Is it necessary to trigger a rescan just because someone edits and saves
a playlist through the web interface ? Isn't the information already in
the database when the playlist has been edited through the SBS web
interface ?

Sorry I meant "it has to be transcoded at the moment" - native ALAC is
not working properly yet according to AndyG.

I modified the file type settings to have all files played as native
only if possible or transcoded to PCM (for ALAC mainly)... the issue is

Yes the Control Panel app does have a clear option could probably
have used that.
I just deleted the cache directory, not the prefs

FYI In 7.6 the Cover cache is actually now SQLite based, instead of
filebased, which gives better performance. Especially when scanning.
My understanding is that SQLite is used for cover cache no matter if
you are using SQLite or mysql for the main database.

A long shot Iweb-Ui settings > andvanced > formatting you can specify
other names of the art file try Folder.jpg with capital "F" but thats a
long shot.
