One man posted in a tread in another forum. He worked in a studio. Dont
remember where or when. His statement of claim was that jitter dos not
exsist. It is something the pro audio hardware industry has invented to
earn more money on hardware sales.
Jitter doesn't exist?
So, I CAN have that
It does make a thud in the speakers as it cycles.
Sean, perhaps you are right. Problem is that my normal listening level
is around -20db, but with some tracks it can be as much as -4db. I'm
not aware of any levelling for FLACs so if I attenuatted by 10db I'd
find myself short of volume on some

Hi Krzys
The digital reciver in the Behringer (CS8420) is known to have trouble
with the levels of SPDIF (0,5V). It works better with the higer levels
of AES/EBU. But it works great for my DCX in SPDIF mode. But I have
changed the termination resistor from 110 to 75 ohm. Maybe that is why

Of course Sean and other knowledgeable members were right; there should

Maybe. How can you tel for sure?. Anyway, the CS8420 is best driven

different from SPDIF. If you change the attenuator

There are two sorts of people, those who care if a thread goes off-topic
and those who don't. Only the OP should really express an opinion on
their own threads in this respect. After all, no-one has to read stuff

Sorry to be jumping in so late to this thread.
As krysz points out, the Inguz plugin *does* alter the digital signal
level, even when EQ settings are flat. This gives some headroom for
when you want non-flat EQ settings, and is by design.

I saw your comments about the syncing in the Beta forum but thought
that was more a slimserver issue rather than a firmware one. Thinking

start researching XLR attenuators. I'm sure I've read a few threads
