On www.ancestry.com it has some of my ancestors born in Parlugal and
one born in Perceira. I googled Parlugal and the only thing of
interest said, Do you mean Portugal? Would Parlugal just be a
misinterpretation (writing) of Portugal? Would Perceira really be
Terceira?

I did find an original census and when I looked at the script, and
knowing it may be Portugal, I could see that it WAS Portugal and not
Parlugal! Now to find one that has Parlugal, Azores, Portugal to see

I haven't been to Terceira but my grandfather was also born there -
supposedly Angra do Heroismo. How do I get birth certificates? (Some
others were born there, also.) I had hoped to visit there with my
cousin but she had a stroke and may not be up to it for years and we're
no spring
It's the 1881 census that is confusing. The earlier one at least looks
like what they printed. The image will eventually come up after going
through all the hoops!
