Cari, You need to try looking for a Joao born around Feb 1837 in Topo, Sao Jorge island. Search all of 1837. If that doesn't work, then try 1836 1838. If that doesn't work, try 1835 1839. If that doesn't work, look for more sources in your home country where you can get his birth date or
