlist as well.If you’re into Sabaton,  I highly recommend you check out some stuff bye  Ravenous E.H.https://youtu.be/XrLpIfqyRyg Likewise, if you’re into Powerwolf, I would recommend giving Gloryhammer a go.https://youtu.be/KDjfLpbfR4o

It's not necessarily about having a storyline per attraction, but it's giving each attraction an audio identity, whether that's queue, loading or on-ride. Perhaps some rides might not be suited to ahve on-board audio though.  Yeah, heavily themed attractions are usually the ones to get on—board/in-queue audio,  but I’ve heard of it being used on a few more traditional style attractions as well (i.e  Hollywood rip ride rocket and Hollywood dream at Universal Parks, blue fire at Europa park,  and  most of the rides at Thorpe Park and Alton Towers).   The latter two ( Thorpe Park and Alton Towers)  are actually pretty close to your description of a park with audio for all the rides (as far as I know, all the major ones have audio).  Definitely agree that it gives the rides a unique identity (in the case of Thorpe Park and Alton Towers, they can make even the more typical/mundane attractions pretty exciting).  Would love to see (or should I say here) more parks follow their lead.      Getting back on topic,  my answer isn’t all that exciting.    In the grand scheme of things,   I’m not sure if  work would be all that different  with full site.  I might be in a different field, but would probably still be working some kind of office job,  though.

Re: Changes to YouTube mobile site?

A bit of a late reply, but better late than never, I guess. The issue I first posted about seems to have been fixed, and most of the site is pretty easy to navigate. Unfortunately, when it comes to actually playing videos,  (You know, what most people use YouTube four) The site has gotten far worse, and it’s   Basically unusable with voiceover. @CAE_Jones:   I had the exact same thought, and while I was able to hold out for quite a while, I eventually had to cave and download the YouTube app.   Thankfully, as dan_c  pointed out, it could be far worse,  if twitch is anything to go by.

@matt1211:   Are you talking about the problem with Google Chrome/NVDA, or the issue with multiple tabs being open in adobe reader?@defender:    While I haven’t had any problems with web browsers,  or when using multiple windows at once, navigating through folders and settings, or even just on the desktop,   has always been a real pain with NVDA.    When navigating through the desktop  or Windows Explorer, for example, there’s always this weird lag going on  it doesn’t show up anywhere else.    A prime example is  downloading something off the Internet. Everything runs smooth as glass while  i’m on Google Chrome, but when it comes time to save the file,  or find/open it once it’s been saved, navigating to the proper folder is an absolute nightmare.Good to hear they’re looking into making things faster.  Would be nice to not have to switch between Jaws  and NVDA constantly. Do you know when the new version will be available?

Changes to YouTube mobile site?

While using YouTube on the iPhone, I’ve noticed a few changes in regards to how the site works with voiceover. The biggest change seems to be that most of the headings have disappeared from the page. Before, the title of each video on the page would show up as its own heading,  and other information about the video, like time, date added, channel, etc.each  showed up as separate links.    This made the site very easy to navigate and read. Now, it seems like nearly all these headings,  along with the separate links for other info,   have disappeared, and the seperate pieces of information for  each video are  read as one large link  by voiceover.Has anybody else noticed this, and if so, is it giving them trouble?

Ive posted this in another forum but I think itll help. Itd a dating/general advice podcast that gives all sorts of information on this kinda stuff. Heres the link:http://theartofcharmpodcast.com/As for what Ive eperienced with the friend zone, Id say the best thing you can do is to not rush things too quickly, but try to spend time with her, and make it somewhat obvious that youre into her. If she isnt youll know. If thats the case, no problem. Itll suck, sure, but if youre able to move on, chances are shes friends with other girls who are just as attractive. In that case, the friend zone doesnt always have to be a bad thing.

Re: Coasters/Amusement Parks?

^Thats awesome that youve gotten to do all that amazing stuff!... I know a lot of blind people who arent nearly as adventurous as some of the posters on this topic. In regards to the motion simulator, Ive done afew of those as well. The best one, however, was actually quite simple.. no water or fire effects, not 3d... just a 20 seat car mounted on a platform with a small screen in the front. It was at the Huntsville Space Center in Alabama, and had a mars theme I believe, but thats irrelevant... the theme wasnt what made this ride special... it was how insane it was! sitting in the very back row, you got tossed out of your seat multiple times (there was no seatbelt, just a bar to hold onto in front of you), and i actually enjoyed it more than some roller coasters ive been on! It was great Speaking of coasters
, a couple great rides you might want to try if you get the chance are what is called mega/giga coasters. Theyre massive. From 200 to just over 300 ft tall, but feature no inversions. Canada, where Im located, has 3 such rides, Behemoth, Leviathan and Goliath, all of which are top notch, world class level coasters.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=177924#p177924

Re: Girls at school harder 2 get than ones Outside of School?

^Yeah, thats another good point of your own. Taking time to get to know the person is usually a good idea. Ive met a few girls who seem interesting at the time, but when you get to know them, they turn out to be real bs. This is even more important for people such as most of us on here who are visually impaired. It sucks, but unfortunately some people will try to take advantage of you... the key to avoiding that, at least from what Ive found, is to take things just a tad slower. If something doesnt feel right, youll be able to catch it early.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=177926#p177926

Re: Girls at school harder 2 get than ones Outside of School?

^Ya, getting in shape sure helps. As for ways of meeting girls, it sure doesnt just have to be sports though. I just chose that as an example as Ive had some experience in that field with school teams and such. Can pretty much be anything that just gets you out and involved in the comunity. As long as youre out meeting new people, and having a good time, things will probably work for ya.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=14#p14

Coasters/Amusement Parks?

Thought this might be an interesting topic to start.Sure, not everyones a fan of big rides, but count me in the group that is! If anyone on here has seen my YouTube channel, youll probably notice that I post more than just audiogame commentaries on there. I travel quite a bit, and often stop by at local amusement parks and fairs to both ride the rides, and to update my YouTube channel with reviews and videos (or at least what I can film with the minimal sight I have lol). In addition, Im also a member of a few online forums/fan clubs, and will occasionally write reviews of various rides on there. So, anyone else here a fan of this stuff? Any favourite rides, or possibly reasons why youre *not* a fan? Share your thoughts!URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=17#p17

welshweyr wrote:The first problem is thinking of a girl as something to get. How about meet? I was blind in highschool as well but I did this crazy thing called talking to girls as friends and seeing where it led. A poster earlier on talked about highschool girls being young and immature; you should see highschool boys! Also, you cant just say that someone will react in a certain way because of where you meet them. There will be girls in your highschool who will get on excellently with you, you just havent met them. Get a hobby and meet people who share your enthusiasm with it. You never know where that friendship might lead. Its just really important to not immediately evaluate every girl you meet as a piece of meat you can do. Theyre people and theyre not stupid. If they meet a penis with a boy plodding along behind it, whether he can see or not, theyre going to
be turned right off from the start.Im sure many people will think this post is boring and unhelpful. The only defense Im prepared to give is that Ill be proved right by most of you by the time youre 30.Exactly. Probably some of the best advice on this thread. In the half a year or so since I started this thread, Ive taken this advice from other people, and it works. (Im in HS, so no, it doesnt just work when youre 30 haha). Since Ive just loosened up, and not really thinking about the fact that you wanna, well, get with them, then usually things work. Also, as I said a few posts back, joining school clubs and getting a hobby really helps. Nto to brag, but after I joined a couple of sports at our schol, and our team made the provincial championships, the girls started to take notice a lot more, and when we were outa town at meets and tournaments, thats where I m
et many of them. A lot of girls thought it was pretty interesting that a blind guy was traveling with the team, and like I said before, the whole blindness thing usually just fades into the background once you get to know the girl. Also liked another point that someone else said, about not worrying about the, *quote, disability, unquote*, I found that us blind teens are actually quite fortunate when it comes to meeting women. Not to bag on, or feel sorry for other disability groups, but Ive found that it could be much worse, so to speak. For example, if youe hearing impaired/handicapped instead of visually impaired/handicapped, theres issues such as sign language to deal with. Not that its impossible to work around, but it seems a little more awkward, at least IMO. Then again, Im sure most of my sighted friends wouldnt call being blind easy either lol.Anyways, great poi
nts. And thanks to welshwer for posting this. It sounds like worn out advice, but trust me, it works URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=177653#p177653

Re: Girls at school harder 2 get than ones Outside of School?

^Totally agree man . Out of the blind women Ive met, like you, its not been the fact of being with another blind person that bugs me, it was that their attitudes sucked. A lot of the sighted girls Ive met recently have just simply been fun to be around. The ones I get along with tend to find the fact Im blind to be pretty interesting, but in a good way... Its actually more of a conversation starter while meeting new girls than anything else. As Im involved in my school/comunity, doing teams/school activities etc. girls from other schools are usually surprised to find that a blind student is on x team, club, event etc. Once we get talking, it usually just fades into the back of their mind.If only a lot of the blind girls Ive met could put appositive spin on it like that URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=177535#p177535
